Lmfao im dying at all the console kiddys dying for a console to have something that PC doesn't... Haha SSDs... Welcome to 2010 boys. Smh. I've been running a NVMe SSD at over 2GB/s read/write since like 2014.... I know the Sony fanboys really have their hopes up that the SSD is going to solve all the ps5s woes lol but grasping at straws is so sad..... I mean Sony has the best games hands down... There's no need to be so delusional.... There are PCIe gen 4 nvme SSDs that can match ps5 speeds right now... And for anyone who thinks the ps5 SSD is such a great thing, just remember how hard it is going to be to get an expansion when the time comes.
@wiiware yeah but they werent using the ultra preset either. They were showing how the rotr ps pro version has increased the graphics settings. What was closer to medium settings on ps4 is now closer to very high.. but ultra takes it up a whole other area especially with vxao. It looks incredible.
@wiiware sorry but if you believe the ps4 pro and a 1000 dollar pc is comparable you really really dont know what youre talking about. But whatever lol
I find it funny how many console gamers all of a sudden care about visuals and resolution. But then they dismiss pc gaming lol... hate to say it but you could have had all the ps4 pro offers and much, much more for a long time now. The way he says the jump from ps4 to ps4 pro is eye widening? Yeah the jump from consoles to 4k ultra settings pc gaming is like a generational jump from ps3 to ps4 pro, its that big. I game on both an ultra wide 3440x1440 100hz monitor and a 50 inch 4k hdr tv and ive been getting this wow factor for over a year now lol.
All that being said, the power the ps4 pro is offering for the price is absolutely amazing. I cant wait to snag one. Horizon zero dawn alone was enough reason for me to say yes please. Looks great. I just really REALLY hope its not 30 fps. Yuck
Absolutely love it. Ever since the taken king when i got into raiding ive been totally hooked on this game. Theres really nothing else ive experienced quite like it before. The teamwork and communication invovled in doing kings fall was incredible. Pair that with some of the best gunplay you will ever experience and some totally badass weapons (touch of malice questline made me feel like i really deserved such an insane weapon after how long the quest was) and youve got an amazing game.
I really hope the rise of iron raid gives me the same feeling. Its great to play with friends. I play with my 2 good buddies so we do most all weekly stuff tg and then we just find 3 randoms on LFG sites to do the raid.
The reason why when it comes to 4k content i choose to buy 4k blurays instead of stream is because streaming 4k is not the same as true 4k content from the source. If you are really into quality, and really take your media/home theater experience seriously, youll choose to own physical.
Im a huge film buff. When i bought my first home a few years ago, that was the first thing I did when i moved in, i renovated the basement and built a home theater room with full 7.1 surround sound and originally a 75 inch 1080p tv but have since switched to an 80 inch 4k HDR Samsung Suhd tv..
But yeah i cant believe they didnt include a 4k player... its literally the ONLY reason i bought an xbox one S
@Galvatron i have absolutely no issue with someone liking or even loving the game. Although i personally think its a steaming pile of poo, i fully understand and accept that everyone has an opinion and it doesnt hurt me whatsoever.
What i do take issue with, however, is you giving sean murray a free pass because you like the game. Even going as far as denying to yourself that he lied his absolute ass off for months and months and months.
They were showing a completely different build of the game right up until 4 months before launch for Gods sake. What a total joke. Sorry, but even the people who enjoyed the game for what it was should not let this kind of stuff go and just pretend you weren't totally bamboozled.
God this kinda crap makes me thank god i play most of my games on steam. I had no mans sky refunded and money back in my account 24 hours after asking for one.
I suspect a lot of the people who choose bloodborne as the best souls game are the people who hadn't played a souls game until bloodborne, and then tried the others after or perhaps didn't play them at all.
Bloodborne is amazing, don't get me wrong. But from a mechanics standpoint as well as weapon, armor customization etc it most definitely is not the best of the series. But imo when it comes to the souls series, they're all so unbelievably incredible that determining which is the best is super hard to do.
The first Titan fall was actually freaking awesome. Well, the game play was at least. But there just wasn't enough content to keep people interested. I'm hoping this time they bring a single player campaign as well and have much better fleshed out progression for the multi-player. It's great that they're bringing it to ps4 this time because Playstation owners definitely missed out.
Price seems right where it should be when you take in to account that sony themselves have come out and admit that psvr cant compare to oculus or vive. It seems pretty bad theyre not adding the camera in at least though.. as for move controllers i dont mind that theyre not included because they arent nessecary for it to work.
