Re: PSN Down as Sony's Servers Feel PS4 Firmware Update 2.00 Strain

mitcHELLspawn

@Munkyknuts haha I got an email from lootcrate last month with a coupon for them so I figured why not! (Ps lootcrate is awesome also) and they came yesterday. Pretty much it's just a set of pads that go on both sides of your controller. It's so comfortable and keeps the controller from getting slippery if your hands sweat etc

Re: PSN Down as Sony's Servers Feel PS4 Firmware Update 2.00 Strain

mitcHELLspawn

It baffles me when I go on other sites and I see Sony fans trying to defend psn. I'm sorry but it's just ridiculous. If psn had of stayed free this generation, then okay fine its reasonable that psn would not be top quality when comparing to the competition.. but Sony were the ones who said they are doing this to improve pan and it has been just plain bad. When you pay for a service, it should never have these sorts of problems, and if it does, there should be reimbursement. I was really looking forward to playing some share play with my friend who doesn't have all the games I have and now we're stuck not even being able to connect. As if we didnt have to wait long enough for the 2.0 update. What a joke.

Re: PS4 RPG The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt's Intro Spreads Its Wings

mitcHELLspawn

@Subie98 lol.. you think? Man shadow of mordor was a good game and all don't get me wrong. .. but cd projekt red and the witcher series is on a wholeeeeee other level. Don't know if you've played the other ones but the witcher 2 especially was incredible. It was remade for 360 if you have one.

Re: Talking Point: Do You Ever Stump Up for Season Passes?

mitcHELLspawn

You know what? I actually never thought about who actually buys season passes.. I mean I know lots of people do with call of duty and the like because it adds map packs and stuff for multiplayer and I know they probably do real well, but I wonder if it's the same for single player games. I rarely ever buy season passes even on games I really loved.

Thinking about it now I know I've bought a few.. bioshock infinite and I didn't even play the last piece of dlc yet, then there's walking dead but I don't put that in the same category because really it's just the actual game your paying for and getting a small discount, and besides that I don't think I've ever paid for another one except for the day shadow of mordor came out I bought that one and it was pretty much just an impulse buy.

It's crazy to think how expensive these things are, being around half the price of the game and it takes the developers just a small fraction of the development time that the original game takes so for them I understand it really makes sense... but I'm not so sure it makes as much sense from a consumers standpoint. The devs/pubs must be selling a lot of them though because they are getting more and more popular..

I was going to get the destiny one but honestly I'm kind of just in the mindset of boycotting that crap because of how much content was stripped from the main game to be sold off as dlc. It's sad.

Re: Interview: Will Tom Clancy's The Division Deliver on the PS4?

mitcHELLspawn

@Godsire- totally disagree. This game has the most potential of practically any next gen game that's been announced. There's an insane amount of talent at massive, and everything I've seen about the engine this game is running on makes the possibilities practically endless. Can't wait to get a release date.

Re: Soapbox: Why Are We Arguing Over Holiday Exclusives When PS2's First Year Offering Will Forever Rule the Roost?

mitcHELLspawn

For me, personally.. I don't understand how someone can call this first year of ps4 and Xbox one a bad year... right now I have about 30 xbox one games and around 15 ps4 games and I can honestly say I think there has been an amazing amount of good and even great games exclusive and otherwise. Obviously there will always be people who want more but for a first year I think it's been spectacular, and it's far from over with some of my most anticipated games yet to come out this year

Re: Pachter: PS4's American Winning Streak Ended in September

mitcHELLspawn

@Gamer83 hahaha yeah.. honestly the only people who really care which console sold more on what month are the gamers(fan boys) that like to use it as ammunition in a "my console is better than your console" war lol. It's all good though I'm just here chillin with my ps4 and Xbox one loving life. Haha I got sleeping dogs and the evil within first thing tomorrow and it's great haha.

Re: Pachter: PS4's American Winning Streak Ended in September

mitcHELLspawn

@kdognumba1 except xbox one sold 100k in China in one week and all indications are that it did better in UK last month as well.. so yeah there's that.

But again, I don't understand why even a big Sony fan cares if xbox sells more.. especially with how long the ps4 has out sold xbox one up until now... xbox one starting to do better will do nothing but good things for Playstation as it will keep Sony from being complacent and keep going hard.

Re: Pachter: PS4's American Winning Streak Ended in September

mitcHELLspawn

Something tells me that if this is true, it's by less than what he stated. Can't see them outselling them by 75k. . Maybe around 10? I know xbox beat ps4 in the UK last month so I guess it's possible. Something tells me October is going to be really close as well with forza releasing at the very end of Sept and sunset overdrive releasing at the end of the month..

Trust me it's a good thing, even if you're a complete Sony fan. The best thing for gaming is for the 2 consoles to go back and forth the whole gen.

