Here’s your first look at stalwart Sagat’s gameplay in Street Fighter 6.
As you’d expect, the lanky Thai fighter uses his enormous limbs to close space, while his iconic Tiger Punch gives him the ability to attack from distance as well.
To our eye, there’s a bit more grappling to his move set than in past Street Fighter games, but perhaps that’s just the way the trailer’s been compiled.
He’s launching on 5th August, alongside a new stage named Proud Spire. Much like previous Thailand levels this looks to be inspired by historical parts of the country, like Ayutthaya, with its looming big Buddha in the background.

Two outfits will be available at launch, including one inspired by his Muay Thai getup from Street Fighter 2.
This marks the start of a new season of Street Fighter content, of course, and you can purchase the Year 3 Pass from the PS Store right now.
