The Delta Force series hasn't been seen on PlayStation for about 20 years, but now, developer Team Jade has finally announced the release date of its free-to-play reboot of the shooter franchise.

The simply titled Delta Force launches on PS5 on 19th August 2025.

The game is a free-to-play tactical shooter, featuring multiplayer modes as well as a remake of the campaign based on Black Hawk Down.

Warfare is a 32 vs. 32 multiplayer battle featuring land, sea, and air vehicles, while Operations offers an extraction mode as well as objective-based Raid mode.

It's received plenty of post-launch support since its launch on PC and mobile, so should be in a pretty good place when it arrives on PS5.

While the reception on Steam is mixed, it has a very consistently high player count, so it seems those that like the game are sticking with it.

A console closed beta test will be taking place in July, with more information to come closer to the time.
