@Anthony_Daniels some games I'm not sure about, and never buy, but appear on the subscription, so I find i like it enough I'll either play a game i wasn't going to buy anyway or buy the game if i think it's something I'll play again one day, or a physical copy if one exists.
I'm thrilled it's got a physical release on PS4 (would prefer ps5 for increasing my ps5 collection but oh well), as in the UK at least none of the previous games have seen a release on disc to my knowledge.
It's interesting how the pixel characters option doesn't fit the backgrounds at all but they were fine on DS, just shows what a low resolution can do!
@riceNpea Always nice to see the Amiga mentioned, I held on to mine long enough to see it get CD and HDD drives until it died in the early noughties. I mean go kaput.
I used to run a video game shop and I often got to play game early, I remember once we got a PS3 Dynasty Warriors game in 2 weeks before it's release date! They usually only let us have them 1 or 2 days early. Like they didn't trust us or something. Lol.
3/10, but it's been ages since I played both previous Astrobot games and I haven't even watched the new game trailer but I don't need to, I'm guaranteed to enjoy that game!
@RadioHedgeFund i think most people will disagree with you, I think Timesplitters 2 is loads better than 1. Have you played them recently or going by memory from back in the day? Because I was shocked how primitive TS1 is now when playing it on PS5.
Quidditch - Meh, maybe I'll download and have a go. Maybe.
MLB - Not interested in the slightest.
Little nightmares 2 - i enjoyed the first game, but then sometime after got fed up with a lot of 2.5 games, and played the demo of LN2 and couldn't be bothered. I suppose I'll give it a chance, so this one is the best of a lame selection for me.
@dardel is it a game you'd want to keep? Because otherwise you could buy it for 32, play it, finish it, and then sell it for like 20 maybe on a marketplace? Then potentially it's cost you 12 to play it. Or is there a marketplace online you can buy it for cheaper than 32?
@PaperAlien I on the other hand couldn't get into it. I found the main character's voice unpleasant, although you could put it in Russian which is more authentic. I am actually struggling to remember why else I didn't like it, I think I just didn't enjoy the general combat and stealth.
I once played a demo of alien isolation and I was no good at hiding, and i prefer stealth in non horror games where i can stealth kill. I get why it is this way in Alien Isolation, but as it's leaving soon maybe I should give it a proper chance.
Lol at that person wanting a system where we insert PS2 Timesplitter discs into our PS5 to be able to play the new digital versions, absolutely clueless. Also, I don't recall these games ever being available digitally on a playstation system?
I've never played a sword art online game but i guess I'll try them now..
Thrilled about Timesplitters, I miss those games. Cult of lamb i heard was getting a 2 player couch mode so that's great timing. Witcher 3 i hope i still have my old save file.
@DrVenture69 i decided at one point to just add all new interesting titles to my wishlist so i never had to shift through shovelware in the sales, until I hit that 50 games limit I didn't know about.
Now I remove all games in the filter that are less than £1 which helps somewhat.
I like some metroidvanias, and haven't even heard of this one, but the other two, I am so very tired of Lego games and not interested in FNAF whatsoever. Although, of course, adults can enjoy these two latter titles, I feel it's rather poor to include two games out of three that were made with children in mind.
@ear_wig it's true i did eventually get my Day of the Tentacle - albeit about 5-6 months later than estimated! It really stressed me out, so I'd sooner pay more to be honest from a dealer or if Amazon manage to get any, that's how I got Return to Monkey island on PS5.
Having fond memories of the original game, and being low on funds some time after and selling the game for triple digits, I would really like a limited run copy but as someone with high anxiety and knowing how far behind those guys get.. I'm hoping to pick one up from ebay or Amazon next year or something.
@Mortal Yeah, the survey asks if I'm happy with the games, not if I think they're good games, so I agree.
If I hadn't already played crisis core and remnant 2 I'd be estatic, but I already have and they're the two biggest titles here. But im happy about the other games so it's a fairly content month for me.
@rusty82 I always look sometime after 1pm because it rarely shows up for me in the morning. Before that I just check my wishlist to see if anything is on sale.
@Ichiban They didn't remap the dodge roll move so a lot of people, myself included, were accidentally dodge rolling frequently. If you Google it there's all sorts of Reddits with people complaining about it. Except for that yeah it's fine. But I still welcome this remake. I'll get the physical version though.
