Yeah, I hear this, they have lost a ton of good will with so many blunders over the past couple of years. But they seem to be doing a good job on Doom Eternal thus far. We can only hope they use this as a template moving forward.

6 out of 8. Mostly guessed my way through, I've only finished Odyssey.

I look forward to trying City: Skylines. But I've also had similar thoughts in the past, and never played them. Too many games.

I never pre-order games, but I may buy Cyberpunk shortly after release depending on reviews.

Nice review. I love Lizard Cube's art style. I'm not sure if I would enjoy this or not. I've never played a Street of Rage game, but I did play Final Fight back in the day. Probably grounds for divorce for some people.

More Animal Crossing and AC: Odyssey. My brain gets confused when I see a butterfly go floating by in Odyssey.

Very disappointing to hear. I downloaded this but haven't played it yet. Oh well, back to Animal Crossing and Assassin's Creed Odyssey, two games that couldn't be more diametrically opposed.

I haven't played an Assassin's Creed since 2 until just recently. I picked up Odyssey for sheltering at home, and have been really enjoying it. So, naturally curious about the viking themed one. Of course I will probably wait and pick up the gold edition for $25 like I did this one.

I'll just insert the Martian voices from Mars Attacks! to fill in the missing dialogue. Ack ack ack Ack ack! <don't run, we are your friends>

Please be double that. Witcher 3 DLC is the gold standard as far as I'm concerned.

I've always thought this game looked interesting. However, I've never connected much with any of the Capy games I've played. Would be a good PS Plus addition for me.

That has to be at least part of the reason, right? Enjoying the heck out Animal crossing right now. Happy and bright little piece of escapism. Although I have to admit I'm also enjoying shanking cultists and mercenaries in Assassin's Creed: Odyssey also.

Nothing wrong with that. As soon as I heard that there was going to be an upgraded version of Persona 5, my brain threw interest in the original out the window.

I'm sure they'll find another way to communicate that microtransactions are coming to Doom Eternal later this month.

Hmm, maybe. Persona 5 Royal reminds me of the way the Civilization games do post game DLC, or even the new XCOM games. So it seems possible. Not sure how they handle the new save file in those Firaxis games.

Does anyone else think their business model is odd? Why not just release the improvements as DLC? I wonder how many people buy both at full price. It doesn't seem consumer friendly.
Anyways, I have interest in this game, but I haven't played a jrpg in YEARS. Ok, actually I did play the FFVIIR demo. This game looks so dang stylish though. I put myself down for wait for a sale (maybe).

What an awesome movie. I rewatched the 1987 Schwarzenegger classic recently, and it holds up very well. Too bad they never made a sequel.

Gothic is one the the last games I ever would have expected to get a remake. Could be interesting. I also keep glancing at Elex whenever it's on sale and wondering if it's time for me to try it.

I hear what you are saying, but I dunno. I think a lot more people consider a cell phone a necessity than a game console. So that makes the higher prices more justifiable to a lot of people. Me though, I wouldn't pay $1000 for a phone or a console personally.

I played all of their PS4 releases this year thanks to them being released on PS Plus. A lot of the game pundits on podcasts seem to rip on them a lot, but I really enjoyed my time with them. I'd really enjoy them delving back into the Detroit world. Doesn't seem like they are big on sequels though.

Maybe? The most interesting thing for me about this one would be that I enjoyed Ragnar Tornquist's work on The Longest Journey.

Never played Bioshock 2 back in the day since Ken Levine wasn't involved. But curious about the much lauded Minerva's Den dlc.

Played the original Sims also, it was cute. So I will at least give the Sims 4 a whirl.

I'm still waiting for Bethesda to drop the bad news as well. I have no faith in them at all anymore. If they can leave the microtransactions out of the single player part, then I'll be good.

The top 3 are pretty accurate for me, though depending on the day I may switch around the order.

I love the Last of Us. I've never felt more connected to two characters in a video game. Wonderfully written and performed.

Witcher 3 is either my favorite RPG of all time, or very near the top.

The new God of War is easily my favorite of the series. I loved the reinvention. I loved the father/son dynamic. I love that it wasn't a hard reboot and is a continuation taking place in the same, albeit different part of the world.

Still some games I need to get to on this list.

It's so true, Days Gone wasn't a particularly unique open world, but I absolutely loved it. I think for me it was the the setting of Oregon, and driving around on the motorcycle was a lot of fun. I also liked story of Deacon and Sarah, and felt there was more to Deacon than the gruff male label that was slapped on him.

Do we really think there will be a sequel though? I don't remember Sony parading around sales numbers for this one.

I don't remember that specifically, but with as much time as he dedicated to Bioshock I can only imagine he's ready to do something else. If anything with the closure of Irrational I would think 2K would be done with Bioshock. Guess that Bioshock collection is selling well.

That's actually not correct. After Inifinite failed to live up to sales expectations there were mass layoffs at Irrational. Ken Levine stayed on with a small number of other Irrational employees and formed Ghost Story Games. He is still working for 2K.

You're right, Ubisoft did do it to themselves. But why can't that just be the end of it? People make mistakes all of the time. I read endings to books I don't find satisfying all the time. Should I start a twitter campaign? Outrage culture is all about viciously revising things that don't fit their world views, otherwise known as censorship. "More people were impacted by this than homosexuals" is completely irrelevant.

Interesting. Uncharted 4 was easily my favorite Uncharted. I loved the ending. Although I'm actually downloading Lost Legacy as I type this.
Just like people were against a sequel to the the Last of Us though, there is no doubt in my mind that Sony will attempt to continue Uncharted in some way. It makes too much business sense. I don't remember them touting sales numbers for Lost Legacy like they did 4 though. I wonder if they can do it without beloved character Nathan Drake. Or if they will bring him back?
