You'll need to set aside a bit of time before booting up Batman: Arkham Knight on the PlayStation 4 next week, as the game will launch alongside a hefty day one patch. Weighing in at around 3.5GB, the v1.01 update lists improved performance and stability fixes among its most notable tweaks. However, there are a few new features, too – including a skin based on the original Batsuit.
These tweaks may be welcome, but according to a Digital Foundry hands-on with debug code – presumably lacking the day one patch – this title already runs like butter, sitting at a silky smooth 30 frames-per-second even under intense pressure. There are very rare drops according to the site, but it sounds like Rocksteady has served up something of a technical tour-de-force here.