Ah unfortunately Sony has actually come out and straight up said that Playstation VR is not going to be high quality in the way that oculus rift is. I mean I kind of knew that it wasn't going to be possible to be on par because of how much less powerful the ps4 is, but I still had hopes that they were somehow gonna pull off a miracle. Ah well I'm definitely still picking it up to support Sony and VR but I'm bummed about that bit of info.
I am pretty stoked though my oculus rift will be arriving in another 2 weeks. Can't freaking wait
I've bee following this game.. I actually enjoyed bound by flame for what it was. I feel as though if the studio had more money to create that game it could have been really great. I enjoyed the combat a lot.
Hopefully they've been given a bigger budget and some time to really polish this one. It would be really cool to see a new dev step into the AAA spotlight... we've been relying on the same developers/publishers for the big games especially rpgs for a while now.. it'd be nice to see some fresh blood.
@JoeBlogs something we can agree on! And just to be clear the ps4 is most definitely one of my favorite pieces of plastic as well. I've just never been the one platform kinda guy.. but I've always been a huge fan of Playstation.
So yes, I'm hoping it's going to be something great, but am extremely cautious in my optimism knowing what I do.
@JoeBlogs no you most definitely were factually incorrect. And as far as the bit about refresh rates and monitors, if you weren't so defensive about your little piece of plastic, you would have realized it was making a point about how pivotal framerate is. I clearly stated that it's much less important on a tv with a controller, but the anecdote was to point out how few console only gamers grasp the importance of framerate especially in a VR setting.
It just sounds to me that anyone who might suggest there are other things in the world aside from your little piece of plastic you get extremely defensive.. and I guess it's typical. So don't worry, I solemnly swear to never educate you on the technologies involved in getting VR to work properly again.
@JoeBlogs because I'm familiar with computer hardware and it's limitations ? Lol. The processing unit you're talking about has nothing to do with enhancing the power of the ps4. It does no "heavy lifting" whatsoever. It's there as an upscaling engine and to work on the interpolation... which is unfortunately the only way psvr will work. When it's running at 120 fps in the psvr headset, it's actually only 60 frames per second that are doubled. It creates the illusion of a slightly more smooth experience but it is no subtitution for the real thing.
I just wish every console gamer could once in their life sit down at a 144Hz gaming monitor, preferably with gsync or freesync depending on the gpu being used, and have someone let them try games at 30,60, and finally uncapped at 144 fps so they could see just how much it does in fact matter and make a difference.
The thing is, on a tv with a controller, it's much more acceptable to have the lower framerates, but with a head mounted display where latency is ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING, it's much less acceptable.
Unfortunately I think the death warrant for the vive has been sealed.. and this is coming from an enthusiast pc gamer. My pc is worth around 6 grand if including monitor, and I will not be spending a grand after taxes on the vive VR... first of all, they don't have any killer app in any way shape or form at the moment, and oculus has been busy locking down exclusives to their platform (something they promised they wouldn't do) and at that price point, the vive will be lucky to sell 10,000 units worldwide mark my words...
My eggs are in oculus basket at the moment. I've had mine preordered since day one and will be receiving it at the end of March. Eve valkyrie is something I've been super excited for.
As far as Playstation VR, I've expressed many times that I'm extremely skeptical at how such an underpowered console is going to be able to push games at 90 fps and render a resolution of 2160x1200 (I don't know ps vrs actual resolution but it had better be at least that high or there will be an immense "screen door" effect)
All that being said, I haven't given up on PSVR... I'm just waiting to see. If they pull it off I'm going to be amazed and delighted and I will be a day one purchaser of course.
This is the first time I have had legitimate AAA game type hype associated with a small indie game before. I've been following this game for just about a year now. Absolutely can't wait to finally get to play it.
I'm extremely hopeful for VR in general... for Playstation vr? Not so much. The system just isn't powerful enough to drive meaningful VR experiences. Consoles have a hard time hitting 30 fps on a lot of games, how are they expected to run at 90 -120 ? An article just came out claiming that even pc gpus aren't up to snuff yet.
I'm just really interested in how they're going to pull it off. Especially because the minimum requirements for an oculus is a gtx 970 which is quite a lot more powerful than a console.. I mean don't get me wrong, I really hope they can pull it off, because Sony would Def make some amazing experiences.. I'm just not convinced yet.
I'm definitely picking up oculus though becsuse I'm dying to play eve:valkyrie and because I'm running a pc with 2 titanX Hybrids.
@Matroska I honestly can't tell if you're trolling or just delusional. Fallout 4 less glitchy and filled with bugs than the witcher 3? That's actually so ridiculous it's funny.
