If you've been busy throwing random objects at witnesses to your botched assassinations in Hitman 3, you may have noticed an update hit the PlayStation 5 yesterday. This new patch, which takes the game to version 1.002, adds some cool functionality, but you wouldn't know because you can't see patch notes on PS5. Fortunately, IO Interactive has your back.
The developer has provided an explanation for what this update does on its website. With this new patch, Hitman 3 supports PS5's Game Help feature. This system-level function, only available to PS Plus members, uses Activity Cards to provide tips on specific objectives in their games, with short written hints, screenshots, and videos pointing you in the right direction. IO Interactive has embraced this feature with both arms; it has added Game Help for every mission across the World of Assassination trilogy. That means Hitman, Hitman 2, and Hitman 3 all now have step-by-step guides for each stage.
This is all of course optional assistance, and doesn't affect the games themselves. Still, it's good to see third party teams utilising all of PS5's bells and whistles. It's not something everyone will use, but we're sure it'll help a good few players make some progress.
Will you be using Hitman 3's new Game Help functionality? How much have you used Game Help on PS5 so far? Lend a helping hand in the comments section below.

Do you need to own Hitman 3 in order to get the game help on the previous two games if playing them on a PS5?
@ShiningStar well yes, its a patch for Hitman 3
Personally I would never use it in this game as it kind of goes against what this game is all about
Activity Cards are a great idea. Its this kind of innovation that sets Sony and Nintendo apart from MS.
Cool. I haven't used game help in any game yet but it's a nice feature and it's good to see devs using it.
@carlos82 yeah, dumb of me. I read the bit about getting the help in hitman 1 and 2 and didn't engage brain lol
This is cool! Great to see it supported by a third-party!
This is great, I hope the feature comes to lots of games. Also it would be nice for the PS5 Control Center to have a browser button, to jump in for a web answer while in game. Juggling phone, controller, glasses, headphones, etc. to find an answer when I am stuck is always very clunky.
