Re: 'This Is Finally Living Up to Its Promise': PS5 Pro Owners Thrilled with PSSR 2 Upgrade

Andy22385

@Whately86 cost me 300 to upgrade to the Pro for higher frame rates and a better quality image and my Pro will sell for a couple hundred more on next gen release. 4 years better gaming for practically nothing. Go troll on the PC boards who buy a new graphics card. And wow. Like 1% of the games run worse and that was ENTIRELY developer inputs fault, not the console. It wasn't marketed to do what the base was at all. You can have an opinion but that massive rant out of nowhere at Sony and everyone who bought one just makes you look bitter and jealous.

Re: 'This Is Finally Living Up to Its Promise': PS5 Pro Owners Thrilled with PSSR 2 Upgrade

Andy22385

@Porco people are just enjoying their purchase and want to talk about it. And the sales definitely aren't bad. It's sold more than PS4 Pro did in the same time, at twice the cost and it seems to be flying off the shelves in the PS5 groups I'm in after the PSSR 2 news. PS6 won't be out next year, even 2028 is a push with the RAM issues. If people want to upgrade for a few years better gaming all power to them

@Othatguy its like when people get a new graphics card, you do it for better quality. The selling point for me is quality mode graphics at performance frame rates. Getting RT at 60 fps and looking like 4K is more than slight to me. Cost me 300 personally after selling my PS5 and upon PS6 release the Pro will have a much higher resale value than a base PS5 would. More than worth that upgrade cost for me personally.

Re: Further Frustration as PS Plus' Latest Retro Game Arrives without PS5, PS4 Trophies

Andy22385

Everyone's different, people who dont trophy hunt won't see the point and sure, you don't 'need' trophies, but it's the achievement factor in doing them. But it's just pure laziness not to add them. The retro part of PS Premium is already pretty bad (so many old games they could tap into and we get one a month added and sometimes even none). The least they could do is add a trophy list to satisfy some people. Personally I'd love to hunt down a trophy list for an old game I used to like. If not, I could just emulate it if it was just about playing it. Especially as all as we get is bog standard ports with nothing improved.

Re: Step Aside PS Portal! The Best Way to Use PS5 Remote Play Is Getting Better

Andy22385

@RoomWithaMoose yes but the point is it's a handheld, if you're trying to replicate the experience then sitting there holding controller and playing on a phone isn't it.
And yep you could get a holder but then you're not using a dualsense so again not the same experience. There's natually other options but its a grsat screen on the portal and i think it has its uses (especially now it has streaming which you can't do on a tablet)

Re: Sony Confirms Big PS5 Pro Upgrade Is Out in March, Better PSSR Upscaler

Andy22385

Always confuses me the people who say i never see any difference in the footage. You wont... Its compressed. The point was youre gettung quality mode graphics at performance mode framerates (or better than in this case). That's how it was always advertised. Some people just want every bell and whistle. Ive loved being able to have RT on in some games whilst I'd have never done it on base PS5 simply because of being stuck at 30 fps

Re: Here's Why Shawn Layden Thinks Sony 'Can't Get Away' with Making PS6 Digital Only

Andy22385

Youd have to be pretty braindead to think the PS6 won't have a drive. As an addon? Perhaps. Although having to buy one and fit as an extra might just kill off physical for good. And it'll hurt sony as more will move over to PC, especially with exclusives arriving there quick now. It'll sure be a sad day for me paying £70 (probably £80) a game compared to about £10 overall now

Re: Poll: Does the Steam Machine Pose a Threat to PS5?

Andy22385

I dont see who its for to be honest. It depends on the price. If its under £500 itll probably do ok. But it isnt making PS5 users move, steam only for the casual user..why ditch your PS5 for that? And PC guys want the customisation, stuck at 8GB VRAM and something only as powerful as a PS5. Really dont see who it is for

Re: All PS5 Games with Power Saver Support

Andy22385

@MrHabushi but it doesnt run at 90w. Thats the main point. Gamed could run at this wattage and run exactly the same as they do now. Yes Sonys word is correct, some games will scale back performance to run at 90w. But some won't need to scale back performance to do that, thats the point