Literally everything negative you said about the witcher can be applied to fallout 4. Lol wow.
Yeah so I've pretty much gone way overboard on the steam winter sale this year. It goes until Jan 4th and I've already bought 8 games.. haha ugh. My backlog just keeps getting bigger and bigger but there are some amazing deals on some great games.
Over the holidays I really want to finish the bloodborne expansion. I beat the game when it first came out, and I've started a new game plus so I plan on playing through the entire thing again only with the dlc this time.
I got a new, frankly amazing monitor for my pc set up, so there's a lot of games I want to play on there right now. I got a 34 inch 3440x1440 curved ips screen with 100hz refresh rate and gsync... So for anyone who doesn't know, it's a 21:9 monitor which is an ultra wide monitor. It gives you a ton of extra screen space on the left and right. It's actually pretty incredible. That, and you can play games at 100 fps. So right now I'm playing dying light on max settings in 3440x1440 ultra wide all at 100 fps, and I can't even explain just how incredible it makes the game. It's so smooth and fast doing parkour and having all that extra field of view.
Other than all that, I'm really excited for the new remaster of dragons dogma on pc coming out next month.
Agreed ! Just finishing up fallout right now, I'm about 80 hours in and I'm at the point where I'm pretty much ready for the game to be over. I'm ready for some closure... The witcher on the other hand, I have put just under 200 hours into. 197 to be exact. When I was playing that game, i just never wanted it to end. I've been a massive witcher fan for a long while being really into the books and previous 2 games so I'm definitely a little biased towards it, but they did an absolutely incredible job building the world, atmosphere, characters and gameplay and have been great post launch for support. This game looked so good in 4k@60fps max settings, I was just blown away.
Yeah the witcher 3 was absolutely amazing and I agree with this up until now but what I don't get is why this happened so early, there are still some really big heavy hitters to release this year and I mean obviously fallout 4 has a real shot at dethroning the witcher. Why wouldn't they wait until the end of 2015 so they could include all games released this year?
Agree agree agree ! Kojima and company are incredible. I really hope he steals away his core team for where ever he goes next. I think the best case scenario for the gamers would be if he opened his own studio and went indie so he could be completely free to build what he wants to build and not have a publisher pushing for this or that. He's a creative genius.. and not the kanye west kind haha. (Don't know if you've seen the video on Facebook of kanye saying that and then the little kid is like shut up you f****** ***hole. Hahahah)
But yeah, I'm going to be playing this game for a long time. Best part is I've got a ton of time to play the single player while waiting for mgo on pc..
Also, I know mad max was shadowed pretty heavily by mgs but if you get a chance, pick it up. It's really good as well.
Hey guys haven't been around for a while thought I'd drop in and say what I'm playing.
Picked up metal gear and mad max on pc last week and I went back and forth the first day because they're both so good in my opinion.. but eventually mgs won out because I've been an absolute massive metal gear fan since I beat the first one on ps1 when it came out when I was a youngster haha.. so that's been going great. The game looks absolutely incredible maxed out in 4k/60fps
Besides that, every evening my wife and I have been putting in an hour or two into until dawn on ps4. It's super fun and we've had our fair share of jump scares so far lol. Only one character has died so far so I think we're doing okay! Haha.. definitely a game I'd recommend. Especially with a significant other.. it's fun to make the decisions together.
Anyway that's all for me! Hope everyone has a good weekend.
Preordered my pc version day one. I just couldn't get this game on console. I'm still playing fallout new vegas on pc because of the amazing and numerous mods for it. I also preordered the new fallout anthology that comes with the mini nuke. Comes with a spot for your fallout 4 game as well. Oh man I can't wait to get it all
I know the fallout mods are coming to xbox one eventually. Hopefully they will being them to ps4 as well one day so no one misses out. You really should see the kinds of things they've done with 3 and new vegas.its incredible.
@BladeRider ahh ugh I didn't think of that. 30 fps with a mouse is not a good scene lol. Ya move the mouse and what feels like 3 seconds later you turn. So much for that idea. Isn't as noticeable with a controller for sure.
Lol it baffles me how many sites just pick up news that actually isn't news from another site and run with it. This trailer is a year old. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0APP5WcX8v8
Haven't finished arkham knight yet, but from everything I have played of it.. I find it incredible. I loved all other arkham games as well, and I thought I was possibly going to feel some franchise fatigue especially because so many games ripping off the batman combat system lately... but nope. This game is amazing. Love the batmobile so much. Riddlers racetrack courses are so fun.
