You May Have Missed Atelier Karia's Reveal, Coming to PS5 in 2027

Looks interesting I've been playing through Atelier Resieriana and I still need to play Yumia.

Atelier is a franchise where I want every single entry that is playable in English. All of them.

@8th_Observer I remember an interview with the creator who said they would go back to English if they continue to have decent sales, that was when Ryza came out and as far as I'm aware the games have sold well since.

So where's our dub!

@UltimateOtaku91 The DX versions of the Ryza trilogy would have been perfect for bringing back Dubs it also would have given people who owned the originals more of a reason to buy that version as well.

Oh wow all this, DD2 DLC AND a new Atelier? I'm there.

Never played one of these but I quite liked what I saw from the trailer. Are they anything like the Tales of… games?

I didn't miss it, it was the the best announcement of this week. JP direct showed it properly, while American direct gave it two seconds in a f-ing montage of ports and remasters, while giving more time to thumb wrestling. Absolute disgrace.

@psmr The fighting is turn based with some later entries having a similar combat to final fantasy 13. There's also a big focus on gathering materials and making items, armor, weapons and tools which you will need to master as it's important to make the best gear possible.

In terms of exploration it also depends on the game, with the newer ones being more open world. Like Yumia which is the sequel to this new game, it's very open with multiple zones and different activities to do on the map, similar to some gacha games if you've ever played genshin and wutha it's like that, but a bit more basic.

The last Atelier game (Resleriana) had a town restoration mechanic where you help build a town and run a shop. In Yumia you also go around the map building bases.

So yeah I'd say its nothing like the Tales games.

I like the main character’s design.

The moment I saw the letter types I knew this one was a sequel or prequel to yumia
I love yumia battle system and alchemy system can't wait for more

I casually bought Ateler Iris from the bin of a store for like 10€. I became a huge fan and have bought all games in the series afterwards, some of them in multiple platforms. I really liked the Dusk trilogy, the Ryza trilogy and the latest game, Resleriana, was also good. I did not enjoy Yumia that much but I look forward to the new game. Hopefully, english dub will return but I doupt it.

I was not expecting a new atelier game announcement with blue reflection around the corner so this was a surprise. The new character design looks good aswell.

This is why JP direct is way better, I was not expecting a new entry already, I do like Karia’s design.
