I hope the race becomes neck & neck for the rest of the xb1 and ps4s life cycle. Gamers are the ones who benefit from the stiff competition! Especially gamers like me who genuinely play both consoles on a regular basis. I love the way the ps4 exclusives are shaping up this year but I think xbox might pull out some pretty awesome games this year as well. I keep hearing how bad 2014 was for gaming but personally I had a blast, tons of good games that I loved and this year looks even better !

@arnoldlayne83 I've got to agree with you on that. The game absolutely lacked way too much content and not only that they're selling the expansion packs for 20 dollars a piece! That's actually disgusting. I mean even call of duty, the cash cow of all cash cows sells their individual dlc for 10 dollars... I've boycotted destiny's dlc for sure. It says something for sure if I won't buy it lol because I buy pretty much every game and I enjoyed destiny a lot but I think they got way too greedy for their own good.

Lol yeah except this list doesn't have p.t as a silver award for game of the year lol which beat dragon age..(never gonna let you live that one down) hahaha and I'm happy to see dragon age take the top spot where it rightfully belongs

As for the guys hating on destiny.. I don't get it personally. I understand it didn't exactly live upto the hype... but let's be honest... no game could ever live up to the hype that was surrounding that game. I think back about all the time I spent playing that game with my friends and I realize I really did have a lot of fun with that game while it lasted. Sure it started to get really repetitive and tedious after a while but for that first month or so it was great fun.

@DrJoeystein yeah when I played it, I was after hearing over and over that it was like the creepiest thing ever and so when I put it on I was moving at a snails pace practically lol because I was so tense but I ended up being underwhelmed because of how much I had been hyped up for it by other people. I hate when that happens! It's why I love playing my games before even reading a review or anything if I can. I find it the best possible way to get a complete honest idea if a game is for me or not.

@ShogunRok yes, it's plain and simple.. but that doesn't make it any less dumb lol. I guess P.T could have won if you made a demos of the year category.. but I mean come on. I'm fully aware some of 2014 wasn't as great as some had hoped it to be, but to give P.T your sites silver award for game of the year pretty much is just giving a middle finger to the countless other actual games that deserve attention and praise. Not only that, but in my opinion it kind of makes the site look silly.. obviously that's just my opinion though. Something tells me you won't find P. T be up for game of the year anywhere else on the planet. But yeah, can't wait to see what wins gold lol.

@Zep_Fan_81 I know eh! so many different and beautiful environments to just get lost in. I'm level 14 with my human female mage that looks identical to denerys targeryn from game of thrones hahah it's awesome. There's a tutorial of sorts on the net somewhere to do it.

But yeah I started off flirting with like every character in the game haha but as the game went on and I learned their personalities more I've started trying to hook up with Sera the most lol she's hilarious

100 hours? Lol I'm like 60 hours in and literally nowhere near finishing haha. I love rpgs though and try to do as much possible side stuff as I can.

@Gamer83 totally agree man! I'm so lucky that all my gaming is being done on my Xbox one this holiday lol.. I won't be back on my ps4 til bloodborne and the order. Xbox went down xmas eve and since then it's been up for me. I can only hope to god psn gets its stuff together by the time those games come out cuz I'm super pumped for both.

This documentary made me so happy. Awesome hour of watching I loved it. ND are so awesome.

Well I WOULD be playing the early access to the halo 5 guardians beta because I got my codes sent to me yesterday but I'm away at work until Monday and the early access only lasts til Sunday :/ really sucks ! I even have my console with me in the hotel but 12 hour night shifts just don't go together very well with gaming lol

Ugh I'm out of town at work til the 21st so I've had to put my play through of dragon age inquisition on the back burner but I did bring my vita with me and I'm enjoying a whole slew of backlog games I have on there.

On another note I can't believe how many of my other favorite gaming sites have picked up pushsquares article about the value of ps+ from what I've seen so far it's been polygon, vg247 and joystiq. It's awesome ! Hope it brings you guys lots of extra traffic.

@DrClayman that actually sounds awesome. Especially with the huge amount of movies/shows song owns the rights to. That being said though they already have crackle which is pretty cool for a free service.