@get2sammyb that's great. I really enjoy the writing style on this site and I visit it at least once a day. I don't always comment, because my opinions a lot of time clash with a lot of your readers opinions. Mostly I think because I game on all platforms more often than just Playstation so I find I can see the positives and negatives more clearly of each platform including Playstation, maybe more so than someone who only games on Playstation. But that's no big deal to me I still love the articles.
@ShogunRok makes total sense! This site just seems like it does so good. In my mind I put it up with a site like vg247 but I guess in reality that isn't the truth eh. Aw well I just hope you guys keep growing to be able to get some people or even hell just one person at e3 next year ! From what I see from other sites they have guys that go around doing interviews and taking in gameplay demos etc and then they release the content slowly over like the next week or more after e3. I always love reading that stuff cuz I can't be there myself lol :/
It'd be awesome if you guys had exclusive interviews. So much second hand news. Hell even a youtuber I'm subbed to with like 12 thousand subs got invites to all the press conferences and has exclusive interviews lined up (BGbrokengamez)
You would think being an all Sony site you guys could get interviews from Sony devs and Sony ppl for sure.
LOL really? Best ever? If you say so. I will say that the E3 as a whole, looking at all conferences together (which is what I do anyway because I'm a genuine GAMER and not a fan boy) it was definitely an amazing day. I don't think one specific publisher or platform knocked it out of the park completely but as a gamer that plays on everything there's an absolute ton to look forward to. I love it. Can't wait to play the great amount of xbox exclusives and man that game horizon looks incredible on ps4. And then all the multiplatform single player games I'll be playing on pc of course best place to play... but the sweet coop games like ghost recon the division and mann oh man battlefront I'll be getting on whatever platform my friends go with. Oh and can't forget for honor !!! Looks insane. Great time to be a gamer.
Speechless. Utterly and completely speechless. Ff7 has to be my all time favorite game when I think about it. I was around 12 years old when it came out and I fell in love.. literally played it for about 2 years mining every bit of content possible out of it and then have subsoquently played it evert year or two since...
I've been dreaming of this for so long. Nostalgia is on overdrive !!! Can't wait. I wonder how far along development is.
@get2sammyb really? I actually haven't seen that yet, weird. Awesome thanks for the link I'm going to give this a shot tonight.
It would be really cool if devs started officially supporting it and even using the TouchPad. That would be so badass. I might even consider making the perminent switch.
@get2sammyb hey I've asked this a few times haven't gotten an answer tho.. do you guys have reporters at e3 on the show floor doing interviews and/or going to the conferences this year?
I'm just wondering because it'd be cool to have a site that is focusing on interviewing just Playstation devs.
Ouu.. I really like this. I much rather the asymmetrical layout of the xbox controller, that said I definitely do love the ds4 as well. I haaaated the ds3. The analogs were just terrible imo. I might pick one of these up.
Does anyone know if the ds4 is compatible with pc? That's where I do most of my gaming these days besides exclusives from Sony or Microsoft. I actually wouldn't mind using the dual shock 4 now and then on pc if it's possible.
@get2sammyb hey do you guys have reporters on the floor at e3 that will be doing interviews and/or attending the conferences ? Just wondering, trying to figure out which sites I'm gonna be using during e3.

Re: Game of the Year: What's Your Favourite PlayStation Game of 2015?
@Matroska I honestly can't tell if you're trolling or just delusional. Fallout 4 less glitchy and filled with bugs than the witcher 3? That's actually so ridiculous it's funny.
Literally everything negative you said about the witcher can be applied to fallout 4. Lol wow.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This... Christmas?
Re: Site News: Push Square Users Vote The Witcher 3 as Game of the Year
Re: People Think Demon's Souls May Die Again on PS4
This would be so amazing. I really hope it's true.
Re: Rise of the Tomb Raider's Launch Trailer Readies You for PS4's Fall 2016 Release
Lol... what a butt hurt article. Too funny.
Re: The Witcher 3 Sweeps Golden Joystick Awards 2015
Yeah the witcher 3 was absolutely amazing and I agree with this up until now but what I don't get is why this happened so early, there are still some really big heavy hitters to release this year and I mean obviously fallout 4 has a real shot at dethroning the witcher. Why wouldn't they wait until the end of 2015 so they could include all games released this year?
Re: Soapbox: Metal Gear Solid V Has the Best Sandbox Mission Design I've Seen in a Game
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 83
Re: Fallout 4's Pip-Boy Collector's Edition Has Been Nuked From Production
Preordered my pc version day one. I just couldn't get this game on console. I'm still playing fallout new vegas on pc because of the amazing and numerous mods for it. I also preordered the new fallout anthology that comes with the mini nuke. Comes with a spot for your fallout 4 game as well. Oh man I can't wait to get it all
I know the fallout mods are coming to xbox one eventually. Hopefully they will being them to ps4 as well one day so no one misses out. You really should see the kinds of things they've done with 3 and new vegas.its incredible.
