@zebric21 not really sure what rapidly improves means. FSR is over 5 years old and isn't any better than PSSR that's only been on the market under 2 years. If anything that's the rapid improvement. DLSS is naturally better but they've had over 7 years to improve it, PSSR is certainly way ahead of where that was after 2

@Noone2025 completion satisfaction for me. When I get one I know I've done practically everything the game has to offer and got my money's worth. Plus when something is actually hard and you achieve it it's a great feeling. Rather than thinking I can't be bothered doing that

@Bigumamiflavor in fairness GTA doesn't need one. They'll sell 50 million day one either way. Square Enix definitely need every sale though

It wouldn't though would it. As much as I've loved the remake project and the expanded world. Everyone would be happy if it was a HD-2D version or something like the Memoria Project on FF9. (I'm baffled they haven't hired them btw it is stunning).

And if I order a new game it's delivered release day or a day early, plus I could literally walk to a store and get it, you don't have to wait for delivery. Naturally the outage won't last long but i was pointing to the fact it could go down anytime and we cant do anything. I still remember when it was down for 3 weeks

Well still know Sony are making it seem worse than it is but I do hope it's reversed but I doubt it, people should have the choice especially as people have bought a disc drive for their Pro. Just charge more if you need to for disc. It'll be a sad day for me. It's easily saved me 4000+ this gen simply because I've been able to buy physical. Certainly a lot of cash to be put on my gaming bill next gen. If I didn't love chasing trophies I'd probably go full PC next gen, it'd save me a lot of money.

Thing is though is it because of games just not selling like they did? Requiem from example was about 30% physical. So no reason the other AAAs aren't a similar number. 100k sounds shocking but it's not as if the games that sold 100k physical sold over a million digital. They just sold low as a whole

Finally pick it up now it's 60. Madness it wasn't to start with for a game that looks like a PS3 game

People saying about people making too much and being babies about it being digital. You lose out too with a 100% digital PS, don't forget that.

If they want to go all digital then do it. But I hate that they're twisting the numbers and acting like it's 85% of proper game releases are digital when it's nothing like that figure to make it sound like it's obvious they should

@Darff11 isn't really the point about them supporting them forever though is it. Naturally that was always going to end. But it's not a good thing. Just means everyone. Including digital players will end up paying more for games

@jonnybear wish I knew, they never release splits of digital Vs physical on releases anymore but it's certainly nowhere near 85

@ShadowRJ makes sense. Genuinely can't believe people are still spouting it's 85% of games like it's the same for ones in stores. If I was to guess I'd say 60% digital for day one games

@Nexozi you literally said why yourself. PC has multiple store fronts. They compete with each other on price. We don't have that, we have only one store and whatever price they want to charge we have no other option. This is why it is bad

People really need to stop throwing this 85% figure out. It's so misleading. That isn't the ratio of digital to physical on new releases

Like I wrote on the other topic. That's less gaming for me now or even possibly moving to PC. Physical gaming was savings me thousands a year

@clvr I agree with your last point. Absolutely sales are irrelevant to quality but eh..I'd be hard pressed to think of games that have the full package of story, gameplay, attention to detail and visuals of rockstar products. Like I say in my personal opinion the bar is always raised. Everyone different though

@clvr I play hundreds and GTA games are still the overall package of story and gameplay IMO, just plain fun. Don't get me wrong I'll never agree with 30 FPS and I haven't played a single one this gen at 30. I pick performance mode always. But we still haven't seen it graphically proper yet to judge. And they're always the best looking games that exist on release. And the physics will likely be next level too. Naturally there will be people that think they're overrated though but there's a reason they score 97 98 and sell tens of millions.

@MikeOrator I mean you're right with he code in a box. But outrageous price? Don't get that. It's a normal price and will have more content than 99% of games. I remember game prices in the 90s. That's $120 now and they lasted about 2 hours. Now we get 200 hour massive world experiences. Probably the best value entertainment per hour there is.

@clvr track record I guess. Rockstar never miss. They push the boundary every single time. Every other GTA was 30 FPS so whilst it's not ideal, you can't knock their overall game package.

@Rich33 I have a VRR so I'd be very satisfied if it was 55 FPS. I can't tell the difference with VRR kicking in. Dropping under 48 is highly noticeable though

I doubt many expected it. Id take 40 every day of the week though. 50% better frame time is a good improvement. The eyes will adjust though. Moving from 60 to 30 is jarring but with fresh eyes waking up you adjust to 30 pretty quickly

Got zero worries with Rockstar. Wouldn't surprise me if this is on a console. Might be PS5 Pro but I could care less.

@Dogbreath GTA V ran great I played it day one. Didn't run into any bugs personally. Online was buggy, but that's different. Same with RDR2. I played GTA 4 day one but it's 20 years ago so I can't really remember. Given it scored 98/100 and the second highest score of all time. I can't see that a mess either? For massive open worlds they're very stable day one

For anyone saying there's no disc to stop leaks, they could have just had a day one update where the game couldn't be played without it.
