Disco Elysium supposedly sometime in March

I'm not nearly as bothered about this as I was in the lead-up to launch. Most of my gaming on my PS5 has been PS4 stuff from an external SSD.

By the time I have enough PS5 only games that all need to be on the internal drive at the same time, the price of adding a compatible M2. SSD should be better too.

Not really bothered about FF7 only being PS4...I didn't think the PS5 upgrade shown last night looked all that, they won't get any extra money out of me. I'll just play the free version and move onto other stuff.

@Voltan yeah none of them are really my type of game.

As someone who remembers playing through the original FF7 on my PS1, strategy guide in hand, I'm curious about the remake although seems to have garnered pretty mixed views.

Not into VR, puzzlers or souls derivatives...but hard to argue with the value on offer again this month.

No Disco Elysium then? That rumour seemed too good to be true, but still...a little sad.

People saying the price isn't relevant or important:

If the game launched at £100 would it still be brilliant? What about if were £200? Still a great game and day one purchase?

Like it or not, the pricing of a game IS that important. It's not even a case of whether an individual can afford it or not....it's whether there is fair value in the purchase. Without this concept, we'd all go out and spend every last penny on anything and everything 'because price doesn't matter.'

Housemarque will learn this the hard way, however good the game may be.

£70 though? Should have priced it more reasonably because I'm gonna wait for it to hit ps plus now, or maybe a super deep sale.

What's the big secret in not telling us what the March PS Plus games are, Sony? Redeem yourselves for that truly awful State Of Bore by giving Disco Elysium Final Cut as one of the games next week.

@zebric21 Is true! Apart from Astro's Playroom, I've just been playing PS4 stuff on mine, and most of that not even enhanced for the machine.

Was a Day One buy because I'm a tech nerd but, even three months on, the console is about as far from an 'essential' purchase as you can get imo!

@Gmork___ yes, been waiting ages for it! middle of a new farm on Stardew Valley with the 1.5 update right now but it'll be next on the to-play list. 👍

@JapaneseSonic I don't appear to own Hue so that's good to know. Someone else here is even recommending Dear Esther despite me thinking it's just a walking simulator, so collection 4 is the one for me.

Have had Night In The Woods in my wish list for ages...it's finally on sale for the first time in 18 months and 50% off is not bad at all.

Also, Oxenfree at 79p? Don't mind if I do.

£1.24??!! Wow. Collection 4 is the best imo - Flame In The Flood Complete Edition is worth it alone for that price, and Hue doesn't look bad either.

@RBMango can't play VR at all for similar reasons. People often comment about how you get used to it and any motion sickness improves over time, but as someone who gets queasy in some first person games, let alone VR, it ain't gonna happen.

For anyone who doesn't know what bad motion sickness is like, it feels (for me) exactly like a bad hangover, and can last similar amount of time! .

So obviously, hard pass for this, but very interested in seeing the tech improvements when it finally arrives...2023?

@ZeD would love that to be the case, very curious about Disco Elysium....might be something I love but could also bounce straight off it. So would be perfect plus game for me.

@KnightRider1982 does work, just down occasionally and slow even when it does.

@ApostateMage if it was grindy originally, it was grindy x10 last time I played it a year or so ago before trading it in - I assume it's even more so now!

And unlike, say, Stardew Valley, where even the early game grind is enjoyable...this sure as hell isn't once the novelty wears off.

@sanderson72 Seems to work fine for me, with prices and everything.

Having said that, I always use psprices for everything to do with browsing, wishlists and sale pricing and just pop onto the store for the actual purchases. Far better!

After being hyped for the last year or so before it came out, I'd actually forgotten all about it until I saw this story!

And I honestly couldn't care less about it now - it's not even on my radar if they do patch the thing up to somewhere near playable. Too many properly developed games waiting for my attention.

Stardew Valley has sucked me right back in with the new update.

