@alienwithin there isn't though. Offhand I can't think of one game that's locked to 30. Like honestly can you name even one? Because I don't know any. None of those games you mention are locked at 30
@alienwithin I have a 4070, played HB2 and went right back to my PS5 afterwards. True 4k is absolutely pointless. And honestly unless you mod your games to hell the difference between console games and PC is very minimal. Forbidden West is still in the top 5 best looking games I've ever played.
@Medic_alert none of that is Sonys or Cernys fault though? It's on developers to utilise what they have. They make the 30 fps games (even though I haven't played a single on that's locked to 30 in the whole generation) is there even any? And loading screens. They're comparable to PCs I don't know what else people expect in that regard
It's not going to be a PS6 title. Let's face it it won't be a day one release as that never happens and the audience would be tiny so that'd mean 2029? I'd guess a late gen game to squeeze every bit of performance out of the PS5 and get high sales.
@Kienda small sample size but there's a poll in a PS5 group I'm in and 89% have a 120hz TV or monitor. Obviously that'll be a skewed a bit but it certainly doesn't go from 89% to 3% of gamers when this is a gamer group. Agreed on the general public won't care so the vast majority still aren't even bothered by 4K nevermind 120hz. But gamers do. Among my gamer friends nearly half have a 120hz screen
@Kienda where's that poll from? I'd be surprised if less than 1% have an LG OLED, its very popular in the PS5 market. Nevermind all the other options available now. Most mid range TVs automatically have it now and even cheap ones do. I mean you can get 120hz monitors (which I use) and 120hz TVs for £300 or so now.
People saying you're dreaming if it can run PS6 titles. Remember you can imagine PSSR will be doing all the work. Giving it'll likely be a 1080p screen. It'll likely be 540p upscaled and look great. That won't take too much power especially if theyre lower settings versions. And remember PS5 titles don't really look much different than PS4, you can imagine it'll be the same story next gen.
It's really not. I've been playing solo with no party. Level 40 odd. I've still yet to hit one. I saw the comments about difficulty and thought ill get a party when I can't progress more. Still hasn't happened.
Sorry but no scalper is losing money. Apart from one 3 hour period on PS direct it never went out of stock. For a full month it was in stock.. any scalper could see that and cancel their order
@IOI the official presentation was absolutely awful and it didn't help they focused on first party gamws which are highly polished. You certainly don't have to zoom in to notice the difference on third party.
@PuppetMaster spot on I don't understand people. It'd be even more as well. The SSD alone is 150 cheaper that it was when developed and that's a beefy GPU upgrade
@Rikyy literally this. Most of the comments are saying it's not worth it. It is. They just don't have a clue of the value of the internals. Don't buy one if you don't want it. Stop gatekeeping others
@LavenderShroud I mean something of the Pro's power would have been $12-1500 in 2020. The regular PS5 was good value at release. Tech always moves on and leave day one consoles lagging
@Bionic-Spencer consoles just can't handle true 4K at 60. By the time they release tech has moved on and they can't keep up with 4K. But tbh...native 4K is the biggest waste of resources in gaming
@JokerBoy322 but like I say it's a bonus. It doesn't affect anything it existing or not existing if you want the 60 fps. I don't see how it's an issue them doing extra work on a new mode. The pro is just meant to give us better options and full PS5 visuals at 60 not less options . Having only one mode on the Pro and 2 on the regular PS5 does the opposite
@Fishnpeas and no games? I mean I've played probably 25 that are console exclusives. I've played 3 in the last month or so alone. It isn't amazing but people forget how barren PS4 was for first party exclusives. It was year 5 it all started picking up
@Fishnpeas i mean it's astrobot they're going to be similar. Spiderman 2 is like spiderman 1. GOW ragnarok is like GOW. Sequels are generally always similar. Don't change what's broken, Astro Bot is outstanding.
@JokerBoy322 but it does. It's literally original PS5 fidelity mode at 60 fps. Its exactly the best of both worlds. They've done added work to include an extra mode as a bonus, they didn't have to. I don't see how people complain at that.
@PsBoxSwitchOwner but a £700 PC doesn't do it better. They aren't exactly making money on the console so how are they ripping people off? People fail to see how much the components in this thing cost, sure they could have made it cheaper but then it woud have hardly been an upgrade. It's an optional upgrade you don't need to buy it so you aren't ripped off.

Re: Feature: The 10 Best Games on PS5 Pro, as Voted By You
@Kienda you're right there. I PC game too and native 4K is pointless. I game in 1440, my screen is actually 1440 for console and PC.

Re: Elden Ring: Nightreign Announced, a Co-Op Game for PS5, PS4
@TruestoryYep if it releases. 2025 is probably very unlikely. And MH has no hope
Re: Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii Has a Smorgasbord of Silly Side Activities
Bring it on. The more side stuff the better

Re: Elden Ring DLC Not Eligible for BAFTA's Best Game Award
@GloriosaDaisy but yet the chances are it'll win the proper GOTY award. Don't agree personally but it'll likely happen
Re: Geralt Actor 'Slapped by CD Projekt', Walks Back The Witcher 4 Comments
@JohntheRaptor I mean they did spend u years on CP. Witcher 3 was the first massive success...they were never going to end it there after that.
Re: Video: 10 Games You Need to Play on PS5 Pro
@Frmknst I mean it is? FF Rebirth looks like a next gen game compared to the base version. It's a bigger jump than the PS4 to PS5 version of Remake.