That's pretty badass. Makes you wonder how they make money on a service like that. Either way I'm glad it's there ! Was playing some injustice and secret ponchos just yesterday. I'm probably one of the few people who are glad the ps4 freebies are usually indies aside from injustice this month.. my reason being I'm pretty hard core when it comes to buying games. I buy 99% AAA games on release day or week and I play almost every genre of games.. but I never used to buy indies. The odd one sure but that was it. I love getting these games that I wouldn't normally play because I've been pleasantly surprised so many times. If they were just releasing older AAA games chances are I would already own them.. like injustice for example. I own it on 360 and ps3 already. Anyway I just hope they keep up the great work on that front.

@eliotgballade lol yeah really though that's how some people are reacting it scares the crap out of them. Playstation is in a great position especially with Sony finally realizing that the Playstation brand is pretty much their best asset. It's awesome to see them finally acknowledging it. We're going to see some great things with them doubling down on the brand and shifting more money their way. I can't wait for project morpheus.. and I really believe they're going to go for it. Did anyone else watch the panel on VR at Playstation experience ? Got me so damn excited.

@freaksloan you're missing out man! At the moment I play my Xbox one more than my ps4. I kind of go back and forth. In the new year I'll definitely be playing my ps4 more but personally I find the xbox one to have a much better operating system and for everything I do with my consoles other than gaming xbox is my goto console. I wish Sony would do an overhaul on their OS so bad.

@ZeD not really sure what you mean by "numerous" price cuts lol.. they stopped selling kinect with the xbox one and so the kinectless version started selling at 399 instead of 499 while the kinect version still sold for 499... and then last month they had their first official price cut and a temporary one at that.. it ends in January. So please.. enough with the exaggerating.

It seems xbox one also won in UK last month as well. According to Microsoft at least.

It was pretty cool.. aside from the part where Nathan drake fell through the world lol. Unfortunately the stream wasn't the highest quality on twitch so I couldn't really tell how good the graphics were.

Man I sat up in my chair when I saw the ff7 logo I thought they were remaking it I almost shat myself lol.. ugh it crushed me to see it only be a port. :/ it's probably my favorite game ever made so I've been hoping for a remake for a long time.

@ReigningSemtex they actually added a coop mode and all new achievements etc for free last month ! Check it out.

Oh also as for the article talking about the titan fall "ultra" edition or whatever... that was recently released on pc and Xbox one. It comes with all the games dlc so I'm guessing if they were going to release it on ps4 it would have been announced.. but I guess you never know.

I dont know about anyone else but I could definitely watch the exact same story made into film. I think the story was absolutely perfect, I wouldn't change a thing.

About the whole symmetrical/asymmetrical analogs is it weird that I don't notice any difference? I don't know maybe it's because I've been switching between xbox and Playstation controllers on a pretty much daily basis for years but both setups feel perfect to me. I've gotta say the ds3 did sometimes annoy me with how close they were together but that has been fixed and then some.

Far cry 4. Nuff said. I bought every AAA release this month but I can't play anything but far cry.. I find it absolutely incredible.

@get2sammyb lol yeah I fail to see how they're acting like that.. or any way to be honest lol. They're just making ads and promoting their product like any company does.... but yeah the article mentions far cry 4.. I am in awe of this game. It's probably my favorite game this year and I'm only like 10 hours in... and the thing is I know it's very very similar to far cry 3 but I don't know just something about the formula this game uses and the way they use it... I think it's absolutely incredible. I'm having so much fun doing all the side stuff I've barely even scraped the main story, though that has been pretty awesome so far as well! And the whole coop fortress takedown thing is just genius. So much chaos, so much fun ! One riding in on an elephant another in the air using the one man chopper reigning down hell fire with the grenade launcher hahahaha.. just..so...good.

In my opinion a little less patting themselves on the back and a little more work on the places they're lacking would be nice! It has been a pretty good year though. I've really enjoyed games from both camps. Can't wait for bloodborne tho!

I've kind of accepted defeat. I was trying to beat all the games as they came out so I could keep playing all the new ones but I've just been too busy and fallen behind.. I still need to beat sunset overdrive, and lords of the fallen. I'm just finishing up the cod advanced warfare campaign this weekend and I have a lot of friends playing it as well and we formed a clan so that's taking up a bunch of time as well. The multiplayer and coop modes are flat out awesome. I was so bored with call of duty I probably put about 10 hours into ghosts.. but this game has really brought me back into the world of twitch based multiplayer

so yeah trying to get as much as I can done before assassins creed unity and halo master chief on Tuesday... actually no I live in Canada and Tuesday is rememberance day so I'm guessing I won't get to buy them until Wednesday.

