Re: There's a Brutal Lack of Interest in Marathon from Hardcore PS5 Fans

AdamNovice

This is reaching a bit isn't it? Push Square's core audience rarely engage with live service articles (other then to moan). There's little to no interest in the Patapon remasters either, would that be worth writing an article about.
I love this site I do but come on if it actually represented the whole core PlayStation community then Astro Bot would be 10m + seller by now.

Re: PS6's Rumoured Handheld Is Getting More Tangible by the Day

AdamNovice

I'm excited at the prospect but as weird as this sounds, I don't want it to play PS6 games natively. Reason been that it will add to the cost, battery life will be atrocious considering Steam Decks barely last that long anyway. And it seriously runs the risk of being a Xbox Series S situation where it ends up been a handicap to the PS6.
Keep PS6 titles as cloud games and use PS5 as the benchmark.

Re: Round Up: What Was Announced for PS5 at Xbox Games Showcase?

AdamNovice

Like I said in a previous article, I was astonished at how much was missing from the show. It doesn't reflect well on those that were criticising Sony for their studio's no show when they could and should have had way more to show.

Interesting observation, I was watching Maximilian Dood's stream and he was getting annoyed at how many games had licenced songs so he had to mute it. It's something I think publishers should probably think about going forward because streamer reactions can be a great source of free marketing in itself.

Re: Poll: How Would You Rate Summer Game Fest 2025?

AdamNovice

My highlights were
Marvel Cosmic Invasion
Atomic Heart 2
Resident Evil 9
Street Fighter 6

Some indie games looked cool like Felt That but no PS5 confirmation yet.

@fatewalker Tbh I've been the same except I can't get my head around how people thought the SoP was bad.

Re: Sony Studio Insomniac Inviting Interns to Cut Their Claws on Marvel's Wolverine for PS5

AdamNovice

@themightyant Very valid points, though I remember Tony Todd saying that Insomniac left about 80% of his dialogue out of the game, suggesting that there's plenty to work with.
Plus that whole Venom section seemed way too developed for it to just be for a short section.
It's possible though they might save it all for SM3 where there's the potential to play as 4 separate characters.
Peter Parker
Miles Morales
Silk
And Venom.

Re: TV Show Review: The Last Of Us (HBO) Season 2 Episode 7 - Great Game Makes for Okay TV

AdamNovice

This second season only reinforces to me of just how poor of a sequel story it was to the first one. For me outside the dinosaur museum, it was like they completely forgot what made TLOU in the first place.

@Ironcore You hit the nail on the head, it's what many of us were saying at time the game came out but sadly it got drowned by the more unsavoury criticisms along with those that were ultra defensive of Naughty Dog.

@get2sammyb And that's the biggest flaw really. For seven years we had the first game framing Joel and Ellie as our protagonists that we get invested in. Only for the second one to be a brutally nihilistic one note revenge story with no one to root for. Regardless what everyone thinks of TLOU2, Naughty Dog split their fanbase into pieces after that, to the point that they have their work cut out with Intergalactic to reach the kind of sales the first TLOU reached.
