@Munkyknuts yeah I think a great example of what happens when competition isn't at its peak is the launch of the ps3 and the launch of the xbox one. In both cases Sony and Microsoft were far too cocky believing that they were in a dominant position and didn't need to worry about the competition, and we have seen just how great competition can be by correcting the course of those consoles. Do we really think xbox would have reversed all those policies if Sony hadn't wiped the floor with them at e3? No. Do we really think Sony would have dropped the price of the ps3 and given us ps+ if the Xbox 360 wasn't doing so great early on? I mean it's just obvious. But yeah that's all I'm gonna say on the subject. I can't keep letting people's crazy opinions upset me hahah.

One word. DIABLO. Haha.. I feel so lucky to be a person who has never in his life played a Diablo game until this Tuesday past. I conned my wife into starting the game with me because I heard it was much more fun playing coop and the two of us have just been absolutely loving it! She can't seem to master having to use 2 analog sticks at once, so this game is perfect for her.. and I've gotta say she's actually quite good. so that's my gaming for the weekend and foreseeable future ! After Tuesday though it will be rotating between that and metro redux!

What your comment does tell me though is that you obviously have not played the great multiplayer games in a long time because your opinion of them are so completely incorrect as to what the multiplayer gaming space is like it's crazy. I've met so many awesome guys and girls over multiplayer games it's crazy, some of which I've been gaming with since 2006. Of course there is always going to be some bad apples.. but in general I've met so many kind, cool people while playing online and I wouldn't trade it for anything.

Like I said there were 2 or 3 weeks where there was some short outages.. none of which have affected me though. Obviously neither network is immune to service interruptions... but as a track record psn has been much worse than xbox. It has been great for me with my ps4 though, I've really enjoyed the improvements they've made.

I just don't understand why people take offense when you bring up something being better on a different system.. it's like it hurts their feelings lol. Pretty much every month they've added new features to the console. Trophies is a perfect example for the ps4. I hate that you have to completely leave your game, go into trophies find the game and go through them... it's super annoying.
I totally am a side quest guy. Love getting as much done as possible before going to far into the main story. I'm really excited for dragon age! I thought they said 120 hours though for the full play through.. wow 200 is quite a bit more.

People blow my mind! Do they not realize that Sony practically invented this business practice? From the days of ps1 all the way through from keeping games off of dreamcast etc paying for exclusive rights to games like gta and mgs in the past and EA franchises.. just because they haven't been doing this lately people seem to forget. This is a console WAR ladies and gentlemen and Microsoft are pulling out all the stops.. and whether people that seem to have some sort of creepy personal attachment to Sony want to admit it or not, Microsoft has a ton of awesome games coming out exclusively on their platform and are launching in a lot of new territories in September.. come December I guarantee this console war is A LOT closer. The more competition the better for gamers. I will not be missing any exclusives on either side so I'm all good

Which means more customers which means the studios will have more confidence in the brand which means bigger budgets for the games etc etc... the more people that own both the Xbox one and ps4 the better it is for gaming.

