If even one person worked 100s of hours for weeks, that's too many. That is too much, and if they were good upper management people they would have sent him home.

That is, for example, 5 straight 16 hour days,and ONLY 10 hour days on Saturday and Sunday. So you are getting to work at 6 a.m., leaving at 10 a.m. (I'm assuming no lunch). With a 30 minute commute that means you are home from 10:30 p.m. until 5:30 a.m. That's messed up.

Out of college I had 3 jobs for 4 years. I would work 70-80 hour weeks and my body would be a wreck after 1 of them, and then I had to survive 2 more of them.

Don't let these upper 1%ers try to downplay this. It's still wrong and they should have sent them home. Money is not worth that much time of your life in a week.

I just got a new gaming PC last year, so I figure by the time I have to get another in 5 years... FF VII remake will be coming out within soon there after.

People, don't buy the game. EA, and the other game companies, aren't going to learn anything until you stop buying any game with any type of DLC/Microtransaction/Loot Box/Whatever. Just don't. if the game isn't complete when you buy it, it's a rip off waiting to happen.

@Rudy_Manchego Majority of people who bought a Wii solely bought it for Wii Sports, maybe Wii Fit and make MK7. Wii Sports sold Wiis, it wasn't Wiis selling Wii Sports.

Regardless, good for GTA V, it's a huge number.

THank goodness. I'm a huge Monster Hunter fan, but would have boycotted if loot boxes were added.

I pay for a game 1 time, in the beginning. No DLC, No microtransactions, no season pass, nothing. It's why I rarely buy day 1 anymore, usually I just get the GOTY version with all the DLC thrown in for cheap.

Forgot the X-Men characters and Capcom wonders why people forgot to buy it...

Nice to see at least some companies who know how to make enough systems to meet demands. No wonder they are #1 by a landslide this gen.

No. I don't understand why people like early access games. You are doing a play testers job for them, for free. Make these companies pay play testers money to find the bugs in these games.

There are too many games to play as is, I don't want to spend my precious free time trying to find a new game on a digital store and have to sift through unfinished shovelware.

Capcom currently makes my favorite series in Monster Hunter.

However, what they did with SFV was horrible and I can't argue with anyone who wants to put them on a "not buying their games" list.

You shouldn't have "learned" you don't put out an undone game Capcom. You should have know that as of 30 years ago.

Nintendo is very weak in the UK market right now. Seems like a good move to try and keep the foothold for Sony.

That looks like a lot of fun. It's the first PS4 game exclusive that truly screams "buy a system for this" to me.

Just make the store easier to search. Steam needs to do this too. But my goodness there is so much shovelware being produced for all systems right now. It's all about quantity over quality these days.

There were grumblings a year or two back that Microsoft should sell of the Xbox brand because it doesn't do all that well for them. This strengthens that argument. Sony clearly knows what the consumer wants right now.

It's like, no. You looking at (optimisitically) 100 comments. So 80% of the most hardcore people are buying digital.

The majority of people by and large go physical. I for one still go physical on everything I can, except for PC, but with Steam why pay more than $5 for a game ever.

2017 could be a bumpy road for the gaming industry as a whole with rising dev costs and lower sales.

I expect the trend to continue. I bought a lot less games period in 2016, part due to less free time, part due to sequel fatique, part due to the fact a lot of games were just "good" but not a lot of games that were "you must buy this now."

The video game industry still being unwilling to share digital sales tells me they are still not giving them a huge boost. Because you don't want your stock to fall in the end, investors want to hear good news. So if you sold a ton digitally, you would flaunt that. But they don't... because I bet even COD only sells maybe 200k online (on consoles).

@JaxonH I love Nintendo... but the mistakes they have made and have not been learnign from this generation has pissed me off so much.

Do they need to be unique? Yes... to a point.

Dual screens are good, that's why they aren't getting rid of 3DS yet.
But are multiplayer games with no online good? No.
Is still have no trophy system good? No.
The fact they still barely utilize cross buy between 3DS/WiiU good? No.
Did you like how they stocked amiibo and NES Mini? I hope not.
How about how they try and market most of their games via word of mouth? Dumb
The instance on "unique" controls like in SF Zero? Bad move.
Their way of keeping your digital game library safe is the worst of the 3 companies.
Although off TV play is great, the WiiU controller is not fun to hold.

NIntendo has had great ideas in the past, but as of late they have been missing way more than they are hitting. I want them to learn, but they seem to refuse to listen to criticisms. We'll see with Swtich... but so far, I'm not thrilled with I'm hearing about the WiiU portable port machine.

@JaxonH Gamers lost when they agreed to Day 1 patches of 2+ gigs because they cared more about having the game immediately than waiting for a delay to get the game fixed. Gamers lost when they agreed to be nickel and dimed by DLC instead of unlocking cool stuff like we used to. Gamers lost when they decided $60 AND microtransactions were OK in their games. Gamers could have actually listened to reviews and stop preordering things just because they get some artbook or figurine, but they didn't. So even though I love Nintendo, they've screwed up so bad, at this point, they almost deserve what's looming over their head.