I died fighting the goblins at the start. Then i died fighting the next lot of goblins. I didn't like that I couldn't roll out of danger or turn around fast enough to block backstabbing goblins and the guy with me didn't lift a finger the first time I died.
Oh well, thank you Capcom for making me feel more confident this isn't a game for me, I didn't like the first one.
If it ever goes on plus sub in a few years from now I'll try and persist with it, until then, got plenty of other games to play!
(If you're thinking maybe I'm just a terrible gamer, I did finish Ghost of Tshushima on hard difficulty, for what it's worth)
I'm not particularly concerned with level or world counts, they don't really mean anything unless you know how long each level is. But I would have been concerned if the game was only double the size or something of the playroom build.
I loved Astro VR so I know I'm gonna love this game!
I did have Borderlands 3 ages ago but I guess me and my wife can play it, although we got bored with Tiny Tina pretty quickly.
Among us and NHL, meh. I have low expectations for the essential plus games anyway so I can hardly say I feel disappointed. I've been fairly content with the premium subscription however.
@StrickenBiged I think it's the first one on PS4 i played a while back and i think it was, a double flick of the stick made Frank do a roll, so he was frequently rolling when I didn't want him to.
@colonelkilgore did they call it a remaster? I played the PS4 version and the original and it seemed exactly like the original 360 version, just ported to PS4.
@OldGamer999 the resources to spruce up an old game, are nothing compared to making a whole brand new AAA game, that's why so many publishers are doing it. It's also a surefire seller because it's a game proven to sell well, not a brand new ip that comes with risks.
@kailun Strange attitude to have when the website is asking for people's opinions but if someone doesn't like it they shouldn't say anything? Is it not entirely possible that they do buy games and also, for some people, they might have already bought some of the games on the list so it would be a crap selection for them. Or, they are entitled to complain about a product they pay for.
@Kiefer-Sutherland I feel that way too, but I understand that we're essentially playing the whole game but with a time limit attached to it, plus the idea is that you'd buy the game and carry on with your save. It would probably require a lot of work to get the trophies to only pop if you bought the game after using the trial.
I've just put Sly on, and the motion blur hurts my eyes!
Wishlist of PS2 games: Atelier Iris 2 Kya: Dark Lineage Escape from Monkey island Timesplitters 2+3 Colosseum: Road to Freedom Half Life Shadow of Rome Shadow of Memories
I remember falling down towers and having to work all the way back up again and being extremely frustrated with the original, so if they haven't added checkpoints, at least the better controls and camera might reduce my chances of falling off. The impossible lair was a much stronger game, and I say that as someone who loves Lucky Tales and the Spyro trilogy more than side on platform games.
I could never finish it, I always didn't know what to do next so far in, but I loved the game regardless! I had a copy of it years ago but I sold it because I needed the money and it was going for a lot.
@Kraven it is my second favourite beat em up game of all time, first place for me goes to Final Vendetta. Third place? Strangers on the Amiga 1200 CDROM. Yeaaah.
I used to run a videogame shop, and this kid came up to me and asked "excuse me, how do i poo?" And I said "uh well, it just comes naturally!". He looked puzzled, "nooo, i bought dogs life off you last week!"
I liked that game, but the music was incredibly annoying so I'd mute the game on replays and play some music!
@PuppetMaster i sold my PS2 when I had so few games left to justify keeping it, as a lot of them had gotten so rare that I wasn't too bothered about that I kept selling them! The last few included Shadow Hearts 1.
@MadCaptain2207 i loved shadow of memories, i remember unlocking every single ending. Did you know the writer of that game did another game called Time Hollow, but i think it's only on DS.
Ah it's an "indie" sale, even though there were indie games on sale in the other sale but at least they're not added, phew! Including my own game, Trails and Traces.
Is this one of those annoying sales where i I've already painstakingly looked through all the games on sale last week (because I can't just wishlist everything that looks interesting as they come out due to the limit if titles that can be wishlisted) but now they've added more to the same sale and I can't just look at the newly added titles? I'm guessing they expire later so perhaps if i wait for the first lot to expire before looking at the newer sales?