I think this could be a really amazing movie.. I've been thinking on who would be awesome to play Joel and I think josh Brolin would be amazing playing the part. He just seems perfect to me.
@banacheck I don't really see it that way, as xbox has forza horizon 2 which looks incredible, quantum break, halo (both halo 5 and the master chief collection) sunset overdrive, Project spark, phantom dust, crackdown...and well I'd say gears of war and uncharted 4 are both a ways off. I think both platforms have some really great exclusive IP for the future and to just say Sony wins is just not very objective.
I'm super excited for gamescom. I think this year is actually going to be bigger than people realize. To be honest though I'm a little more excited for xboxs conference than Sonys.. mainly because of quantum break having their big reveal during it and also because I'm hoping to see at least a teaser trailer for the new gears of war game that will give us at least some clue as to what direction they're taking the franchise in. I've absolutely loved gears over the years aside from the most recent game, judgement. I'm sure Sony is going to have a great show as well, hopefully we see some uncharted and possibly some new exclusive that hasn't been announced yet.
You guys all really liked sleeping dogs better than gta5 ? Hmm.. maybe I'll have to take another look at this game. To me grand theft auto 5 was an absolute amazing accomplishment, especially compared to 4. They stepped up practically every where that 4 was lacking. I loved it.. I only played sleeping dogs for about an hour or two, but I spoiled the game by buying an outfit that had a weapon before weapons were supposed to be introduced into the game and it just got **** from then on and ended up just not going back... I might play it from the start again see what it's all about.
@FullbringIchigo you're not seeing the point. "It's forcing people to buy a system before they want to" yes exactly. It's not forcing, but that's the entire point.. to get people to adopt the new systems. Every publisher are doing this in one way or another.. ubisoft just took a different route. The faster people adopt the new systems, the faster the publishers will have to stop shelling out all this extra money to develop for upwards of 6 platforms and can start putting extra resources into making next gen games really shine. I think it's great and I can't wait to pick up unity on day one.. when we find out more about ac rogue, then I'll decide if I'll be picking that one up as well.. as for guys saying "this interests me more than unity" I don't really understand that because we really know next to nothing about the story or characters. I guess they mean the naval battles. I'm glad they're breaking it up with unity they're learning how to adapt to things getting stale in a franchise that comes out yearly.
@FullbringIchigo how is it them being greedy? I think if anything its fan service and great for next gen adopters. People like me who bought our next gen consoles day one or people who have made the switch are hoping for something more than what we've been getting, and ubisoft is bringing it to us with unity. If they had of just made the same game cross gen again, we'd be getting the same old thing. It's not until games are made from the ground up for these new consoles that they are actually starting to look next gen.
And this way the people who haven't adopted the new consoles yet still get a great new assasins creed game to play with more great naval combat from 4.
@SimonAdebisi you kind of showed why it's still reasonable to pick up the game at launch, because you're right about a month in you will definitely see these people start to flock to the tower to try to get a raiding party together... but if you wait that long to pick it up you'll still have to beat the entire game and level your character upto 20 which I'm sure will probably take quite a bit of time.. so really I think it's absolutely nothing to worry about.. it's crazy to all of a sudden just decide to boycott a game like some people here pretty much are just because of missions you can do once the entire campaign is finished.. really the way I look at it is that it's bonus content for people who actually want to put the work in to get these things going as they're not going to be for the casual gamer... for one the enemies are going to be very difficult, two there are no way points so you have to figure out navigation all on your own, and 3 like you pointed out they're upwards of 3+ hours.. so it's not like this is a mode that is for everyday casual player anyway.. I'm sure if people are up for doing something like this that the tower will be a perfect spot to recruit the players needed. Just my opinion !

Just beat it! Started the left behind dlc, and I'm pretty excited because I haven't played it yet ! This was my second time around beating tlou though... I've gotta say man that 60 fps made all the difference in the world.
Honestly I think it has some pretty good value... I mean if you pay for the service, then buy a couple of their new games that you were going to anyway like dragon age battlefield and NHL for me.. then the service ends up paying for itself with the discounts. It's easy to see big Sony fans automatically knocking this because they're not getting it, but I think it has some real value... I think personally for me it would be a lot more appealing if it were coming from another publisher like ubisoft.. but either way I'm going to think about getting this service... it would be pretty cool to play dragon age 5 days early! And 30 bucks for a year is just pocket change anyway so why not.
I was always looking forward to this game, but after spending much time with the beta I am absolutely psyched to get the full game in my hands. I can't believe how much content is in the beta, and it's not more than a tiny sliver of the full game. My 2 friends and I beat borderlands 2 from start to finish together and we had a blast, so I'm just imagining how much fun were going to have with this game. Attention to detail is great, graphics are great, game play is lots of fun, love all the skill progressions and gear choices given the list goes on. The only thing I wish there was more of is loot. But maybe it's just not as much because it's a beta. Hopefully the full game ends up with much more loot crates and weapon crates!

Honestly the article was fine without trying to take a jab at Xbox ones exclusive lineup this year... which frankly is sizing up to be quite a bit better. Don't get me wrong, I love my ps4 but with developers coming out to say that the Xbox one will have parity with ps4 going forward such as destiny now being upgraded to 1080p, I think Sony really needs to step it up in the exclusive department.
It was much easier to skate by when all the 3rd party games were performing better on the ps4.

