Following on from the day one patch included with Cyberpunk 2077 at launch, CD Projekt Red has just deployed update 1.04 across PlayStation consoles. It weighs in at 17.684GB, so this is another big one that hopefully fixes some of the issues users have been facing. The Polish developer has posted the full list of patch notes over on the Cyberpunk 2077 website, and we've detailed them all below. They focus on fixing various quests, reducing pop-in, and improving general performance. We posted our Cyberpunk 2077 PS4 review in progress earlier today, sharing our initial thoughts on the experience. We recommend giving it a read if you're worried about console performance.

the crash fixes could be a big one @Robert Ramsey
Damm by the end it going to be a bigger size than COD. Isn't that now 123gb.
Good to see they got the epilepsy problem patched asap.
I think this company will turn thing around I have faith.........cheers Liam this is the kinda news I need.
Just started downloading while I was playing. Thought to myself "I'll close and download this before continuing" only to realise its almost 18gig. Bloody hell.
I hope it didn't fix the Bounce Back crafting exploit. I like to actually be able to buy stuff. Haha
Interestingly, the only issue I’ve noticed so far on the PS5; occasional rapid flickering of dialogue text for a couple of moments, is the one fix not outlined in this patch.
Stoked to see they patched the crashing bug(!) and the delay switching to third person when in a vehicle. I swear I'd be sitting there mashing my dpad over and over again waiting like 5-10 seconds before it would switch.
Really need to fix the HDR implementation
@OneManTagTeam agreed looks terrible in HDR.
I am starting to wonder if I have the whole game installed on my Xbox. I preloaded the game before getting physical but my file size is only 59 GB and my version is 1.0.0.6.
It came with 2 discs, but inserting disc 1 launched the game, so I figured it was all good. But no Day 1 patch was applied and this patch hasn’t installed. Even going the manage game shows no updates downloaded. 🤷♂️
No “fixed frame rate dropping down to 15fps”?
wonder if they fixed the issue with the controller acting like a joycon with drift.
so many weird bugs, at one point the game explains about bounties. But everytime a bounty enemy appears on my scanner, the cops join in with the bounty and shoot me. Turns out shooting bounties is "illegal"
@GamingFan4Lyf You have it all installed. This latest patch isn't on Xbox yet, so that's one reason why it's smaller, but the compression is also different on each system, so they won't be the same size necessarily on Xbox and PlayStation. That and I believe the PlayStation and PC versions come with the other language options already installed, which takes up a decent amount of space too. At least that's what somebody said when talking about the different file sizes for each platform. If so, we should be given the option to not have them installed to save space since the game is a good bit bigger on PlayStation than Xbox right now with only one extra patch on PS4/PS5.
@Max2574
It's 104 Gb after the download. It just copied and replacing some from files does not increased that much at all
I'm still having problems with random crashes/closes with the game on PS5 even after the update
Glad to see this getting patched sooner rather than later. Still a lot more work but they are very much aware which is good. Been playing on base ps4 and it’s improved a bit. Resolution seems better off the bat.
They should fix that "Joy-Con drift" problem, can be really annoying
But if they really fixed the crashed that would be nice, had 3 crashes in 9h
@propinquity The drift issue was the first thing I noticed. Almost had a heart attack thinking my DualSense was broken, before checking with someone playing on PS4 who had the same issue!
Did they fix the bad stick drift?
Hopefully a significant number of bugs will be fixed before the end of the year. At least so its playable. I doubt there's much which can be done for the poor AI and reduced fidelity and frame rate though, the game is clearly too ambitious for current gen consoles
@Ridwaano mine didn’t get any bigger on PS5 it is still 101.9 GB
Strange my file size didn’t increase. Purchased the game digital on PS5 and it’s stayed 101.9 GB after 1.02 and 1.04
We're testing this out now. If it fixes the crashing, we'll post about it.
Thought of playing it on the ps5, so I'll just wait for the full upgrade. Man, console gaming sure has changed.
Heres hoping the ps5 update isn't to faraway I wanna play something close to the pc version
PS5.
Now stands at a file size of 109.4GB after 1.04 patch.
I bet that there will be quite a few patches like this, maybe not daily, but a steady run of them over the next week or so.
If the CDPR team thought initial crunch was bad, I bet someone's spitting feathers somewhere, and they are doing nothing BUT pressured, intense patchwork.
So if they planned to have an early break before Xmas and then work on the DLC, that's gone right out the window.
Or, the deadline was always going to stick, so no more moving the game back, and to hell with it, they knew the PS4 versions were utter crap and just thought, 'oh well, that ship has sailed, we better just keep plugging the holes, that'll keep it afloat' "ICEBERG!! DEAD AHEAD". 🤣🤣
Sucks to be them either way.