Already tried the beach farm for a dozen or so hours, but probably going back to the comfort of the forest farm on (yet another) new save. Can see this game occupying all my time for the next couple of months.

So my PS5 is being really taxed, and I'm making full use of the power of my new console. Not. 😃

@Daleaf was on it for hours again myself today with a new beach farm...amazing game. Despite having multiple farms with literally hundreds of hours on them, it never fails to be addictive all over again with these updates.

Obviously Eric Barone is a very wealthy guy from this game, deservedly so, but he could easily have charged £5, £10 or more for these big updates and most of us would have still felt it was exceptional value.

I was just about to start this, before the 1.54 Stardew Valley update dropped last night (there goes another couple of hundred hours no doubt) but I'll probably wait for at least the spring update now before firing it up.

Very tempted by Ace Combat 7 at this price...but it feels like a PS Plus game-in-waiting too much!

13 Sentinels too...but too many games on backlog and Stardew Valley 1.5 imminent...not ideal moment to head into something as big as that.

Do you need to own Hitman 3 in order to get the game help on the previous two games if playing them on a PS5?

Can't wait for this. Will be interested to see the price point though. I don't believe they'll be dumb enough to 'do a Returnal' and go for £70.

In fact, I'm just going to put all such physical peasants on instanr ignore and thus avoid having to read any more of the tired old arguments they whine out!

@thefourfoldroot a lot of us just have no interest in physical games any more.

in my case I would never give up the convenience of not having to swap around discs anymore, especially with the speed that PS5 loads and swaps between gsmes. I couldn't care less about trade-in. I bought a PS5 digital because I haven't used a disc for years.

And yet, whenever there's an article on here for digital sales, you can guarantee a physical zealot will pop up in the comments to tell everyone like me that they're wrong, that the sales are crap, that they'll never give up discs, blah blah blah.

Between this, miles Morales and now the PS5 version of Control, I'm totally sold on 60fps...whatever sacrifice that means to ray tracing or what not. When I go back to 30fps and rotate the camera it just looks like a blurry judder, and actually makes me feel a bit queasy.

Thank goodness we'll have the option at least on most games from now on by looks of it!

Oh, and God of War is absolutely amazing in this new mode. Only weird thing with this game on the PS5 is that the feedback when you call the axe back and it reaches your hand doesn't seem to feel quite right on the dualsense compared to the PS4. Small price to pay though.

This is good news for those of us holding off on Hitman 3 for a better price - likelihood of rapid price discounts and sales has just gone up.

I prefer Pinball Arcade, I grabbed all the Williams table packs before they lost the license for them couple of years back and it's still a lot of fun. Great physics and accurate tables.

People unhappy about it being given away after choosing to buy it is sunk cost fallacy at its finest. If you bought Control Ultimate in the black friday sale or whenever, then you have the game and that money is spent.

Whether the game is now given away on Plus is irrelevant; it doesn't affect a decision you made in the past and that you cannot change.

Wishing you had a retrospect-o-scope never helps, it only hurts. And if you're unhappy at the thought of other people getting it cheaper than you did, well that's just bitterness and that's even worse for your mental state.

Mine is likely to be running Stardew Valley for the next couple of months once the 1.5 update arrives. Next gen FTW!

@Max_the_German same. I'm so glad I don't feel I 'have' to get all the trophies.

I guess simply getting them is its own reward for some people, but I'm like you - I'd rather just spend the time I want to spend on a game and then move on, without stressing about finishing all the trophy stuff first.

I'm both excited and apprehensive about reading reviews of this. Definitely going to be a lot of skimming going on because these games are always at their best when you go in blind.

I remember checking out the pc reviews for this when it came out, looks a fun little game. Will grab it for half price or somewhere around that later in the year.

@HeeHo yeah absolutely. I love gadgets in general and PlayStation particularly so, hence I got mine on launch. But from a dispassionate, neutral viewpoint, waiting until at least late this year makes far more sense.
