@ATaco I have both personally. So many more games on Plus and it's far cheaper. Both have their advantages

Really wish they'd do a considerable update. Yet again the races are short. Only take 20 mins then you're back at 100% complete.

They tried that with the Series X that's why it had the tagline the world's most powerful console and what happened? It did worse than the Xbox one. Gamers care about the games that's what sells a product.

@Oram77 nah I meant that by as it it's years off 😂 and tbh they probably knew it wouldnt be able to run on PS4 (unless they half assed the game) releasing it 4 years after next gen starts there'd just as many players on PS5 as there is on 4 so it was probably worth it.

@Oram77 they won't, most of it is done and PS6 is still a pipedream. They ain't scrapping it all to then release on a new system that hardly anyone has right away. Tail end PS5 to 100m users would have always been the goal

Did anyone even think this. The vast majority of the work is already done so they weren't gonna scrap that and start on PS6. It'll probably be out a year before that even releases. My guess is it'll be like Remake and have a next gen version later on.

@tameshiyaku as it should be. These games have more content than 99% of games.

They need to make it more like golf games used to be with progression. I miss unlocking all the special balls and clubs to hit monster shots and stat points. And all the fantasy courses from all the old TW games.

It'll be a sad day once it stops. Going from paying £0-£10 for a day one game overall to £50-70. Support it whilst it's here

@thefourfoldroot1 yup both judgements did annoyingly. But I'm a physical gamer and sell once done so I had to power through it to sell 🙃 because 0 was given free its always been there so no rush I guess

@thefourfoldroot1 I even have that one too. But weirdly I haven't finished 0. Simple because I hate playing games twice for a platinum. Went through the hell of the climax battles and haven't been bothered to play it again in hard mode yet

Will be an unpopular opinion but I love when they require 100% for the platinum on 'yakuza' games. Kinda missed they stopped that recently. It's a slog but it feels such an achievement when done. I enjoy the yearly hell of Mahjong 🤣. I'd probably never make this comment about any other series. SO much prefer that to making play twice

@JohntheRaptor for you? Maybe not. For me I can call whatever I like a masterpiece. It was my masterpiece of 2024. It was literally perfect.

Just can't rate metaphor #1. It was a step down from Persona 5 and didn't really do anything different. Not that it should rely on graphics but it's no better graphically than P5 on the PS3 either. Rebirth was a masterpiece and so well crafted it's my #1 this year. Infinite Wealth 2nd and metaphor 3rd.

Edit - completely forgot about Dragon Quest 3. That's 3rd

@alienwithin there isn't though. Offhand I can't think of one game that's locked to 30. Like honestly can you name even one? Because I don't know any. None of those games you mention are locked at 30

@alienwithin I have a 4070, played HB2 and went right back to my PS5 afterwards. True 4k is absolutely pointless. And honestly unless you mod your games to hell the difference between console games and PC is very minimal. Forbidden West is still in the top 5 best looking games I've ever played.

@Medic_alert none of that is Sonys or Cernys fault though? It's on developers to utilise what they have. They make the 30 fps games (even though I haven't played a single on that's locked to 30 in the whole generation) is there even any? And loading screens. They're comparable to PCs I don't know what else people expect in that regard

@Kienda you're right there. I PC game too and native 4K is pointless. I game in 1440, my screen is actually 1440 for console and PC.

It's not going to be a PS6 title. Let's face it it won't be a day one release as that never happens and the audience would be tiny so that'd mean 2029? I'd guess a late gen game to squeeze every bit of performance out of the PS5 and get high sales.

@Kienda small sample size but there's a poll in a PS5 group I'm in and 89% have a 120hz TV or monitor. Obviously that'll be a skewed a bit but it certainly doesn't go from 89% to 3% of gamers when this is a gamer group. Agreed on the general public won't care so the vast majority still aren't even bothered by 4K nevermind 120hz. But gamers do. Among my gamer friends nearly half have a 120hz screen

@Kienda where's that poll from? I'd be surprised if less than 1% have an LG OLED, its very popular in the PS5 market. Nevermind all the other options available now. Most mid range TVs automatically have it now and even cheap ones do. I mean you can get 120hz monitors (which I use) and 120hz TVs for £300 or so now.

@JohntheRaptor I mean they did spend u years on CP. Witcher 3 was the first massive success...they were never going to end it there after that.

@Frmknst I mean it is? FF Rebirth looks like a next gen game compared to the base version. It's a bigger jump than the PS4 to PS5 version of Remake.

People saying you're dreaming if it can run PS6 titles. Remember you can imagine PSSR will be doing all the work. Giving it'll likely be a 1080p screen. It'll likely be 540p upscaled and look great. That won't take too much power especially if theyre lower settings versions. And remember PS5 titles don't really look much different than PS4, you can imagine it'll be the same story next gen.

Played it using citra on PC with 4K textures and resolution on laptop recently. Still a masterpiece

Great game. Writing isn't even that bad I've played far worse.

People are talking like 8K TVs are expensive. They're under £1000. My OLED was that expensive. (Still think 8K is pointless though)

It's really not. I've been playing solo with no party. Level 40 odd. I've still yet to hit one. I saw the comments about difficulty and thought ill get a party when I can't progress more. Still hasn't happened.

People are failing to notice this isn't a Sony discount. It's Black Friday and they're competiting with each other. It's their profit margin.

Sorry but no scalper is losing money. Apart from one 3 hour period on PS direct it never went out of stock. For a full month it was in stock.. any scalper could see that and cancel their order

Should have picked one up then. They were still available days after the Pro announcement

@KundaliniRising333 those 17TF are more capable that 35TF in different architecture. It doesn't tell the full story

@IOI the official presentation was absolutely awful and it didn't help they focused on first party gamws which are highly polished. You certainly don't have to zoom in to notice the difference on third party.

@PuppetMaster spot on I don't understand people. It'd be even more as well. The SSD alone is 150 cheaper that it was when developed and that's a beefy GPU upgrade

@LavenderShroud I mean something of the Pro's power would have been $12-1500 in 2020. The regular PS5 was good value at release. Tech always moves on and leave day one consoles lagging

@Bionic-Spencer consoles just can't handle true 4K at 60. By the time they release tech has moved on and they can't keep up with 4K. But tbh...native 4K is the biggest waste of resources in gaming
