Sony PSN Hack

While the PlayStation Network slowly rolls back out around the globe, the after effects of a recent gaming cyber attack are still looming large. Indeed, some people are still unable to connect on the PlayStation 4, rendering Christmas gifts untouched. Meanwhile, the damage to Sony's reputation has been catastrophic – especially considering recent events regarding its movie division.

One of the people behind the assault has since come forward as part of an interview with Sky News, and tried to justify his actions. Going by the name of Ryan, the Lizard Squad member explained between suppressed giggles that he wanted "to raise awareness to the low levels of security at these companies". Perhaps he should have tried actually hacking the network, rather than overloading it, then...

If you're already frustrated by the outage, then we recommend not viewing this Sky News clip, as watching someone cackle about ruining Christmas may prove a bitter pill.
