Even the most optimistic of Fate fans will be shocked to hear that years-in-the-making RPG Fate/Extra Record actually has a release date — and it's coming relatively soon.
This game's development cycle has been troubled to say the least. It's been delayed in some shape or form at least three or four times over the last seven years or so, but it's finally been kicked into shape.
It's launching for PS5 and PS4 on the 28th January 2027, adding to what has quickly become an utterly stacked release schedule on Sony's system.

Just to recap, Fate/Extra Record is a turn-based RPG and a ground-up remake of Fate/Extra, which came to the PSP all the way back in 2010.
Truthfully, there were times when I thought this thing would simply never come out — but I guess it pays to maintain faith in all things Fate.

Finally releasing and breaking free from PSP prison
I find it funny that this game has been in development longer than the time between the original game and the time they started making it.
I quite enjoyed the original, not sure if I'll like all the changes...but I'll find out eventually.
