@AdamNovice we let stuff slide back then though as it was all we were used to. Now console players have tasted 120 fps and 60 fps in 99% of the games they don't always want to go back 😂 don't blame them tbh. I'd never do what this article says for a few extra fps. But it shows how broken it is in the first place that people are resorting to this.

@Enigk some only have one TV. It isn't really meant for the single guy living alone unless they're lucky enough to play at work

@Korgon there isn't anything wrong with it, its just a bit blurry. Perfectly playable. DD2 is tanking $3000 PCs. Now that's a game that has serious issues.

@jt887 and that's the issue. Baffles me why they use these engines that for one, don't make the game look any better, and two, even great PCs are struggling to get great performance. Hopefully by the time the Pro is out there is some decent optimisation cause I ain't playing at 30

Very smooth and 30 fps don't go together. This is absolutely a PS5 pro game for me. This much be an awful engine to be stuck at 30 fps with those visuals

@pirlega thing is you're saying what will we play besides PS4 games. A guy goes on to list a bunch of games and you because say you're not interested in them. 3 of them will be among the best games of this year, one will win GOTY. They literally are killer applications. FF7 and Dragon Dogma 2 are the most anticipated games this year. Just because you aren't interested in them. Doesn't mean they don't exist to play. That's 'what we will play besides PS4 games'. You don't seem much of a gamer.

Really don't get the comments here. If you have a base PS5 and think its pointless, great! A pro existing literally doesn't affect your experience. It's for an enthusiast gamer and someone who's had their console 4 years and would welcome playing their games better.

@Nakatomi_Uk PS4 is more like 4 years. They aren't releasing next gen in 2026. And you say PS4 having a massive following and people not bothering to buy a PS5, it's selling pretty much exactly what PS4 did in the same time frame, and that's with all the covid issued.

@Porco I agree with you on the game side and the lack of them but PS5 seems to be struggling more on current gen games than PS4 did and people are noticing. I have a day one PS5 and I'd certainly welcome an upgrade. Especially as its looks to be quite a hefty upgrade. GTA 6 will help with the sales of it. Really can't see people waiting a game like that at 30 fps.

PS5 will smash 100 million imo. The sales of PS4 and PS5 are pretty much identical after 3 years and PS5 hasn't had an official price cut (in fact it went up). And yet its still tracking with PS4. PS4s first price cut was after 2 years. It then got another price cut after 3 years. PS5 has yet to get those and it's still selling what the PS4 did. Which given you said about cost of living, that shouldn't happen.

@Porco how do you figure it'll drop? A lot of people I've noticed have waited that long for a PS5 to actually be available they're activitely waiting for the pro model. If the PS4 pro sold 15m. How is a PS5 pro, of which the original is selling more than the PS4 did, only selling 10

@pirlega I mean we play games... isn't that your fault if you haven't played a PS5 exclusive? I've played like 12 that are only on PS5 console wise.

@B0udoir PS5 isn't sold at a loss. It hasn't since 2021. I mean I'm a customer and I want one. Nothing wrong with wanting higher frame rates or resolution. PS5 has hit the limit of what it came do.

@BAMozzy 499 at an absolute max. You can already get a PS5 at under 400. It'll be 299 come end of this year

@nocdaes I mean it's widely praised so it seems like it's a good implementation and I'm not sure about the generational thing, I've been playing FF since the 90s and this is probably my favorite card game system.

@nocdaes does it really matter? In the other card games you just reloaded if you lost anyway as you didn't want to lose rare cards. This stops all that nonsense. And it's the actual game why it's acclaimed. Which it should be. And I'm glad you can't find cards in the wild. It's much better for them to be given as quest rewards. Stops having to Google in case you missed one in a chest. I do agree there should be more opponents though but just seems like you're complaining for the sake of it. They could have half asked thr game but it's the most in depth card game in a FF by far

More PS4 games thrown in the classics collection so they don't have to bother adding more PS1/PS2

I love this game. I wish there were more opponents. Probably the best FF card game imo

Dear me the comments here rating it down because of minigames. The minigames you can skip or spend 1 minute out of 80 hours doing. Amazing

