One of the best horror games available on PS5, Silent Hill 2, looks to be venturing to new platforms later this month. On 21st November 2025, specifically, it looks like the Bloober Team remake will delight Xbox Series X|S owners.
It's been common knowledge for some time now that Sony had a 12-month console exclusivity window on Silent Hill 2, with the game also launching for PC on day one. With that window now having expired, it looks like Konami has multi-platform plans to put into action.
Spotted by True Achievements, a Microsoft Store page for the survival horror title has gone live with the 21st November 2025 launch date, so Konami should share the news officially in the coming days. There will be the same standard and Deluxe Edition options offered at the PS5, PC launch, along with a new bundle containing the Bloober Team remake and Silent Hill F.
When Silent Hill 2 first released on PS5, we awarded it a 9/10 rating and concluded: "So much of what made the Konami classic a masterpiece in 2001 remains in this PS5 remake 23 years later, with the same unforgettable story, satisfying exploration, and weighty combat. There were concerns in the lead-up to release, but Silent Hill 2 speaks for itself: a spectacular experience that once again represents survival horror at its best."
It's now ready to offer that same high-quality experience on Xbox Series X|S in the coming weeks. Are you happy that more people will get to play Silent Hill 2? Let us know in the comments below.

Can't believe I'm seeing Xbox players online moan about the game potentially having it's original retail price and that it should be cheaper due to it already being on Playstation for a year. Erm Forza Horizon 5 says hello.....
I will probably start the game for the first time once I'm done with TLOU 2, luckily it's on Playstation Plus so I may play it on my Portal in bed for an hour each night, lights off and headphones on just how horror games should be played 😅.
I actually only just got around to this around Halloween time. It is very good indeed. I dont even have nostalgia for the series as I never gave the series a shot. I'm certainly a fan now. Looking forward to the SH1 remake and trying SHf here soon too.
Good for the Xbox fans that will get to play it soon too.
Other than Demons souls remake Bloobers Silent Hill 2 is the best remake around. Absolutely show stopping. They nailed it
@Medic_alert
They are likely having a lot of trouble getting it to work on Switch 2 as its UE5. In the ports Ive seen tested - which is admittedly not all of them - Switch 2 normally comes in between PS4 Pro and S2, but often much closer to PS4 Pro.
Im not saying its not possible, but this team don't seem to be the most technically gifted from the evidence we have.
Would be nice to see a Pro patch fix as well.
I think the issue people have with the price on the Xbox, @UltimateOtaku91, is that it has been on sale, in the sales, on the PlayStation 5 for as low as £29.99 in recent months...
@Medic_alert
You would think thats how it should work - and it really should.
But this engine is just far too resource hungry for this generation of hardware, and for general use in my opinion - PS5 generally struggles with it, and you often end up with only just above 720p at 60fps. Series S will likely be limited to 30fps, and there is not much lower to go. Even very expensive PC's seem to struggle at times.
@Fiendish-Beaver Well surely it will be in the xbox store sales as well within a few months, as per with almost every game that releases.
@Medic_alert
I just checked the DF video - to make sure I wasn't talking rubbish and on (base) PS5 the performance mode drops res to 864p - which does indeed indicate around this or a bit lower at 30fps on Series S. Sorry.
Im hoping for a proper Pro patch too, for both this and SH F - then I will likely buy them both.
I think, if they do one, we will be waiting until the new PSSR/FSR4.
This particular team has never impressed me with their technicals, so I'm not going to hold my breath lol. But, maybe a different team could port to Switch 2 (I have no idea).
if this helps fund more remakes i'm all for it i love silent hill 2 remake and can't wait to see what they'll do with the first game , and there are rumors swirling around ( take it with a grain of salt ) that the 3rd game will be remade as well.
@UltimateOtaku91 yeah, some Xbox players turned into idiots thanks to Game Pass. Didn't happen to me.
SH2 Remake is such a fantastic game, Xbox peeps are in for a treat.
Probably the port to the Series L consoles might bring another patch for PlayStation. Let’s see.
Oh I entirely agree, @UltimateOtaku91. I just think the sale price versus the full price has ruffled a few feathers. However I agree, may as well wait for a sale if the price offends you so much...
This game was so good it made me buy Cronos and I regret that purchase.
One of the best Survival Horror games I've played in recent years. Still gotta play more to see all the other endings, though. Don't care about the Xbox port
