Not sure why theres the complaints about the length (well maybe digital players) 13 hours probably means a 25-30 hour platinum and you'll get practically all of your money back for selling it afterwards depending on your gaming time. We dont need game lengths bloated for the sake of it. This period is absolutely stacked for me I welcome a shorter game

Shame for no Pro support. Its so cheap its basically a free game though for physical owners. I'll likely even make money on it

@BAMozzy 350m a month is excessive to me. Obviously the people paying £3 a month is balanced by some paying £15. But most people shop about. Can easily find 12 month codes for £60 with a simple Google. You're forgetting millions are on the gamepass core too for £40 a year too. Which are included in the numbers (and thats why they said subs have gone up when they haven't really because they added those millions to the GP sub total recently). With the gold conversion, MS rewards, GP Core and 12 month 1/3rd of the price codes all being in the number I'd be surprised if it's half that 350m number.

@BAMozzy have to remember that many dont pay that much a month too. Mine was £100 for 3 years with the gold upgrade trick and lots get it free every month with MS rewards

@AccessibleDaydream because its not on Sony, they just advertise the capabilities of the console, it's on developers to make 8K games then the PS5 would have them. But developers realised how absolutely pointless 8K is

Enjoying it so far. Having to 100% the solo tours with all 35 skaters for a trophy is one if the stupidest decisions I've seen though. As if the level 100 trophy wasnt bad enough in the first remake. They made it twice as bad.

Just end the Beta on the portal and open it up to the PS plus library. The Premium service would be so good then. Better yet, make games you've purchased be able to stream. But thats a dream.

In fairness that's a bit of a drop from the first remake. But there isnt many reviews in I guess. Cant argue for the £30 I got it for really though

@Kain40 its 2025. Why on earth would i want to struggle playing a game because it runs in 30 fps and feels horrendous to play? When graphically there's zero reason for it? If you do that you categorically don't deserve sales because it will alienate a hell of a lot of players? They chose to shoot themselves in the feet with that ridiculous decisoon but yet its not like that on PC? We dont spend money on new consoles for that, they may as well have released it on PS4

Music to my ears, I did all the get theres and never bothered with level 100 as it was ridiculous. But finishing with all skaters on this looks like it will be a massive grind and very boring. Whys that a trophy? Stupid

@Oprahs_cellulite and you can get a 4k/120 monitor for like 300 now, doesnt have to break the bank. Even TVs are under 500

@Oprahs_cellulite I actually dropped the a 1440 OLED monitor from a 4K IPS for my Pro and the games look absolutely miles better. 4K is such a waste of resources on a smaller screen.

@DaveTheRave sadly I don't expect 60 at all. GTA 6 will be CPU based and no amount of upscaling will change that

As much as I thought it'd be fun I'm still not interested if its only 30 fps. That's absolutely nuts on a game that looks like it could run on a PS3. Especially as they bothered to change that for the PC version

It'll launch 2028 it's practically obvious. Especially with the time they'll need to make a substational power increase over the Pro or it'd be a 4 figure console. They aren't on Xbox's timeline any more. They'll jump the gun late 2026 or early 2027. The PS6 will also be cheaper than the Pro.

@Dalamar games were still coming out for PS3 at this point in the timeline last gen. Happens every time. And the Pro is just an optional console not required to play one game so the price point doesnt matter.

I really don't care about the use of AI if it makes games release miles quickly and still "looks' as if it was made by a person. But you'd think the use of AI textures would make it look great. Why does it look so poor? And yes I'm aware that EG games are about the gameplay, I've played every single one in the series. Just making excuses for them cheapening out on things, especially as it's been 8 years and the game looks a downgrade. Cartoony games can still look fantastic too if effort is put in. Astrobot for example.

@somnambulance and this game is absolutely a fresh take on the turn based genre. It's even converted people who don't like turn based games so I see both sides.

@YoureTooSlowBro I mean maybe? Its genuinely in the top 5 RPGs I've ever played. I can see why the scores are so high. The greatest ever is a push though. And nah they aren't from a day after the game came out. A day after release it was sat at 9.7 from 1000 reviews. Its still sat at 9.7 2 months later from nearly 17,000 reviews.

@Jrs1 like said its a downgrade from the last game in 2017. Sure its cartoony, but it could at least look like a PS3 couldn't run it and look like they put at least a tiny bit of effort into the actual look of it, because that's the first thing you see. Astrobot is cartoony and look at that game

They only needed to look at their own game, Dragon Quest 11 that'll hit 10 million. Turn based and a lesser name than Final Fantasy.

Don't care personally. I'm more concerned about the fact it looks worse graphically than the Everybodys Golf game released 8 years ago. It looks like a PS3 game. What are they doing?

@Outlawed_Samurai @SBBuds yup its printing money. Very inexpensive to remaster and even that 100k figure is very conservative. Over 74 million sales. Even 5% of them getting a remaster is 3.7 million. Id bet that number would dip in after 7 years. And thats without those who would buy the likely $50 version who don't own the original game.

Well thats my interest gone. Haven't played one game at 30 fps on my PS5 and don't intend to start with a game that graphically looks like a PS3 game. And for anyone who says its turn based you don't need it. You're still in a map with camera movement and panning it at 30 fps feels awful. And don't make excuses for them. It's 2025, a game looking like that's should be 120 fps nevermind 60.

@MrPeanutbutterz oh im not doubting a downgrade. Id say next to no chance it's looking like that at 60 fps on a base PS5. Maybe on a pro. But it won't be unplayable like CP was

@MrPeanutbutterz think theyve modre than made up for that. They won't make that mistake again it cost them a fortune. Remember there's no last gen system crippling it this time. If they're saying its running at 60 with RT on on a base PS5 I have zero worries

4 years and not even a screenshot and they said theyre changing up the turn based combat which would be a huge mistake. Hopefully the success of turn based games over the last couple years stopped that idea

@Dalamar couldn't disagree more and I'm a FF purist 😂 Rebirth is outstanding. And the original game is still there anyway. Doesn't affect your enjoyment of 9 if they release it. Just don't play it. Let those of us who want it have it

I'll die on the hill it is tbh. You shouldn't be buying at full price. Buy 25% off for the year. Under £8 a month for 1000+ games. Its great value to me. And the added bonus of hundreds of games on my portal too. (And all of them when its out of beta) Now PS essential. That's terrible value. I have gamepass too, the quality on PS is miles better, just don't have the day one games advantage (but it's also twice as expensive)
