Despite the release of several big blockbusters – including online heavy titles like Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare – the PlayStation Network has been surprisingly stable these past few weeks. The platform holder would clearly like to keep things that way, too, so it’s arranged a period of scheduled maintenance, set to run for six hours starting 17th November.
The temporary construction period will enable the manufacturer to “deploy a series of back-end improvements to the network”, and will begin at 09:00AM PT (12:00PM ET/17:00PM GMT) and will run all the way through until 15:00PM PT (18:00PM ET/23:00PM GMT). As is always the case, you’ll be able to play your games without a hitch if you've logged into the PSN since 13th November.
Some services, however – such as the PlayStation Store, PlayStation Home, and Account Management – will be unavailable during the maintenance period. If all of this means that Grand Theft Auto V’s launch goes swimmingly, then we can cope with a few hours of minor instability – we’re sure that you’ll manage, too.

Anything that could lead to a better, more stable network is welcome.
Downtime awaits...
I'm pretty sure I mentioned that already.
"deploy a series of back-end improvements to the network” Really? What was PS Plus requirement for the majority of PS4 online games for?
With Far Cry and GTA coming the next, I guess they need the servers working fine.
Will run over and turd on GTA downloads
they said last time i would still be able to play online if i was
logged in.
but i got chucked out of destiny anyway, so i'll make other plans for monday.
@Bad-MuthaAdebis That is exactly what I was thinking. Why risk messing up what is arguably their biggest holiday release.
So we will be able to play online? Fine if we can't, whatever gets the network more stable. I personally can easily forgive even another network error or 2 this year if they fix it up & stop it from happening as regularly again, won't even remember this years issues.