Re: This Licensed PS4 Controller Is for the PC Master Race
@BladeRider ahh ugh I didn't think of that. 30 fps with a mouse is not a good scene lol. Ya move the mouse and what feels like 3 seconds later you turn. So much for that idea. Isn't as noticeable with a controller for sure.
Re: This Licensed PS4 Controller Is for the PC Master Race
Nice ! Now I might actually want to play some destiny on ps4 again with that lol
Re: No Man's Sky Discovers a New Gameplay Trailer That's Short but Sweet
Lol it baffles me how many sites just pick up news that actually isn't news from another site and run with it. This trailer is a year old.

Re: Poll: Which Batman: Arkham Game Is the Best?
Haven't finished arkham knight yet, but from everything I have played of it.. I find it incredible. I loved all other arkham games as well, and I thought I was possibly going to feel some franchise fatigue especially because so many games ripping off the batman combat system lately... but nope. This game is amazing. Love the batmobile so much. Riddlers racetrack courses are so fun.
Re: Batman: Arkham Knight's Day One PS4 Patch Is Bigger Than Bane
Silky smooth... 30... fps? Bahahaha oh man that was a good one lol
Re: E3 2015: How Much of an RPG Is PS4's Horizon: Zero Dawn?
@get2sammyb that's great. I really enjoy the writing style on this site and I visit it at least once a day. I don't always comment, because my opinions a lot of time clash with a lot of your readers opinions. Mostly I think because I game on all platforms more often than just Playstation so I find I can see the positives and negatives more clearly of each platform including Playstation, maybe more so than someone who only games on Playstation. But that's no big deal to me I still love the articles.
Re: E3 2015: How Much of an RPG Is PS4's Horizon: Zero Dawn?
@ShogunRok makes total sense! This site just seems like it does so good. In my mind I put it up with a site like vg247 but I guess in reality that isn't the truth eh. Aw well I just hope you guys keep growing to be able to get some people or even hell just one person at e3 next year ! From what I see from other sites they have guys that go around doing interviews and taking in gameplay demos etc and then they release the content slowly over like the next week or more after e3. I always love reading that stuff cuz I can't be there myself lol :/
Re: E3 2015: How Much of an RPG Is PS4's Horizon: Zero Dawn?
It'd be awesome if you guys had exclusive interviews. So much second hand news. Hell even a youtuber I'm subbed to with like 12 thousand subs got invites to all the press conferences and has exclusive interviews lined up (BGbrokengamez)
You would think being an all Sony site you guys could get interviews from Sony devs and Sony ppl for sure.
Re: Reaction: Sony Delivers the Greatest E3 Press Conference of All Time
LOL really?
Re: E3 2015: Are We Dreaming? Final Fantasy VII Remake Is Coming to PS4
Re: E3 2015: Whoops, Bandai Namco Just Confirmed the Existence of Dark Souls III
So much for it showing up at Sony hahaha.. it's on the xbox one conference right now
Re: Xbox Expats May Prefer This Hori PS4 Controller
@Tasuki haha, indeed Bethesda in T-minus 45 mins !
Re: Xbox Expats May Prefer This Hori PS4 Controller
@get2sammyb really? I actually haven't seen that yet, weird. Awesome thanks for the link I'm going to give this a shot tonight.
It would be really cool if devs started officially supporting it and even using the TouchPad. That would be so badass. I might even consider making the perminent switch.
Re: Xbox Expats May Prefer This Hori PS4 Controller
@Tasuki yeah I figured you'd need to plug it in. Hmm I wonder if it works with the witcher. I think I'll try it out tn! Thanks.
Re: Guide: What Time Are Sony, Bethesda, EA, Ubisoft, and Square Enix's E3 2015 Press Conferences?
@get2sammyb hey I've asked this a few times haven't gotten an answer tho.. do you guys have reporters at e3 on the show floor doing interviews and/or going to the conferences this year?
I'm just wondering because it'd be cool to have a site that is focusing on interviewing just Playstation devs.
Re: Xbox Expats May Prefer This Hori PS4 Controller
Re: E3 2015: Loading Human Shoots for the Stars on Project Morpheus
@get2sammyb hey do you guys have reporters on the floor at e3 that will be doing interviews and/or attending the conferences ? Just wondering, trying to figure out which sites I'm gonna be using during e3.
