GOTY right there if they nail this. Looking forward to giving myself eyestrain peering into the dark again over Christmas.

Generic Space Chad becomes Generic Space Chad

As long as there's a mod to disable encumbrance what else do we need?

This looks really interesting, though not sure my astigmatism would thank me for playing it!

Huh, noisy Internet chuds don't represent anything but a tiny minority. Who knew?

> Not to mention obvious diversity and inclusion which seems pretty forced.

What on earth is this drivel meant to mean? Absolutely honking stuff.

(Probably rhe strongest Scottish vernacular I can safely use without this getting deleted)

Only nearly a year and-a-half late, Bethesda.

@JoDoMac Most sensible comment on the thread. (Though I'll probably wait 12 hours until the following day).

7. More games should be set in Scotland

I see it's got an obligatory tedious hallucination sequence.

I'm old enough to remember when he was C-Monster in the pages of Amiga Power.

@DogPark You just know the single player is going to be the most bare-bones, MMO-lite nonsense, sadly.

A single player Dune RPG would be amazing

Not for me, Clive

Okay, now make it possible for us to sell our digital games ro each other via an online marketplace.

You'll do that, right? Sony? Sony, where are you going?

Absolutely vanilla, bang average

>VIDEO GAME character age is completely irrelevant

Sounds a bit of a noncey thing to say

What a weird (and very predictable) guy

ew, multiplayer

Some F2P, live-service, micro-transaction riddled *****, of course.

@Balaam_ Not all record companies and car manufacturers will want to grant rights in perpetuity.

@MrPeanutbutterz Presumably his predecessor in the role was Johnny Megatron

Oh no, I won't be able to use messaging or voice chat.

Well, it can't have it.

Lost Records is great, really moving ending part. I think it hit quite hard as I'm getting older.

Just give us a decent new Transformers game, you cowards.

Blasphemous 2 is quite brilliant.

Hope they remove them purely so David Jaffe has the mother of all meltdowns.

What a profoundly odd man.

@TizeruBon I think this is inevitable, we know it's happening and the studio's silence is inexplicable unless it would be announced at an event like this.

The only good thing about this seems to be the rock opera version of Aloy's Theme.

Looking forward to Rounders Simulator 2026!

Aiden Pearce, one of the worst protagonists in modern gaming (only rivalled by Deacon St John).

Pity about Watchdogs more generally, as a resident of London their version of it was terrific.

Not too upset about staggered releases, let Xbox users be the beta testers for an improved product on PS5.

@Oram77 Blimey, selling over double the amount on PS5 in just under a year, than in over five years on Xbox, is quite striking - even taking Game Pass into account.

Out of interest, do we know how many it sold on Xbox since release?

@naruball I've got a fiver on Fable never coming out.

Always hyped for killing some Nazis, whether it's as Indy or BJ Blazkowicz.

@PuppetMaster my uni has returned to assessing students with in-person, closed-book oral or written exams, since there's no other way we can confidently secure the assessment.

Other universities are still assessing by essay with the big risk of AI cheating, and they are doing their students a big disservice. Employers already tell us that they view degrees awarded from certain institutions with a lot of suspicion and make hiring decisions accordingly.

@PuppetMaster I'm a lecturer and it is profoundly depressing to see the next generation outsourcing their critical thinking to GenAI, despite the results it provides them for essays and the like being tediously written and full of garbage. Then they wonder why they flunk their in-person written and oral exams when the crutch is removed and they are forced to rely on their own knowledge and independent thought.

It's really sad to watch them smooth out their brains in real time.

@Theamazing1 indeed. And all these claims of it being 'overpraised' and 'overrated' when in every public GOTY poll it wins by a country mile.

@Cypher_Unknown I picked up Armored Core for £12 new from Amazon during the recent sale.

You clearly have a different definition than I do to the term 'must-own'!

Great news that they are binning the multiplayer aspect! Nothing more tedious.

@ApostateMage By 'robbed', I presume ypu mean beaten fair and square in a public vote where it's currently fourth?

This isn't coming out at all, is it?

As sure as night follows day.

'AI thought partners'.

Stop the world, I want to get off.

Loved it and its slightly melancholic air.

My cat, on the other hand, went ***** at the meowing coming from the controller speaker.

Game of the Year for me by a country mile, perhaps even my Game of the Decade. I wish I could scrub it from my memory to play it afresh all over again.

@stocko Pretty certain this is Wood Lane, under the tube line.
