If you've yet to nab yourself a PS5 console, now would be a pretty good time to do it.
On its PS Direct website, Sony has introduced a limited-time offer, whereby customers who buy a PS5 console will be able to claim three months of PS Plus Premium at no extra cost.
PS Plus Premium is the highest tier of the platform's subscription model, giving you access to cloud streaming, game trials, and a range of retro classics in addition to a vast games library, online multiplayer, etc.
Typically, a three-month block of PS Plus Premium would set you back $49.99/£39.99, so it's a pretty nice saving.

Obviously, Sony's plan is to keep you subscribed past this three-month period, but you can cancel at any time to avoid further payments.
The offer is only available from now until 21st October, so there's not a huge amount of time left to take advantage.

From the way PS+ has been killing it recently, that is actually a really good deal.

Just buy an A1 used PS5 (there are so many around!) from Sony or Music Magpie or similar and save yourself £100 or so...

This offer isn't just for ps5's bought directly from PlayStation. It can be used on any newly activated ps5 between those dates
While current subscribers are excluded from those rare occasions when PS+ is discounted...

Better off buying elsewhere. £479 vs cheaper elsewhere with games included. And no cashback on PS direct vs up to £40+. You can probably save £100 by buying elsewhere. Thats better than 3 months premium
Crusty old gamers like me retire or die off. New young kids are coming into gaming all the time.
If you are buying your first PS5 now, you are almost certainly in the latter category.
They have no games library built up, no backlog to play, and are time-rich and cash-poor.
These are the people for whom these subs excel.
It’s a good marketing move by Sony, but with the crowd on this website I’m pretty sure everyone is sorted with their tier of PS whatever…
