Capcom has already revealed it's updating Resident Evil Requiem with a new kind of mini game in May, but according to new developer comments, it seems that content patch is right around the corner.
Game director Koshi Nakanishi and producer Masato Kumazawa spoke of the upcoming content in a new Denfaminico Gamer (via VGC) interview, revealing the mini game is a single player add-on and shall focus on the "battles in the main game".
You need to have beaten the campaign to access the mini game, and Kumazawa suggests players have accomplished that by the end of Golden Week, which is a Japanese holiday period that ends on 6th May. "This mini-game is unlocked once you complete the main story. So, if you’re planning to play it, I think clearing the main story during Golden Week will be just the right time," said Kumazawa.

The piece of advice would suggest Capcom plans to release the mini game around this time.
A story-focused expansion for Resident Evil Requiem is also in the works, and Kumazawa confirms during the interview that the DLC has now entered "full production". Very little is known about the add-on besides the fact it delves "deeper into the world of Requiem".
As for next month's new mini game, fans are hoping it's a new Mercenaries mode, given the focus on combat.