Re: Feature: Why Do Next-Gen Games Keep Disappointing?

mitcHELLspawn

@Demi_God wow, take off the tinfoil hat dude. Lol just because someone or lots of people disagree with your point of view doesn't make them fan boys. And as for you saying sites like ign are biased towards xbox, I see the exact opposite actually.. with the sites having to write like 5 articles each time a certain game has a lower resolution on xbox.

Edit: oh god after reading some of your comments I see you just hate Microsoft lol. So you think anything that reviews a Playstation game bad is a xbox fan boy. Drive club sucks, get over it. There's no "agenda" lmao

"I believe the gaming industry would be better if Microsoft weren't in it" paraphrasing of course but yeah.. you should probably reflect a bit on why you think everyone who disagrees with you is a fan boy.. maybe you'll finally find the real fan boy inside of you lol.

Re: Feature: Why Do Next-Gen Games Keep Disappointing?

mitcHELLspawn

@Jaz007 what do you mean by arkham level game? You mean like a game of that caliber? I would argue that there is a few (potential at least) with far cry 4, dragon age inquisition and I would also argue that there already has been one released , shadow of mordor.

Re: Feature: Why Do Next-Gen Games Keep Disappointing?

mitcHELLspawn

I think the article makes some great points but at the same time I feel like gaming has never been stronger than it is right now. We've seen a lot of releases this year with plenty still coming. Personally I've had both the ps4 and Xbox one since launch and I haven't been dissapointed at all! There have been some games that haven't been as good as I had hoped, but all in all I've really enjoyed the first year of these consoles and looking ahead next year is starting with a bang as well with games like the Witcher 3 and evolve.

I just go with the flow, buying games as they come out, not really paying much attention to hype or reviews and then I get to find out for myself if it's for me or not. If it isn't, it goes back up on the shelf, if it is I play the crap out of it and have a blast doing it. For example, last week I picked up alien isolation, the week before was sherlock holmes, shadow of mordor and forza horizon 2, next week I'm grabbing sleeping dogs and the evil within (one I'm actually excited for)

I understand not everyone has the luxury to be able to do this and that's why reviews and watching gameplay streams etc are essential but I think it's much easier to fall into the hype trains this way.

Re: Game of the Month: September 2014 - Destiny

mitcHELLspawn

So yeah... destiny. Opinions on this game are so polarized it's crazy. I haven't seen a game that split public opinion like this in a long time. I've got to admit when I started playing it I was having a blast. The campaign was really light on any kind of story whatsoever, but I was playing it coop so we weren't really focusing on it that much anyway. We were just having fun killing aliens.

The biggest problem with destiny for me is just that I feel we were promised so so SO much more than what was delivered, and that's why so many people (including myself); feel sorta cheated. There just isn't enough content there to keep people coming back in my opinion.

My character is level 27 and I had a blast getting up there, but I haven't played destiny in going on 3 weeks now.. and I highly doubt I will be playing it for quite a while. I'm definitely not buying the expansions until I find out from other people just how much content is in them.

Once shadow of mordor and forza horizon 2 came out, that was it for me... I had no desire at all to go back. Both of those games are great. It's really hard for me to say which one deserves game of the month.

Re: Surprise, Surprise! PS4's Likely Getting a Grand Theft Auto V Bundle

mitcHELLspawn

As silly as it may seem to have the ps4 bundled with like every game, ever.. I think it's actually a pretty good idea. It's great when buying a new console to have a choice of which game you want to get with it for free. More choice always beats less choice in my book ! I was really tempted to buy the destiny bundle even though I already have a ps4. The white is really sharp and I love the controller that came with it as well.

Re: Wait, Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare Is Cross-Buy on PS4 and PS3?

mitcHELLspawn

Are you 100% positive that's what this promotion means? I took it as, if you buy the last Gen version, you can trade up to the new gen version one for free, but you in turn lose access to the original one in the process. If you guys are right that's a pretty sweet deal! Since I have friends on both consoles so I would be able to play with both.

Re: Grand Theft Auto V's PlayStation Store Pre-Order Bonus Is Garbage

mitcHELLspawn

It actually blows my mind to think how much this game is going to sell once it's all said and done and released on next gen and pc... in my opinion it really deserves it though. I'm definitely buying it again, can't wait to beat the campaign again! I daresay nothing is going to beat this game in sales for a long, long time... well probably not until gta 6 lol

Re: Weirdness: This Is How Activision Should Have Marketed Destiny

mitcHELLspawn

@BoltedArc well good thing I don't see one person calling this game terrible here. Not one. Most people continue to play it. Was it as amazing as some hoped it would be? Obviously not. But a 7/10 game is far from terrible.. get off your high horse. This game is still a blast to play with friends and the gun play, as stated many times, is pretty much perfect.

