@OldGamer999 not that im disagreeing with the prices beibg high but pro was £350 not 300 and in fairness that's nearly 500 in today's money. We don't know the price of the new pro but 500 to 600 is quite a way off double and it could easily be cheaper than 600 yet

@nomither6 in fairness I don't think you do. Unless you're running a 4K screen of course. I actually downgraded from a 4K to a 1440p and I can max every game out so far

£560 and £650 for me if there's 2 versions. If one, £549 digital.

@nomither6 yeah CPU will be ancient compared. That'll limit it. But much better to put the money in the GPU I guess. 4070 is upper limit, didn't want to say 4060 cause it'll be more than that. Maybe 7800xt

@nomither6 I mean I don't know your PC but I have a 4070 and I except it to be very close to that

@Waitinonpsvr2 People thought the same for the PS4 Pro. Sold out instantly. And the power is close to maxing. Because games aren't hitting 60 fps. Given the power of it and the rumoured price, they're losing money on units. Won't be dropped for a long time.

Just hope there is 2 different versions. Making it digital only would be the dumbest thing ever, because you won't be able to get hold of the disc drives. Then that'll stop people buying it.

@nomither6 it'll be better than 90-95% of people's PCs. Really isn't that substandard. It'll be equivalent to a mid to high level gaming PC, which for a console is pretty good

@StylesT of course they will. Some games are dropping to 720. When that's bumped up to 1440 or higher it's a huge difference

@Jacko11 literally no idea where you're getting that. It's the opposite. If live service games are runaway successes they'll just make more of them instead. Concord failing and Wukong being a monster success is the best thing that's happened for Story games in ages.

No matter what you think of it, it's the only offline FF not playable on a new PlayStation and that's not right

@rjejr GTA V sold over 10 million day one and the hype for this one is way higher. 20m day one wouldn't surprise me in the slightest. It'd the most hyped game released in history

@trev666 perhaps but skip it. You didn't have to play one card game in the whole game to progress

@WaveBoy as do I. 4K doesn't interest me as much any more. I've just switched from a 4K monitor to a 1440 OLED and it looks far better. But I'd love more 120hz support

@Coffeeglitch yup absolutely. PS4 Pro was supported pretty well. But even if they don't bother adding a specialist mode on some games, if the performance is choppy it'll smooth that out without any dev input

Keep them coming. I don't think I'll ever burn out of this series. Gotta say whilst I did still love the newest one. Hawaii didn't have the charm of Japan

For anyone that is saying it doesn't need to exist, games aren't maxed out. They literally are. That's why we are dropping more and more frequently under 30 fps. Potentially tripling the graphics power ensures that won't happen for 95% of games. And the PSSR sounds like a revelation. Just because you don't want one, doesn't mean the rest of us who have had their console 4 years don't. For the sake of a couple hundred quid upgrade

Days gone was awesome. Never in any way a 6. The hoards were amazing. Issue was it was a bit rough on release and the reviews reflected that. Fully believe if it was reviewed now it'd score 80+

@nomither6 they'll always be relevant because of the value. Until PCs can be bought for 400 that overpower them, there will always be a market. Plus a lot of people aren't as technically minded and just wanted a simple plug and play, and owning a gaming laptop myself they're rarely just plug and play.

@nomither6 massively cost saving for me, thats why i still game on PS5, and I own a good laptop

Don't see the issue myself. If it was day one sure. It literally benefits us as it means sequels are more likely. Don't affect you in slightest if a game comes out in PC. It'll be 4 years for the PC port of Ragnarok. Is it that big of a deal?

Just get the ps plus streaming on it like is possible

@NEStalgia gameplay is outstanding imo. You could skin this is any game and it'd have got the same reviews. I dunno why people call it milking, 12 years of full development is expensive. Given the sales aren't what's expected I doubt its made much

@Bentleyma probably not tbh. It's been in development a while, and UE5 is power hungry. And it'll release on PS5 which rebirrh is already struggling on

@belmont brawler is simple if you pause. Just need to learn which animation is which putting. The sit ups were a nightmare. They're by far the hardest minigame in the game for me

30 fps needs to die. And for anyone who says you can't tell the difference. Pan the camera, once. If you can't tell that one feels like it's juddering and moving through tar you have issues 😂 I wouldn't mind but the 30 fps games don't look any better, in fact they look worse - look at dragons dogma. Forbidden West is still the best looking game I've played and I was getting up to 100 fps. No excuses

@belmont they do tbf, a lot of them are easier on easy difficulty. The only way they're difficult is the hard versions of them and that's only if you want the platinum. And with the brutal and legendary combat sims the minigames are the least of the worries.

Keep them coming. I'll never tire of this franchise. Just hopefully only 1 playthrough for the platinum this time 🤣

Seems like this game is just a painful experience at times. Baffles me why they make these CPU heavy games. They don't look any better, in fact they look worse and they run awfully.

@UnlimitedSevens yeah spot on tbh. Last of us and Uncharted 4 are mine too on those 2 systems. I will say Plague Tale Requiem my jaw did drop a bit though. That's the best looking game I've ever seen in person. Isn't quite the PS3 to PS4 jump though

@OldGamer999 you're right they do, but naughty dog etc do the work. Sony can't just suddenly stop production because they're not putting effort in. Especially the companies that aren't actually involved with Sony

@OldGamer999 one doesn't affect the other though. It isn't Sonys fault every developer is having poor output. They make the consoles not the games.

@MikeOrator tbf GTA 6 will more than likely be 30 on the Pro as well according to DF. 40 fps mode is the best option hopefully there's at least that

50% interested in it. That's far more than I expected there to be tbh

Hopefully like plague tale this has a 60 fps mode down the line. Surely with some tweaks and the extra power of the pro it must be possible (yes I know its CPU limited)

Pro version for me. It probably won't change the frame rate too much but in 6 months it'll be pretty polished and you'll likely be able to play at a higher resolution. Or hopefully a locked 40 fps mode is implemented by then

@Enigk see then it'd be useful. I'd happily play on the couch with one if others were using the TV. It's still a great experience
