@themcnoisy @kyleforrester87 Iiiiiiiiiiii'm back!! sorry it's been a while, hope everyone's doing good!
Anyhow, back on topic - can't wait for this one, definite day one purchase. I've got a couple pals that picked it up on PC, and all said it was really good! Apparently the screenshots don't do it justice, the atmosphere is supposed to be fantastic when it all comes together in motion with the soundtrack. Hyped!
Hmmm, currently on my first go through of Fallout 4, and while it is sucking me in, and is definitely a great game, I don't feel like there's anything particularly special about it yet - as mentioned by @BAMozzy, it's just too similar to Fallout 3, I feel like I've seen it all before. Except that so far this time I've not seen any locations that hold a candle to some of the cool stuff we saw in previous Fallouts.
Granted, I'm only 11 hours in (just hit Diamond City), so I guess there's plenty of time yet for it to surprise me with something fresh, but so far it hasn't impressed me as much as things like The Witcher and BB.
@Rodin @viciousarcanum @Klebo @Fath all you guys need to try again, I just got my preorder through the EU store straight away! Just go to the SE EU store and click on the link for it on the front page
@Hordak @Scorpio73 thing is, I absolutely love what I have played of The Witcher so far - I've hardly made a dent in the story, but I've probably put at least 25-30 hours into it. It's just so damn big that I kept getting distracted! Then I got a projector, which further stunted my progress as I'd stop just to look at the surroundings every 5 minutes, it's a stunning game! At least that's not a barrier to progression with Fallout 4 haha...
I wish I could justify getting this on release day, as I'm really feeling the hype now. But I finally picked up Fallout 4 the other day, and I really want to give that the time it deserves before picking up another huge game! Especially as The Witcher 3 is still looking at me forlornly from my backlog - still not even reached Skellige yet...
Just realised that this is releasing on the day of my final maths exam, which is in the morning. Smash that in the morning with the incentive that afterwards I can go straight home to play this - AMAZING.
Also are we all going to ignore the fact that, while nice enough, we've been fobbed off a bit here. All the fuss about it being a big PS4 game, and PC get the far better special edition, coming with a replica spaceship!!
@Johnnycide was that from their US store? iam8bit have a UK store too which normally has cheaper delivery - might be worth checking out? I was looking at getting the Banner Saga vinyl from there and it came to around £35
I just couldn't drag myself through it on Vita, the plot was basically nonexistent, even though I probably gave it a good 20 hours or so before calling it quits!
I've not really been fussed by what I've seen of AAC so far, so I think I'll most likely be giving my vote to Broforce. Pleased with that though as it's one I've liked the look of for a while
@Dodoo figured it was worth a shot for a once in a lifetime opportunity like that!
But yeah later I saw MM did a sort of goodbye / thanks for an amazing day post at 4pm, so I figure if I'd made the earlier train I genuinely would have been in with a shout!
@Dodoo they hit Guildford today. I ditched work (in Dorking) early, rushed to Guildford, and waited around the station longer than I'm proud to admit (2 hours) in hopes of meeting them. No luck. Gutted
Wow, P4G is on sale in the EU store at the moment and still costs almost double that!
To be fair, it's worth it at either price, so people should buy it either way. But still...
Oh well, after upgrading to a 64GB Vita card I've had my old one sitting around which I planned to use with my US account for games I can't get in the UK. Both Chrono games AND Xenogears on sale? Yes please! Now if only they would put Jeanne d'Arc on sale.
@BigDaddyT0101 I played through both games late last year and really enjoyed them. I recommend playing them in survivor mode, as they provide a good change of pace from your normal fps games that way. It's the little touches that impressed me most, like how there is a button for wiping the dirt off your gas mask!
Happy new year! for me the big thing that sets Push Square apart from the rest is the fact that the staff actually get stuck in as an active part of the community, rather than just staying hidden in the background! Helps that the community are such an awesome bunch too
Well done on a great year, can't wait to see what's on the horizon!
@DrClayman gotta disagree with you there man, the risk would 100% pay for itself. Did you see the sales figures for MGSV? Whatever Kojima's next game is, you can guarantee people will flock to whatever console it's on, even if it means buying a new one. Plus, I would've thought making it single platform should majorly reduce dev lead times, which ultimately means more money too!
That said I really don't see Kojima wanting to go first party or even work with a major dev for a while after all this drama with Konami. I reckon he's just going to want to do his own thing entirely!
I'm just glad we've finally had an update of some sort. Looks really promising so would be a real shame if something goes wrong!
Thinking of promising games we've not heard from in a while, @get2sammyb don't suppose you've heard any news on what's happening with Salt and Sanctuary?
When all's said and done I think the god mode is a good idea for folks who a) suck at rpgs, or b) don't have the time to play it properly, to enable them to get through to experience the full story.
BUT, I do think it should have to be activated from the menu, blocking trophies while in use. Otherwise the plat is totally devalued :/
Keep the other two as they are though - as @kyleforrester87 said, these aren't really cheats, just quality of life enhancements!
@Anchorsam_9 @get2sammyb pretty sure it's not infinite anything. It maxes health and mp, and gives an obscene amount of gil, but doesn't do anything for your other stats, so a boss like the weapons is still going to give you the same issues as before.
Either way I won't be using it, but I will be using the 3x speed, it's a godsend (never realised how slow some enemy animations were)! No encs is also good when you want to quickly pop back somewhere to heal / explore uninterrupted
Edit: never mind, just read the point about clicking r3 repeatedly to renew the effect by toggling in and out of the cheat mode. Wonder if it also revives from KO. If so that is just ridiculous! Makes it a crazy easy plat :/
@kyleforrester87 loving it so much! Totally won round by the updated sprites too, and for me it all looks fantastic even blown up massive on the projector!!
@kyleforrester87 3 in now! Passing the time by building the hype playing some FFVII music on the piano (I have both the OST and Piano Collections sheet music books)
@kyleforrester87 updated now, and FFVII HD comes with a free theme.....which has all the FFVII menu sounds effects and sets your background music to fricking AERITH'S THEME (the awesome piano collections version)!!!
@AlexStinton it sounds like it's a problem with memory leaking over time from what I've read, hopefully they can fix it soon!
Do the frame rate drops get objectively worse (either longer or more severe) over time too,or is it just the load times?
Also I'd be interested to see if you could do a bit of a test - play for a while, until things are noticeably slower, put the console into rest mode then wake it up and see if that helps.
I'm assuming it won't, seeing as it keeps the game in the same state as before so I can't imagine putting it in rest mode would clear down any RAM, but worth a try as if it works doing that every couple hours would be marginally more convenient than fully switching it off and on again!
@kyleforrester87 might just be me but in that comparison shot I much prefer the original version!
Also @Mizanur not sure if it's patched for the PC version (probably), but in the original on PS1 you could actually get KOTR without a gold chocobo, all you need is the airship. It could be really fiddly, but basically if you landed on the cliff near the cave where KOTR is and rotated the airship while you were doing it, getting the angle just right would actually allow it to land facing the other way and would drop you off on the same level as the summon cave, where you aren't supposed to be able to land!
Edit: that said, gold chocos aren't toooooooo hard to get if you know what you're doing!
Did all of the above a couple years ago when I last replayed it, probably took me around 70-80 hours in total from what I remember so not too bad. The Barrett trophy is the only one that requires any real planning

