I pre-order so i can pay the game off in small increments, helping me buy games new (I have a thing for shrink wrapped new products & a new game in Australia will set you back at least $80) & the majority of the time I am getting a sequel to a game I love or one that I have seen plenty of detail. So for this gen I have pre-ordered: Far Cry 4, Shadow of Mordor, The Order (errrr...) The Witcher 3, Arkham Knight & Metal gear V collectors edition. I enjoyed The Order & got it for $5 more than retail & got the galahad sackboy so as far as it being my biggest error I'm not to sad. Pretty unhappy with the way Netherrealm/Warner is treating DLC though, Injustice & MK X...

I would happily pre-order it but I am worried that the multiplayer will follow what Injustice did: region lock. If you weren't in the same region as someone it would take you to character select then disconnect you, sucked. if I knew it wasn't doing that I would get the super special edition on PS4.

Why can't we have folders? The overall XMB is much better than PS3 but I don't like how certain games will fade away, I am like many others-I want my stuff organized my way! Still, this will be sweet for certain hard games with few checkpoints!

Definitely picking this up, only picked up & finished The New Order late last week. Interested to know if it will be coming out on disc as well like First Light for example.

I've been thinking about getting Oddworld for a long while (Sooo many memories from my childhood) so am definitely happy with that, as well as Valiant Hearts. Sherlock Holmes...I might play that as a laugh, it looks like a truly horrible game. Overall I'm pretty happy=)

Perhaps Ground Zeroes is one of the free games, the PS4 game & they were waiting on the release date of Phantom Pain & were having some back & forths with Konami? The IGN/countdown clock got busted & we now know TPP is coming Sep 1st (!!!!!!)
If MGS GZ is the free game I want a cookie...especially as I already own it on both systems =P

@ToddlerNaruto No, I'm counting Red Dead Redemption as 2, Red Dead Revolver was the first game back on PS2. You can get it on PS3 from PSN. Edit- Get on it! One of the greatest games of the last generation! I played it again late last year & it holds up wonderfully.

Pachter says it won't happen, FINALLY I can start getting excited about RDR 3! A Bully sequel wouldn't hurt though...

A game like TLOU attracts people jumping ship to PS4, people like myself & tons of others on my friends list who had it on PS3 & love the mp, along with it's constantly being included in bundles, that's an exclusive people buy the hell out of. The Order...it has the very definition of anti-hype. All it's getting is hate. I remember when it was first announced, it seemed like everyone couldn't wait a day for it to come out, myself included.This guy is shockingly out of touch, as we all know, has he not been keeping up with all the damning stories on it? I pre-ordered it a couple months ago & have had my doubts but will be picking it up tomorrow (a day ahead of US since I'm in Aus) but I wish I could say that I'm not worried. Seriously, how does this guy have a job??? The only thing he's right about is it being included in bundles but you don't need to be a psychic to know that.

I refuse t watch the video & I must say that as someone who has pre-ordered a special edition, steelcase/figurine & all that I am quite worried about the length. But if I can get at least 10 out of it I'll be fine. Other than that I don't understand why people were keen to hate it before the length debacle, it looks AWESOME! Hence why I pre-ordered it. I mean the graphics look truly next gen, the story is unique & interesting, I don't get it. But I will be p*ssed if most of the games hours is cutscenes & QTE.

Day one soecial for me, am a bit worried though.

I played so much Tony Hawk Pro Skater that I had a blister that covered the entirety of the top of my right thumb. I was unstoppable in that game & no one has ever come close to beating me...damn that blister was hectic though.

@Picasso20 It would read older games fine but would stop being able to read games like TLOU (I play the multiplayer on that ALL the time), GTA 5, Bioshock Infinite. happened to all 4 of them. Never had an issue with my second gen console. I have a PS4 & TLOU on that now so it doesn't matter so much but at the time it was horrendous.

My third gen super slim PS3...went through 4 in 12 months, on the fifth one now so I'm very wary of slims.

Won't be seeing TLOU for a VERY long tie. In a few years maybe. The next AAA games to come will be Killzone Shadowfall.Knack, when who knows.

Absolutely with above. I have finished TLOU SEVEN TIMES (the last 2 were remastered though) & I have yet to platinum. I will next time with a road map, how am I not talking to everyone or getting everything? I spend most of the game looking in weird corners! Anyway, I am glad to hear it & am looking forward to getting it with my special sockboy Galahad figurine =D

The question is, will the multiplayer be region locked (ie you can't play against a person outside your region online) like Injustice? This will be the most important factor deciding whether I buy this at release or not.

To anyone having issues with Far Cry or DAI just turn off connection under settings>network, then turn it back on after you log into the game. I can't believe PSN is still down. I don't blame Sony but I think we deserve a free month of PSN after this.

I was able to play my digital copy of TLOU last night (single player) no problem. Really hope this gets sorted soon with these "Lizard Squad" goons caught & given a hefty sentence, set an example to others who might get the same idea. As someone else said, if this was done to a phone network or something of that nature then these guys would be done by now. Sick of this crap.