People blow my mind! Do they not realize that Sony practically invented this business practice? From the days of ps1 all the way through from keeping games off of dreamcast etc paying for exclusive rights to games like gta and mgs in the past and EA franchises.. just because they haven't been doing this lately people seem to forget. This is a console WAR ladies and gentlemen and Microsoft are pulling out all the stops.. and whether people that seem to have some sort of creepy personal attachment to Sony want to admit it or not, Microsoft has a ton of awesome games coming out exclusively on their platform and are launching in a lot of new territories in September.. come December I guarantee this console war is A LOT closer. The more competition the better for gamers. I will not be missing any exclusives on either side so I'm all good

I can't believe all the Sony fan boys with blinders on... so Microsoft is in second place and they're trying to bring appeal to their console and buying exclusivity on their platform from third party publishers.... I wonder where they got that move? Sony has been doing this since the days of Playstation 1 from keeping games off of dream cast with EA franchises like gta mgs the list just goes on and on.. just because they haven't been doing much of it lately people's memories seem to just lapse. They invented this business practice. .. now it's not to say that I think it's a very good thing but face it this is the console wars... if you want to play all the games get both consoles like gamers like me do. I'd never limit myself to one platform. Sorry cry babies this is the industry we love for better or worse it creates buzz.

@N711 I wouldn't mind at all since I own the ps4 as well lol.. that's what I'm getting at. I do think it's a weird choice to buy for Microsoft though.. a game like evolve I would think makes more sense to buy.

@N711 I think it's good just for the fact that more people will be buying xbox ones than before the announcement. Which means more customers which means the studios will have more confidence in the brand which means bigger budgets for the games etc etc... the more people that own both the Xbox one and ps4 the better it is for gaming.

@banacheck honestly what the hell are you even talking about? Lost millions? People are so caught up in the ps4 vs xbox bull that they forget that the Xbox one is selling way better than the 360 did and they're yet to launch in all these regions which is coming next month. Blows my mind how badly the blinders are on people's eyes. The best thing for gaming is that BOTH consoles sell amazing.

Haha oh man that sucks for those of you who don't have an Xbox one.. you can play it down all you like but the tomb raider reboot was one of the best games of the year last year... and I'm sure cd are working at improving this one any way they can... can't believe Microsoft did this haha.. I think it's cool. They're definitely not taking the fight sitting down that's for sure.

@banacheck I don't really see it that way, as xbox has forza horizon 2 which looks incredible, quantum break, halo (both halo 5 and the master chief collection) sunset overdrive, Project spark, phantom dust, crackdown...and well I'd say gears of war and uncharted 4 are both a ways off. I think both platforms have some really great exclusive IP for the future and to just say Sony wins is just not very objective.

I'm super excited for gamescom. I think this year is actually going to be bigger than people realize. To be honest though I'm a little more excited for xboxs conference than Sonys.. mainly because of quantum break having their big reveal during it and also because I'm hoping to see at least a teaser trailer for the new gears of war game that will give us at least some clue as to what direction they're taking the franchise in. I've absolutely loved gears over the years aside from the most recent game, judgement. I'm sure Sony is going to have a great show as well, hopefully we see some uncharted and possibly some new exclusive that hasn't been announced yet.

You guys all really liked sleeping dogs better than gta5 ? Hmm.. maybe I'll have to take another look at this game. To me grand theft auto 5 was an absolute amazing accomplishment, especially compared to 4. They stepped up practically every where that 4 was lacking. I loved it.. I only played sleeping dogs for about an hour or two, but I spoiled the game by buying an outfit that had a weapon before weapons were supposed to be introduced into the game and it just got **** from then on and ended up just not going back... I might play it from the start again see what it's all about.