Re: Sigh! Even Sony Can't Resist Ruffling Fanboy Feathers

mitcHELLspawn

@BloodyBill no that sounds awesome though lol. I've only gotten to play for about 2 hours or so because I'm away at work until tomorrow but I finished the first bucket list mission which is awesome and then I did the race with the Ferrari racing the Jets lol that was so sick. Then you get to keep the Ferrari which is awesome. Man the way they use the rumble features in the triggers is so amazing. They perfected it. It really feels like the brakes locking up or the tires spinning from acceleration. I wish more games with driving would use them in that way.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 39

mitcHELLspawn

Destiny all the way. I'm sitting at level 26 even though I didn't get to start playing until a few days after it launched... my buddies and I are hoping to be able to take on the vault of glass here pretty soon as most of them are around 24 at the moment. Really excited to play it especially because you don't need 6 people anymore! I don't know if bungie even announced this but I tried and was able to even start the raid by myself.

Re: Rumour: Minecraft Maker May Be Purchased by Microsoft for $2 Billion

mitcHELLspawn

Ugh. I really hope this isn't true. For one I'm not a big fan of mine craft to begin with, and second just imagine what kind of awesome talent they could attract by taking that 2 billion dollars and building a studio from the ground up for brand new Innovative IP. it would be such a better use for money and it would be completely 100% beneficial to the gaming industry. Very dissapointing to me if it's true.

Re: Batman: Arkham Knight Removes Its Cloak on PS4 from 2nd June

mitcHELLspawn

I would say there's a couple reasons for the delay, but the need for extra dev time is probably last on the list (In my opinion) . Last I heard it was a Feb release, which is extremely crowded with huge releases coming... not only that this is a next gen only game and I assume WB have allowed for quite a big budget on this game based on the great success rock steady has had thus far, so by waiting that extra time they give more time for people to adopt the next gen consoles. I expect by June next year the figures to be around 20 million ps4s. But man that being said, the extra dev time is going to make this game just beyond gorgeous and I'm sure the gameplay will be second to none as well. Very excited for it.. thankfully I'll have lots of games to keep me focused in the mean time !

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 37

mitcHELLspawn

Ps4 - playing first light right now. I loved second son. I wish there was a lot cooler side missions in the game but it was really fun. I love any games with cool superpowers. Gonna try to platinum it.

Xbox one - finishing off metro redux, I've got about 1400 gamer score out of a possible 2000 so far so it's been pretty sweet. I'm near the middle of last light right now. Also when the wife wants in on some gaming time I'll be playing diablo ultimate edition with her trying to finish act 3... and finally playing some coop with some buddies on warframe . I can't belive how much I like this game. I tried it on ps4 when they launched it last year but it has come such a LONG way from then and it's great. I've even spent some cash on the game to support the devs.

And last but not least on my vita when laying down before bed I've been playing ff10 remastered. Wow when I write all this down it shows just how much gaming I do. Nuts lol.. but I mean I don't watch TV at all really so it's really just a substitute for me.

Re: PlayStation Gets a PS4 Destiny Bundle and Oodles of DLC, While Xbox Gets Eau De Destiny

mitcHELLspawn

I think it's a hilarious way to bring attention to the game. Xbox also announced you can get any game free with a xbox one console the week of destiny's release, meaning a xbox one + destiny bundle is cheaper than the ps4 destiny bundle... whether or not this actually increases sales is yet to be seen...

As for these exclusive deals for multiplatform games, I really wish it would die a horrible death. I'm all for exclusive games, that's how consoles have always worked... but I wish companies would stop buying content on multiplatform games and both xbox and Sony are very guilty of this. Pretty much they're paying to keep content out of the game that would have been there originally. It's just stupid.

Re: Vita's Next Firmware Update Will Let You Watch PS4 Livestreams

mitcHELLspawn

I think this is sweet. I usually check streams out on my ps4 and Xbox one when I'm bored or just want to check out a game before I buy it. Sometimes there's some genuinely funny people streaming games that I enjoy..

as for what some other people were saying about streaming from vita I think that would be cool as hell especially cuz the vita has the forward facing camera as well.. sadly I don't think the vita has quite enough oomph to pull off playing a game, streaming it to twitch and capturing video from your camera all at the same time.

Re: Poll: What Did You Think of Sony's Pre-Tokyo Game Show Conference?

mitcHELLspawn

Meh. Really not a fan of jrpgs. I find the stories and characters so convoluted and flat out retarded in some instances lol.. I do like seeing new content of any kind coming to vita though. I love my vita it's such an awesome handheld I just wish more devs would take the risk of putting some bigger budget games on it.. also wish people would start buying it more lol so then the games would definitely come. As for the ps4, I was happy to see a date for bloodborne! Pretty pumped for that game