Massively damaged their rep.
Puts them in the same league as Hello Games with No Man's Sky..
Hugely over promised, couldn't deliver day one, took months and months to repair.
I also remember getting ME: Andromeda about a year after it was released, and thought what was all the fuss? Now I get it 🤪🤪
I think this also puts the timetable back for the true PS5 version. Lucky for them they didn't date that as well. 🙄
@jdv95 still crashes...
@Kieren1234 same.. Really had hope in this update ... Starting to think it’s my machine, haven’t crashed on any other games tho ..
Other people having crashes ? Mine used to be every 1,5 hours before the 1.04 update. Now after I updates I played for two hours and it crashes.
Runs even worse now for me, it ran perfectly before the patch with minor crash here n there but now it keeps stuttering...
@Skywalker1080p I think that depends on if you think they knew they'd be doing a lot of patches in the immediate weeks after launch. I expect that they knew more work was ahead of them, and their timetable is the same as it was before.
Still having crashes here too.
I have a bug where i can not meet with Jackie at the all foods. No fix for that.
@Ridwaano Oh thats good mate I was worried in a weeks time It would be over 150gb. They didn't fix the crashing issue if anything its worse.
I'm a few hours in and, knock on wood, haven't encountered any major issues. HDR implementation sucks, but the game itself is solid, and fun. I feel terrible for the people playing on base PS4. I really hope everything gets ironed out sooner rather than later.
@Skywalker1080p By that logic they'll be due for a Game Award in four years or so 🤣🤣🤣
Game definitely looks less blurry playing on PS5
@Max2574
Well none crash since the patch. Before the patch I had 14 crash so far
@jmac1686
It’s the really aggressive dynamic scaling that causes that.
I really want to see how the base Xbox One VCR handles this game. How low does the resolution go? I think on PS4 it bottoms out at 720P.
Switch owners like myself have been dealing with that for years.
@huntbearpig What code ? Had 2 crashes or ”error ce-108255-1” 6Times before update, 9 hours played. 2 Times after update 1,45 hours played .. so apparently it’s worse. Only had one crash on miles morales way back in November.. Anybody know if it’s hardware problem that causes it ?
@Emilebusinge Yep, that's the same code I'm getting. This is my second crash since the update.
@GamingFan4Lyf You have to put 'data disc' in first. When it has finished loading you then put in 'play disc'. From that point on you only need 'play disc' for when you want to play. 'data disc is just for the first installation.
Fix the stick drift by changing the deadzone settings in controls. Turning off film grain, chromatic abberation, motion blur and even depth of field helps the graphical issues slightly. I usually turn the first 3 off on every game I can. I've gone to the point of modding film grain out of games before. Looks crap in my opinion. C2077 Was playable (and great at that!) but butt ugly for me on base ps4. Should have got it on pc but wanted trophies like the sad little trophy whore I am. Nevermind let's see if this patch helps things.
@thefourfoldroot nor fix for 'ultra low resolution and blurry presentation'
@Ridwaano Played all night had 7, 4 in exactly same area. Seems some minor bugs are better like floating weapons. Determined to finish the game bugs be dammed.
@daddycool197 The Xbox version actually doesn't label "Play disc" and "Data disc" the way PlayStation does. Plus, I already had the game downloaded before I had the physical copy in-hand.
Xbox has a way to preload games regardless if you own the title - you just can't play said preloaded title unless you either buy a digital version or insert the disc.
I did insert the second disc just to be sure I didn't miss something and it simply errored and told me to insert the first disc, letting me know that all was right.
Plus, I finally read up on it and the Xbox file size really is only 59GB with the Day 1 patch. Pretty staggering difference if you ask me. So the preload feature does work as advertised.
I had never actually used the preload feature on Xbox for a physical title and I was concerned that the preload only installed enough to start playing the game, but didn't have everything until after either buying said game digitally or inserting said game disc - especially considering the file size on PlayStation.
Two crashes this far in 7hrs. Settings got reset two times and in the first bd mission the camera pointed on the street the whole time... Also the deadzone controller issues are really annoying oh and yes. A good explanation how to handle hdr settings would be appreciated. I own a LG nanocell TV and the HDR looks terrible.
@Orpheus79V "they knew they'd be doing a lot of patches in the immediate weeks after launch". If they didn't they shouldn't be in the game industry as this game is rotting garbage on PS4. Merely trash on the PS5.
One day after V 1.04 and its the same problems... Npcs are acting by horrible, bugs everywhere and the goddamn crashes every 1-2 hours. This needs to be fixed ASAP, they had 7 years and this is not a finished game. This is rubbish with good backbone.