Congrats @get2sammyb, @antdickens, @shogunrok and all the rest of the crew. Happy 10 years, and here's to the next 10!
I'll be squeezing in a bit of Metro Last Light, and various odds and ends on my now absolutely packed vita (64GB cards are awesome), inbetween studying and trying to drag myself down to the gym, as I have now signed myself up to end my sponsored sobriety by doing The Nuts Challenge (a 7km military style assault course with 100 obstacles) in March!
I reckon it'll find an ok initial install base with anything up to £150, but more than that as a starting price and it'll struggle. To be successful long term they really need the initial install base to be as big as possible, otherwise they'll never hit the software sales needed to allow them to lower the price in future and widen the appeal to the general public.
@get2sammyb I had serious issues with this with Gamestop when I first bought my PS4. My bank had blocked the payment deeming it unusual activity without actually checking with me first, but they then needed Gamestop to re-request the payment in order for it to go through (once a blocked payment has been confirmed as legit activity they apparently can't just push the existing payment request on to completion, rather the bank just remove the blocker so it'll be allowed next time the payment request is made).
Gamestop refused to do this, and made me cancel the order and put a new one through. It sounds like that's what happened here on a wider scale, as I heard Game were cancelling "duplicate orders", which I guess is what it would look like in that situation.
It's ridiculous though, as they should be able to clearly see the first order was never processed to completion, and recognise that it isn't actually a duplicate after all.
@wmmbus a glance at Metacritic shows that a looooot of reviews so far have been in the 8/9 bracket, so clearly they're not alone.
Obviously this isn't going to mean much to people who simply can't stand the genre / franchise, but early indicators are that for what it is it's at least a pretty decent game.
While most of them are a little purse-like, I do think the brown one looks pretty smooth, and being a sucker for things like this (I just paid through the nose for the official Amazon leather Kindle cover) I will almost definitely grab one on pay day!
EDIT: That said, once you add an extra $10 for international delivery, you're looking at £45+. I could spend an extra £15 or so and get a 64GB memory card...
@Cleric20 awesome! I'd planned on holding off on buying any more new releases until next year, but I might have to bend that for this one.
I don't want to pick up something like Fallout that requires real commitment when I've still got The Witcher staring at me from my backlog, but this seems like the perfect pick up and play game to enjoy in small doses between other games, where you don't need to commit to it to enjoy the best it has to offer!

Goddamit, just realised I've been getting Dark Cloud and Dark Chronicle the wrong way round
Also the PSN servers must be riddled with people downloading FFVII, because it's only 4GB but taking forever even on my fiberoptic wifi...
Re: Talking Point: Did PlayStation Experience 2015 Meet Your Expectations?
@kyleforrester87 updated now, and FFVII HD comes with a free theme.....which has all the FFVII menu sounds effects and sets your background music to fricking AERITH'S THEME (the awesome piano collections version)!!!
This download needs to hurry up...
Re: Talking Point: Did PlayStation Experience 2015 Meet Your Expectations?
Overall fairly meh. HOWEVER, Ni No Kuni 2 absolutely made it for me, it looks absolutely incredible!!!
Now, hurry up and get Bastion vita, Dark Cloud, Rogue Galaxy and FFVII HD up on the EU store!
Re: Hands On: Has Just Cause 3 on PS4 Blown Us Away?
Re: Final Fantasy VII PS4 Trophies Unleash Their Limit Break
Re: Final Fantasy VII PS4 Trophies Unleash Their Limit Break

After finishing The Order and Metro Last Light earlier in the week, I've made a start on Wolfenstein TNO today, which I picked up along with The Old Blood for around a tenner altogether in the sales! Really enjoying it so far, gotta love dual wielding! Got Alien Isolation on the way too, so looking forward to that

Re: Sony Not Looking to Profit with PlayStation VR Hardware
I reckon it'll find an ok initial install base with anything up to £150, but more than that as a starting price and it'll struggle.