And besides, there will always be lots of diversity and well priced games on Steam and the PC market in general.

@BLP_Software Microsoft isn't going away. They have the PC market, so you want to take out Nintendo and then convince them to only make games for the Sony platform. Must combine to have any chance to conquer.

Isn't the Pro coming in in 2017? And if I'm Sony I drop PS4 down to $175 the week before Switch comes out, just to bury the hatchet into Nintendo's back. Easy way to kill that launch in a hurry.

@ShogunRok I understand that, but having 100% FF X-2, it's a full fledged game that takes over 100 hours to complete and is just as much a game as the others. And its better than a number of the others. I'm fine with ignoring I,III,XI and XIV for the reasons given. But X-2,XIII-2, XIII-3 are full main line games.

I think you should have included Yuna from X-2 and Serah from XIII-2. It's not like they are going to win, but it just looks bad leaving them out. Especially since there are so few female leads.

@deathofpsygnosis I know. But I only have so much time, and there's only a few games I want to play on PS4, so can't justify paying more than that. It'll come down eventually.

Put the PS4 up for $150 and I might pick it up.

I would be a little surprised if PS4 Pro didn't far out perform the slim to warrant the extra $100. Sony has the market by the palm of their hands.... I don't think they would be dumb enough to repeat their PS3 launch mistakes.

Wow only $400. Glad I didn't buy the Old OG PS4. Looks like its at a price most people who are impulse buyers will pick this up, then pick up the PS5 2 years from now without batting an eye.

@rjejr I don't have a PS4 either, just a PS3. But it makes no sense not to get a Pro. once both versions are out, most of the "AAA" games are going to be optimized for the better system, and just made sure to function on the older one. Ala new 3DS enhanced games vs them being on a OG 3DS.

If it's like $99.99 I'll consider a buy. Heck, I'll pick up a Vita for that.

If it's only OK, why spend 30 hours on it? Or maybe don't do long play sessions, so you aren't experiencing everything in a few days?

If I play a game for 30 hours over a 4 day stretch, it's because the game is amazing. I think you are trying to downplay how much you enjoy it... or you like settling for mediocrity.

How much is Playstation Now? This would completely eliminated any need to buy a Playstation system ever again, would be great for storage space.

All Sony has to do is announce 3 different systems, and they will have Microsoft's beat. I mean come, just announcing two new consoles for the next 18 months? It's like they think the consumers are cheap. We have tons of money to burn. TONS.

Between leaks and companies no longer saving things for E3, no real shock there isn't much in the way of amazing surprises. Not sure how many we'll see the entire week from all publishers.

@Jake3103 I'm half joking, except for the whole fact KH II came out in 2005 and although there have been other KH games, it's 11 years later and we still don't have main line 3rd game.

I've got them both pegged for a 2020 release on the PS5... but I'm probably being too optimistic with that projection.

Battlefield 12 confirmed... probably for 2020, and yes EA will pump out 5-11 over the next 3 years, knowing plenty of gamers will buy it and its season pass without blinking, like cattle.

Glad I held off. Now comes the wait to see if FF XV is announced for NX (it's a rumor), or if I'll get this system to play it.

@blinkpunk02 Beyond out of state rosters, most sports games see minimal upgrades year to year. I usually buy one version per system. I have like MLB The Show 12 for the PS3 and if I pulled it out I'd still be happy with it.

There some interesting RPGs on the Vita I'd like to own, but I'm so behind on my backlog in that genre I don't need more.

I want one, but for like $100. I just want MLB The Show on the go, even if at this point it's last year's edition. 3DS has 0 good baseball games on it, and I like having baseball as an option anywhere.

@ShogunRok I would think the PS4 is set up like the WiiU where you simply hit download and then play a game until its done. I wish I could download it, lol

The "free" demo is "well worth" it? I certainly hope something free is worth how much I'm paying for it, lol.

Hoping to see it go to PC or NX, but if not, FF XV will be the reason I buy a PS4(.5).

I guess people enjoyed using their Move controllers on the PS3 more than they led on after all.

I really look forward to when the first VR device hits the shelves and users can give impressions on it. And hey they can find a way to do streams of them, which I'm sure will lead to loads of motion sickness.

You do realize that was the last system, only 1 gen ago? It wasn't that long ago. Also, the 3DS is hit. Is it a megaton, 2nd best selling system of all time like the DS was? No, but 3DS has still sold a ton (still the best selling system of this generation for now).

But NX I doubt will be even as powerful as Xboner or PS4. Something tells me Nintendo is going to something very "special." And we'll get to define what I mean by "special" come E3.
