@MichaelNau Yeah it's crazy she got added to that because she only existed in the PSP version, so God knows how they managed that. As for her being strong well it would make sense since she's essentially a god.
It's about time SF6 got some weird characters. We've only really had Aki, hopefully she proves to be a fun character because the hate she gets for being in Capcom Fighting Evolution is so forced.
@get2sammyb It is par for the course with ND though. Remember Lost Legacy? That was going to be an expansion for Uncharted 4 (they even had a season pass which they later cancelled) but instead it grew to the size where it was sold separately.
@LifeGirl I would say it is, a lot of people are looking forward to The Witcher 4. If that new expansion is true then I wouldn't be surprised if it acts as a bridge to the new game.
I read that at some point you can summon an eclipse which makes the world more hellish and difficult. Which sounds great...but I'm a Berserk fan so the whole idea makes me shudder.
@GeminiX53 Well for one, it's a PC thing so for those like me who only prefer consoles it isn't an option. And 2. It's still too many steps then necessary. I mean why do you think so many wanted Marvel vs Capcom to get rereleased? Because most didn't want to bother with Fightcade, heck most don't even know it exists.
I remember back in the 90s I wanted an X-Men game for my Mega Drive but my mother couldn't find it anywhere. So she got me Captain America and the Avengers instead and I played the hell out of it. In retrospect my mother made a good choice because the X-Men game wasn't good.
And I got much later got Maximum Carnage which was my first Spider-Man game. So to have these come back out of nowhere was a pleasant surprise.
That video game crash of 83 gets so overblown. It was only limited to America while the rest of the industry went about it's business. Things are crap right now but the industry is way too big to be suffering any kind of crash.
Someone made a good point the other day that unlike other companies, Epic aren't a publicly traded company who have to keep the share holders happy.
If Epic needed money then maybe Tim Sweeney should have sold more of his shares in the company or at least a reduction in his salary in order to lesser the numbers of those being let go but I doubt he wants that conversation.
@PuppetMaster I would say there's gotta be a decent size because it's an IP that's very combat focused so I think them getting a fighting game after so long will be enticing.
Do anyone think Sony should do some kind of monthly payment scheme for PS6? I think it would entice people to not be so put off by paying it all upfront.
@PuppetMaster Especially with Strive 2.0 and SF6 season 4 will likely start around that time. But I think Avatar has a big enough audience and an attractive price point to find a player base.
I have no doubt that they will have started development of Destiny 3 recently but it'll be a PS6 title. Frankly Sony needs to start building trust with those who are willing to support there live service games because if they keep cutting support early just because of a combination of low player numbers and/or bad press then how do they expect to build any kind of player base?
It kinda needed to be at this price because it's sandwiched between two more high profile fighting games in Invincible Vs and Marvel Tokon. I can see it ending up being the so called "purists* choice. But I hope all three find success.
It is all a bit depressing but we need to remember that everything is temporary. Markets fluctuate overtime and I'm sure that one day costs will come down. It's just a question of when.
@PuppetMaster Don't remind me mate. I'm still bitter about that. Same with Blade Runner 2049 and Furiosa a Mad Max Saga, great movies that deserved to do so much better.
@PuppetMaster I played Dredd vs Death on PS2, it wasn't great but there things I liked about it such as when an enemy gave up you can handcuff them and the game would generate a sentence for them.
It was ridiculous how many PC port beggars there were on their tweets yesterday. If more people had actually bought Returnal on PC then maybe they might have gotten Saros.
I still struggle to see how TLOU Factions would have been monetized, games like Destiny and Overwatch can make some outlandish cosmetics but you can't do that with TLOU. All you can make is different backpacks and coats. And for how much it was costing it probably wasn't enough to sustain itself, and that's before it has would began to effect their single player games.
I imagine rental costs for the studios is massively high as well. Something does need to be done, games are taking too long to make and budgets are so high that games just can't fail anymore. AI could be a solution but not if it generative AI and not if it has economical, environmental and employment costs.
Without knowing what state the game was in, it's impossible to say if would have turned out alright. For all we know the game was a good idea but it needed a long time and a lot of money to get it into a good place.
Why do some assume that every IP has to continue? The great thing that Sony did over the years was allow their studios to move on. And it largely worked, Naughty Dog, Sucker Punch, Guerilla Games and to a lesser extent Insomniac all moved onto big and more successful IPs.
@PuppetMaster It's like with Tokon where they are making changes based on feedback, which I think is great because it will surely make for a better game. But you can end up changing too much that it barely resembles what it was meant to be.

Re: Poll: Vote for Your PS5 Game of the Month (March 2026)
If it was an option I'd have gone for Marvel Maximum Collection since that's the only one I bought.
Re: PS5 Power Saver Yet Again Tipped as PS6 Handheld 'Trojan Horse'
@IOI I don't like Sony closing studios either but there's nothing we can do about it so might as well move on.
Re: PS5 Power Saver Yet Again Tipped as PS6 Handheld 'Trojan Horse'
I wonder if one of the reasons Sony purchased that machine learning company is to help them develop PSSR further.

That's my concern if it's the corporations's endgame, hardware too expensive so subscribe to stream instead.
Re: Hardware Snoop Tips Rumoured PS6 Handheld to Be a Beast
It's why I only want the handheld to play PS5 games or older. They can make PS6 games as a streaming option and bring out an upgraded model later on.