@FullbringIchigo you're not seeing the point. "It's forcing people to buy a system before they want to" yes exactly. It's not forcing, but that's the entire point.. to get people to adopt the new systems. Every publisher are doing this in one way or another.. ubisoft just took a different route. The faster people adopt the new systems, the faster the publishers will have to stop shelling out all this extra money to develop for upwards of 6 platforms and can start putting extra resources into making next gen games really shine. I think it's great and I can't wait to pick up unity on day one.. when we find out more about ac rogue, then I'll decide if I'll be picking that one up as well.. as for guys saying "this interests me more than unity" I don't really understand that because we really know next to nothing about the story or characters. I guess they mean the naval battles. I'm glad they're breaking it up with unity they're learning how to adapt to things getting stale in a franchise that comes out yearly.

@FullbringIchigo how is it them being greedy? I think if anything its fan service and great for next gen adopters. People like me who bought our next gen consoles day one or people who have made the switch are hoping for something more than what we've been getting, and ubisoft is bringing it to us with unity. If they had of just made the same game cross gen again, we'd be getting the same old thing. It's not until games are made from the ground up for these new consoles that they are actually starting to look next gen.
And this way the people who haven't adopted the new consoles yet still get a great new assasins creed game to play with more great naval combat from 4.

@SimonAdebisi you kind of showed why it's still reasonable to pick up the game at launch, because you're right about a month in you will definitely see these people start to flock to the tower to try to get a raiding party together... but if you wait that long to pick it up you'll still have to beat the entire game and level your character upto 20 which I'm sure will probably take quite a bit of time.. so really I think it's absolutely nothing to worry about.. it's crazy to all of a sudden just decide to boycott a game like some people here pretty much are just because of missions you can do once the entire campaign is finished.. really the way I look at it is that it's bonus content for people who actually want to put the work in to get these things going as they're not going to be for the casual gamer... for one the enemies are going to be very difficult, two there are no way points so you have to figure out navigation all on your own, and 3 like you pointed out they're upwards of 3+ hours.. so it's not like this is a mode that is for everyday casual player anyway.. I'm sure if people are up for doing something like this that the tower will be a perfect spot to recruit the players needed. Just my opinion !

Really people ? Lol.. I swear gamers are the worst for doomsday scenarios ever. Oh that's it preorder canceled ! Haha.. first of all these are AFTER you beat the game.. for people who want something challenging to do once the game is finished... secondly, since I'm sure MOST people are in the same boat, not being able to call upon 5 friends at once that the tower will become an integral part to getting these raids going. Lots of people will go there to find people to make up a party in order to take down one of these raids... God you people need to learn to relax lol... oh and to the guy who said war frame is better than destiny... jaw drops sorry guys just gotta call it like I sees it

Just beat it! Started the left behind dlc, and I'm pretty excited because I haven't played it yet ! This was my second time around beating tlou though... I've gotta say man that 60 fps made all the difference in the world.

Honestly I think it has some pretty good value... I mean if you pay for the service, then buy a couple of their new games that you were going to anyway like dragon age battlefield and NHL for me.. then the service ends up paying for itself with the discounts. It's easy to see big Sony fans automatically knocking this because they're not getting it, but I think it has some real value... I think personally for me it would be a lot more appealing if it were coming from another publisher like ubisoft.. but either way I'm going to think about getting this service... it would be pretty cool to play dragon age 5 days early! And 30 bucks for a year is just pocket change anyway so why not.

I was always looking forward to this game, but after spending much time with the beta I am absolutely psyched to get the full game in my hands. I can't believe how much content is in the beta, and it's not more than a tiny sliver of the full game. My 2 friends and I beat borderlands 2 from start to finish together and we had a blast, so I'm just imagining how much fun were going to have with this game. Attention to detail is great, graphics are great, game play is lots of fun, love all the skill progressions and gear choices given the list goes on. The only thing I wish there was more of is loot. But maybe it's just not as much because it's a beta. Hopefully the full game ends up with much more loot crates and weapon crates!

Honestly the article was fine without trying to take a jab at Xbox ones exclusive lineup this year... which frankly is sizing up to be quite a bit better. Don't get me wrong, I love my ps4 but with developers coming out to say that the Xbox one will have parity with ps4 going forward such as destiny now being upgraded to 1080p, I think Sony really needs to step it up in the exclusive department.
It was much easier to skate by when all the 3rd party games were performing better on the ps4.
