After some initial confusion about the nature of Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls’ single player mode, we now know it’ll consist of five different stories, each featuring one of the game’s main teams.
A new trailer, however, reveals each of these plots – presented like comic books with DualSense features integrated – will be drawn by a different artist, and there’ll be boss fights with obscure characters The Promoter and The Champion throughout.
I wouldn’t be surprised if these two are part of the Year 1 DLC pass.

Even more excitingly, the stories will be written by comic book legend Kieron Gillen, who’s known for penning a variety of highly successful series, such as Immortal X-Men and Star Wars: Doctor Aphra.
Gillen is actually no stranger to the world of video games, having started his career in journalism, writing for a variety of sites like Eurogamer and EDGE. He actually founded the PC site Rock Paper Shotgun in 2007, before switching full-time to comic book writing in 2010.