Then the following week is going to be super expensive for me. Gta 5, far cry 4 and dragon age ! 3 of my most anticipated games on one day. It's gamer heaven.

Lol I highly doubt Sony could "force" developers/publishers to support share play

It was easily on my top 5 games of last Gen and I've been itching to play through the campaign again so this just gives me that excuse ! And with a whole new 1000 gamerscore to add to my collection as well

@Splat what!!! Lol wow. It's crazy how people can have such different experiences lol. I found sleeping dogs to be quite a few steps behind on controls.. especially when it comes to driving. But yeah to each their own right !

@get2sammyb what? You really didn't like the controls for gta 5 on last Gen? I found they did such an amazing job, especially compared to previous games... that being said, this looks to be on a whole other level.

I was already rebuying this but this just got me so excited.. I just keep picturing playing gta online deathmatches etc in fps mode like cod lol.. it gives me a nerdgasm Hahaha. So many games to play this month it sucks because I'm definitely not going to be able to play them all this month(though I am still buying them lol)

@Bad-MuthaAdebis it's a shame. It's so hard for new IP to do well these days... and people complain about sequel after sequel yet they're not willing to take a leap and try something new.

@Bad-MuthaAdebis what's even crazier is how low lords of the fallen debuted in UK. I don't think it even cracked the top 40. That's pretty wild for a new game... one that's actually quite good too for a new IP.

My weekend is consisting of lords of the fallen, and sunset overdrive. I am experiencing such a weird thing with lords of the fallen... It's making me insanely frustrated on a constant basis, yet I keep coming back for more.. and every time my character gets a little stronger or I push a little further I get this awesome feeling. It just sucks having to deal with the frustration because let me tell you.. it's bad lol. I almost threw my controller one time. I guess this is that feeling that people who play souls say they get.. I can understand now why it's so addictive.. but there's no way that this is THAT much easier than souls, is there?

On another note.. wow. I am blown away at these sales. I'm really psyched for Sony I hope they continue this run to show the world console gaming ain't going nowhere now we just need the xbox one to really make a big push to get upto 10 mill at least. The closer the race, the better it is for all of us! Even if you don't own an xbox one... but if you're able, you most definitely should! Sunset overdrive is amazing. God I can't wait til next year tho when Sony starts releasing some big hitter exclusives.

@dire_distortion lol did you really say ps+ is murdering games with gold? Haha.. yeah I would argue both are pretty lame right now. At least you get to keep the 360 games though. And the fact that Sony started charging for online on ps4 and it hasn't improved in the slightest (could even go as far as saying it's been worse) doesn't bode well for ps+ either. I've actually stopped bothering with the free ps4 games even though I'm a ps+ member. I really only use it for vita games these days.

If they did a true remaster of games like San Andreas and vice city with updated engine, graphics the whole shabang I would definitely be down for that. I think that would be amazing.

On another note, how weird is it that the 360 got a HD update of San Andreas and the ps3 didn't.

@Dual-shock-spok I know eh! I couldn't imagine not owning both, they both have awesome features and I really think the exclusive games are just going to keep coming. Something tells me Microsoft is going to make a much harder push in that area this gen which is awesome, it will only make Sony push harder and we will end up with some amazing games. I'm so pumped for quantum break and bloodborne as well. Would like to see some more from the order. It looks gorgeous I just don't really know what the gameplay is going to be like yet

Honestly I think what happened is if you remember correctly in the early going, October was absolutely jam packed with game releases like no month I've seen in a long time, and then games started getting delayed and pushed back to the next month, but I feel like so many pubs had the same idea that they all ended up in Nov instead of Oct lol. In October alone I've bought quite a few games still Tho.. the evil within, driveclub, walking dead season 2, sunset overdrive, and lords of the fallen... I think that's all but I might be missing one. November is going to be just as or more expensive for me lol because I'm getting every single AAA game launching next month. Can't wait !! Hope I can get sunset and lords finished up in time !

BTW I know it's a ps site but if any of you do have an xbox as well, I fully recommend sunset.. it is so damn good.

Wow. I was under the impression that new raids would be free. This is such a joke. Everything about destiny's structure is just wrong wrong wrong. It's totally just designed to be a cash cow and that's about it. Makes me really sad because I actually enjoyed the game so much in the early going. But since I've been doing the exact same things over and over for the last month it's left me pretty bitter about it all. I've been stuck at level 27 for God knows how long, and only got my first primary weapon that's better than rare last week. I had enough for that exotic auto rifle.