@nocdaes did it compared to rebirth? You're knocking them for actually adding stuff. I do agree with some of your points but some just seem to be complaining about minor things. The bird is odd directing you but is it really an issue. And the chocobo thing just seems like a fun addition following the baby to help him. Agree on Chadley though he is annoying. Overall I can't complain though, barring the minor niggles its everything I'd want out of a remake of this game. Every location is rendered beautiful and expanded hugely. Rather that than some rushed cash grab. It's a strong favourite for game of the year so there wasn't much more than could have done

@nocdaes I agree there could be more in Kalm. But I'm seeing complaints there's too much in the game as it is. So those whiners are just gonna complain more. And I mean you just complained kalm has nothing to do then complained they sent you back there 😂 I mean it wasnt 20 mins for me I spent several hours in the grasslands. I won't argue FF7 isn't one of the best games...but what was in that game? It was bare bones for the most part. You were in each location for no time at all as there was nothing to do besides the story. Now every location is massive, and most have a lot of things to do. The game is outstanding as a whole and is pretty much the highest rated of the series so I think your botch job opinion is yours and yours alone. What else could they have done to make it even better? More things to do? Its chockablock with stuff to do. A 1 to 1 remake of the original? Then there's nothing to do. They can't win.

I'm baffled at the comments that FF16 is a better game. It was only a FF game in name nothing else and a 'decent' action game. Rebirth is outstanding, it's everything a Final Fantasy game should be. It's a shame it's not performing as well as it should

It baffles me this is struggling to hit 30 fps. They must be some of the least talented developers graphics wise. It looks like an early PS4 game...how isn't it rock solid 60

@nocdaes doesn't look like they've dropped the ball to me. Best rated FF this century and one of the highest user scores I've ever seen. The side stuff is optional.

@Porco RDR2 isn't that big tbh but I get your point. It's probably more the size of the thing as a whole. Each location within the world is huge.

You're better off using the 30 fps cap than that. This is a PS5 pro game for me and hopefully will hit 60. Cant play these big worlds in 30 any more. There's so much out anyways.

Its not even that bad tbh. It just has some bad textures. But flicking between graphics mode and performance the textures often don't even change. When I'm in full flow playing I don't even notice. Only when still

@Porco doubt it with those massive maps. It's even rough on the PS5 and it's graphically downgraded from Remake. I mean they didn't even release Intergrade which you'd imagine they'd want the sales of and I'm sure the PS4 could have ran that

@Steel76 it didn't. Mine certainly didn't. Apart from the summon fights FFXVI wasn't as good looking a game as this. Even FFXV was better looking than FFXVI in some instances

@BusyOlf physical is always lower. Mine was £52 but I've seen it at £48.

@savarunl agreed. People must be playing on 70 inch TVs or something. Barring a few low res textures it looks stunning on my monitor

@Rangers420 that's the way.it's seen these days. People say starfield flopped and it scored over 8. Days Gone was panned, scored 7.

@LiamOliver but this wouldn't affect the PS6 so let people have something better for now if they want it, lots will be 4 years and want an upgrade. 7-8 years is a long ass time. And 4K/120 with RT is a pipedream tbh for the PS6 . Even the most powerful PCs now are still struggling with even 4K/60 with RT. And the PS6 won't be any more powerful than those are.

@thiagoauler there's plenty of reasons. The second we.started to see games coming out that could only be at 30 fps there's a need for one.

@guardianoftime @guardianoftime doing that at 60 fps. This doesn't affect games coming out so I don't know why people wouldn't want better equipment. If you don't buy it it doesn't affect you at all

People need to stop putting so much weight on 4K because it's diminishing returns compared to other things. FF16 hit below 1080p at some points and that game was stunning. Just give me a locked 60 and more details on screen or RT options. And turn some already locked 60s into an uncapped to 120. I'll take that every day of the week than trying to push a 4K image which unless it was side by side I couldn't tell the difference in a moving game.

@LiamOliver sub 60 fps experiences are happening more and more. FF16 struggled like he'll, FF7 rebirth is too and the next GTA is practically guaranteed to be at 30 and I don't know about anyone else but I don't want to be playing that at 30.

@somnambulance FFXV was fantastic imo (royal edition) but it actually felt like a FF game. 16 just felt like a decent action RPG with FF name slapped on it. So many series staples are missing. But they're all back for rebirth
