July 2022's PS Plus games have been officially announced, and yet again, the latest leak was spot on. As per usual, PS Plus Essential subscribers are getting three games spread across PS5 and PS4.

The July 2022 line up is as follows:

Crash Bandicoot 4 will probably be the biggest deal for most subscribers. It's a tough but enjoyably traditional platforming adventure, and it's available on PS5 as well as PS4.

Meanwhile, schlocky horror title Man of Medan is a decently dumb time — especially with a friend or two — but it should be noted that PS Plus Extra subscribers already have access to this one, so there's a bit of a crossover there.

And finally, Arcadegeddon is a new release. It's a multiplayer shooter that's received some reasonably positive previews, and it's certainly got an eye-catching art style. Its inclusion on PS Plus should ensure that plenty of people are playing it over the launch period.

We tacked a glowing 8/10 on our Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time review: "There's almost too much to talk about with Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time, but rest assured that this is a return to form for the series. It might be tough, even a little mean at times, but this is the proper sequel fans have been asking for. With so much to see and do, this is a stylish, confident 3D platformer that brings Crash back at his best."

But we were less enthusiastic in our 5/10 The Dark Pictures Anthology: Man of Medan review: "Man of Medan kicks The Dark Pictures Anthology off with a whimper rather than a bang. The format has a lot of potential, but this was undoubtedly the wrong story to showcase it. The narrative is slight and rarely gets out of first gear, the characters are annoying, the scares limp, and the dialogue unnatural."

All three of these games will be available to download starting from the 5th July — that's next Tuesday. Until then, you can check out our full list of All PS Plus Games, or perhaps our list of Best PS Plus Games if you need help deciding what to play.

We're expecting PS Plus Extra and PS Plus Premium updates at some point in July. All that we know right now is that Stray is coming to Extra at launch, on the 19th July.