Re: Outstanding PS2 RPG Dragon Quest 8 Is Now 20 Years Old
Played it using citra on PC with 4K textures and resolution on laptop recently. Still a masterpiece
Re: Dragon Age: The Veilguard Patch 3 Out Now, BioWare Promises Another Update 'Soon'
Great game. Writing isn't even that bad I've played far worse.
Re: The Callisto Protocol Haunts in 8K with Huge PS5 Pro Patch
People are talking like 8K TVs are expensive. They're under £1000. My OLED was that expensive. (Still think 8K is pointless though)
Re: Dragon Quest 3 HD-2D Remake's Brutal Difficulty Spikes Are Shocking New Players
It's really not. I've been playing solo with no party. Level 40 odd. I've still yet to hit one. I saw the comments about difficulty and thought ill get a party when I can't progress more. Still hasn't happened.
Re: UK Retailers Are All Discounting the PS5 Pro Already
People are failing to notice this isn't a Sony discount. It's Black Friday and they're competiting with each other. It's their profit margin.
Re: UK Retailers Are All Discounting the PS5 Pro Already
@Neither_scene PS4 Pro was the same
Re: Japan Sales Charts: PS5 Pro Gets Stronger Start Than PS4 Pro Despite Being Twice the Price
@DonJorginho spot on. People expecting a £800 PS6 are in fantasy land. It'll be 499 with no drive
Re: PS5 Pro Pre-Orders Are Stronger Than PS4 Pro, But Scalpers Are Losing Money
Sorry but no scalper is losing money. Apart from one 3 hour period on PS direct it never went out of stock. For a full month it was in stock.. any scalper could see that and cancel their order
Re: In the UK, You Can't Buy a PS5 Pro Disc Drive without Paying a Premium
Should have picked one up then. They were still available days after the Pro announcement
Re: PS5 Pro Makes Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth Look Like a Whole New Game
@GASEOUS I mean you aren't getting both looking better and more frames at a lower price 😂 my PC certainly couldn't and it was more
Re: PS5 Pro Makes Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth Look Like a Whole New Game
@GASEOUS I mean probably not tbh. You'll just get a higher frame rate and wait another year for it
Re: PS5 Pro vs PS5: Full Tech Specs Comparison
@Romans12 video? You'd have to pretty special to expect 8k games on a £359 console when PCs 5x as expensive can't do it
Re: PS5 Pro vs PS5: Full Tech Specs Comparison
@KundaliniRising333 those 17TF are more capable that 35TF in different architecture. It doesn't tell the full story
Re: PS5 Pro vs PS5: Full Tech Specs Comparison
@IOI the official presentation was absolutely awful and it didn't help they focused on first party gamws which are highly polished. You certainly don't have to zoom in to notice the difference on third party.
Re: PS5 Pro vs PS5: Full Tech Specs Comparison
@Romans12 never said 8K games though
Re: Gaze in Awe at Official PS5 Pro Enhanced Label, Gracing Physical Game Boxes Soon
@OldGamer999 thankfully I realised it was obvious the Pro would use the same drive and managed to pick one up after the announcement.

@Robinsad that's what the disc drive is for
Re: Gaze in Awe at Official PS5 Pro Enhanced Label, Gracing Physical Game Boxes Soon
@OldGamer999 glad I cancelled mine the other day then after I got a better deal on it. I'd have been fuming if I'd bought it twice accidentally 🤣
Re: Gaze in Awe at Official PS5 Pro Enhanced Label, Gracing Physical Game Boxes Soon
@Czar_Khastik of course it's being worked on. We won't see it for 4 years though
Re: Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered (PS5) - A Sublime Remaster of a Modern PlayStation Classic
Trophies don't transfer and you're marking down the score for it? That's literally a benefit 😂

I wasn't impressed originally but wow overall ive changed that opinion. For anyone who says it looks the same book the opticians
Re: Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii Significantly Longer Than Kiryu's Recent Spin-Off
Suits me. Bring on all the 'yakuza' you can pump out. I never tire of them
Re: Black Ops 6 Another Call of Duty with No PS5 Platinum Trophy
And people wonder why they call them DLCs 😂 literally costing them sales.
Re: PS5 Pro's Proprietary Upscaler PSSR Is Looking Very Promising
@Carck I have both, but my monitor is on a bracket next to my sofa. I have the PS5 for exclusives and cheaper games
Re: PS5 Pro's Proprietary Upscaler PSSR Is Looking Very Promising
@silversteel91 isn't exactly sucking the fans dry when they aren't making any money on it. And it actually does do 8K/60 even though 8K is pointless.
Re: PS5 Pro's Proprietary Upscaler PSSR Is Looking Very Promising
@Carck can tell in one second by looking at the character model. I play on a monitor maybe it's different. Performance mode was muddy as hell
Re: PS5 Pro's Proprietary Upscaler PSSR Is Looking Very Promising
@OldGamer999 I could spot it instantly from the textures, grass and models.
Re: PS5 Pro's Proprietary Upscaler PSSR Is Looking Very Promising
@Carck that's just to emphasise it. When you look at what it's done to FF7 Rebirth you can spot the difference instantly