Eh, I was playing Mortal Kombat 2 when I was 3 years old, played all the violent mega drive/PS 1 games as a kid & I hate violence of all kinds, for that tangent of the topic. I would probably hold some modern games back if I had a kid but not based on the ratings system. To AC. I am worried. It has been my favorite modern franchise & the issues with Unity have really been distressing, haven't even gotten half way through the story sice launch as the other Ubi game FC4 is a lot more stable. They need to settle down & make sure they listen to the consumer & not make the same mistake again or just flat out turn their backs on us.

@Mrskinner Major games media has mainly ignored it. As a AC fan I'm incensed, it was so, so broke for so long, almost a week. I bought the Bastille edition too so not happy.

No, they don't deserve credit for this. For what, being one of the biggest gaming companies in the world, releasing one of the biggest games in the world as a broken mess. No, sorry, no. I LOVE AC & I actually think that the game itself is pretty amazing, one of the best of the entire series. But it should of been delayed. No excuses for the mess they released. Before the second patch it was unplayable for me & to have to download almost 2GB of patches to make a game almost passable is ridiculous.

So we will be able to play online? Fine if we can't, whatever gets the network more stable. I personally can easily forgive even another network error or 2 this year if they fix it up & stop it from happening as regularly again, won't even remember this years issues.

@kupo No lie. Google "Ps3 not reading Last Of us" and see the walls of complaints. To be fair it read MOST games but would always end up failing with TLOU within 1-3 months (first took 3, second 2 then 1 & a half, just got worse). They treated me like crap when talking to them on the phone too. But with TLOU a multiplayer that I play ALL THE TIME (now on PS4) it was unacceptable. After TLOU, GTA V would start to go, then Bioshock Infinite. It was newer games with a certain type of disc layer that it had issues with but older games, no issue. I would of jumped ship but all my friends stayed & moved to PS4, I've been with the PS since day one & figured that my second gen never did it so the PS4 should be good. But I am not a fan of Sony customer support & the way they treat their customers. I will always have a bitter taste & if they screw me hard again then I will leave, I hope it doesn't come to that.

What blows my mind is how the publishing end would let this be released. Surely they are smart enough to know that delaying a release, whilst not ideal, is much better than forever having what is meant to be a revolutionary refresher in a franchise known as an absolute wreck of a glitched game. Bring out Rogue, keep people happy enough with the re-skinned Black Flag (I love AC but am short on cash, will get it after the games bonanza that is November) and release it just in time for Xmas. Push your devs & fix this crap. What were they thinking? No on will ever forget this & as I have said before, if Ubi keeps pulling dodgy crap they will go the way of Activision. We will turn our backs on them. I am interested in the DLC though, I mean it's not like Black Flag where it was just a short story in the same areas with a side character, it's in a whole new country so sounds interesting. I bet they started making it after the "no females in co-op" media crap (which btw imo is ridiculous that one can't have a female assassin in co-op)

Gt it yesterday, special edition, still haven't played it. I love AC & truly believed this would be a crowning achievement, something to rival AC 2/Brotherhood. Will post a short few notes of impressions when I've put some hours in tonight...I just hope that 888mb patch (day one smfh) did something to help.

As far as I see it all we have exclusive wise to look forward to is The Order, due in Feb & Uncharted 4. Sony really needs to lift its game. Huge sales or not, people remember. Look at the Xbone. IF Sony doesn't sort this out then I am worried that we won't see a PS6.

I'm in Australia & sometimes we get a game a day before Nth America, sometimes a day later (with Shadow of Mordor a week later, Unity a day later)
I come home with my nice Bastille edition after dreading the bugs & I get a 888MB patch. First day patch nearly a GB. Yet to play it as I had a big TLOU sesh but I am hoping this game is a return to form & the stoopid patch fixes this madness & things carry on. I have been in love with AC since I first got AC 2 but since 3 the franchise has been slipping. I want to feel like I am living history again, meeting real important figures of the time & actually get some edutainment (I read the Animus entries on buildings & people, learning is fun! Don't do drugs!). We will say & along with the masses give my thoughts. I do have nightmares though that daddy Arno is under my bed now, thanks Push Square.

I have played maybe 20 minutes of it & love the art style & old school mechanics but was confused with how certain things worked At one point I got something to d with a deodorant can & my face was zombie like, half green & I had no idea what it did. After just picking up Unity, the constant Destiny & TLOU & the games of the next weeks (FC4, Dragon Age) I think this will be a game I will come back to later on but one I so far likeand am confused a bit by (when I first heard of it I thought it would be a lame biblical game & I was excited, but this is almost as good as a bible game with wrestling mechanics)

Is this a sale or permanent? Was contemplating getting Killzone last night digitally, glad I put it off! And I assume with the AUS price put there that these prices are in Aus?

@MoleZandor LOL! I'm about to go and get my Bastille edition & I am seriously worried now. Have really been looking forward to this game, FC4 next week then Dragon Age but this was meant to e such a great release, a real kick up the AC franchise ass. Was bad enough the had to lock down at 30FPS now this.

@kupo Oh no. I went through 5 PS3's in a year (super slim). I have been confident the PS4 wouldn't be faulty, that sucks man but I hope it's just an anomaly
