I don't mind the stick placement but it's nice it'll never get stick drift

I hate digital gaming with a passion but this is one of only 2 games I've bought day one because of the effort that's gone into it (the other is out soon)

@Serialsid I have unlimited and unless I'm in an isolated area it works well. I guess it will be great in Japan

@Serialsid you can even share your mobile connection so anywhere basically. Especially somewhere like Japan with great Internet

@lightningbolt79 they don't need WiFi. How don't people still know you can use a mobile connection

@lightningbolt79 ease of use and dont need your phone tied up. Also that isn't handheld at all. Can certainly see why it's doing well in Japan as they all play on their commutes Apparently the remote play works better too as its a Sony programmed device and not a one size fits all like a phone or tablet.

Can't wait for this. I miss the smaller AC titles and the perfect length whilst waiting for Spiderman. Managed to get it for £25 too

@Cashews PS5 only ones maybe, but you could say that about any genre. If we're talking PS4 releases too, there's hundreds

@Juanalf it does, on gamepass. Difference between Altus taking sone money off MS to stick it on GP to Square Enix having to develop a whole new version so it'll run on series S for 5% of sales

@MikeOrator same I always buy physical, barely pay anything for gaming that way. I'll be getting it digital if I have to though

@dustinprewitt it was never planned to be on the PS4, nevermind cancelled. Baffles me people think a series that started on a console with 2011 specs would end on that console when the last part probably won't be out until 2028. The HDD would absolutely kill the scope of the game, we wouldn't even get a world map.

Really don't see why people are saying coming to Xbox in 3 months. It's PC. I can't see this game ever making it to XB. Their gamers don't really care about JRPGS. And I very much doubt SE want to have to make a whole new watered down version for the Series S for a minimal amount of sales

It's still amazing value considering what they've added since launch (even this week a £30 very good day one game to the service). But the price rise in the US is certainly a bit naughty. Are people really paying full price for this though? Surely you buy on the frequent sales days. My premium was £60

@DennisReynolds you're right, it still won't be widespread but thankfully that's a good thing. At 1440 the frame rate can be much higher rather than dropping it for 4K which is diminishing returns. Rather focus on and see more RT too.

@Sil_Am no it won't 😂 as long as people can still get COD on a Sony console they'll be staying. And no ones switching for Starfield. Especially when it can be played through the cloud service so you don't even have to buy the console.

@djlard same tbh, ive probably completed FF7 10 times, that's why no matter what it was like I was totally excited to see each scene and how the graphics were remade and would push through. I'm a massive turn based/ATB fan, I'd agree it would have absolutely worked like that. I'm just glad I enjoyed the new system too

@Mauzuri on what basis is MS doing a hell of a lot better though? They still don't have games, gamepass is still most likely losing money, and PS plus in the last 6 months has gotten massively better and their console sales are shocking

Nothing much. What will they miss really? COD is a huge one but that's not for 10 years, and who knows if it'll stop even then. Crash? Great series but one new game in years and Rumble was a disaster. Most of the other IPs haven't seen a release in a very long time

@djlard I guess everyone's allowed an opinion but that's like half an hour of a 30 hour game, barely any battle features are unlocked, not even summons. If you're a fan of FF7 giving it half an hour to see at the very least how they remade all the locations ain't much.

And the auto battle isn't like you think, they don't use abilities when you're not controlling. It actively rewards you for switching party members and keeps you involved and you could always pick a different battle mode
