"EU users should use this link, but US readers will have to wait a little longer..."
Still stings that the UK is no longer included with this statement ;/
@ShaiHulud
Except that the link totally works in the UK lol
Ace Combat is indeed a bargain. I picked it up on disc very cheaply, but have yet to play - oh the tempting convenience of digital vs. further expenditure.
No surprise to see Dark Souls Remastered at its perpetual sale price of £10.49. Will it ever dip lower?
Hey all ...so, is Dragonball Z Kakarot any good ? Worth a punt ? ....I must say I know nothing about Dragonball Z so appreciate I'm not the target audience
Ace Combat 7 is an absolute steal at £6.99, especially if you have a PSVR, the VR missions although short are excellent!
BUT...
The Deluxe version is still for sale until the 18th Feb for £18.99, where you get the season pass too, but also the
Ace Combat 5 remaster!
This is the only way to get it and apparently due to a quirk in the system is still available from the UK PSN store, it should show in your library once deluxe version bought.
If you do buy the regular version then there is no way to get the deluxe version later, it is locked out, so think carefully if you want the cheaper Ace Combat 7 or more expensive but BOGOF Deluxe version with Ace Combat 5 included too.
Ni No Kuni 2 at £6.71 and Fist of the North Star for £7.99 look like good prices.
Are they worth picking up, anyone recommends?
@Futureshark
Didn’t know this, will take a look, thanks.
This is one aspect of the store that persistently frustrates me - that there is commonly not an option to upgrade to a deluxe version of a game. Granted, some games do offer this, but in this instance it’s absurd that your purchasing decision affects your ability to obtain other content. Penalised for spending less?
@Futureshark NNK2 is a good game, especially at that price. I don’t like it nearly as much as the first game, but it’s still enjoyable.
Although you'll complete them in about an hour, the vr missions in ace combat is some of the best vr you'll ever play.
13 Sentinels was AMAZING!
I'm also glad I went in without further research than then initial trailer. It's the type of game best experienced with as little foreknowledge as possible so if you've had the inkling that you might like it trust your gut and go for it!
I bought 13 Sentinels full price. Do not regret it. One of last year's, heck last gens, best titles.
@Futureshark not a patch on Ni no kuni 1 in my opinion, but its still a brilliant game and a steal at that price. Lofty is a poor mans Mr Drippy.
The kingdom building feature was pretty addictive
@Mintie
Thank you for that - you’ve sold it to me. Plus I was going to do a bit of research but you’ve convinced me otherwise.
Very tempted by Ace Combat 7 at this price...but it feels like a PS Plus game-in-waiting too much!
13 Sentinels too...but too many games on backlog and Stardew Valley 1.5 imminent...not ideal moment to head into something as big as that.
Really want 13 sentinels, but i just bought Ys 9, and have Persona 5 strikers and Yakuza like a dragon on preorder, so might wait this time out
I've been meaning to scoop up Odin Sphere and Vespiria. Perfect timing
Too many sales recently. I find myself buying too much to play eventually, but it's nice to have all the games go on sale and build up the library...just trying to find the time to play is a different story!!!
How ln earth is Ace Combat only 7 pounds in UK, 20 dollars in US but 20 euros in EU? How come the EU prices are more than twice as expensive?
@Futureshark Can't recommend Ni no Kuni 2 highly enough. Brilliant game with some small flaws (not enough voice acting comes to mind).
@Futureshark I really enjoyed Ni No Kuni 2 and agree with @Rob_230 that the kingdom building was excellent. It’s pretty simple but still has that addictive quality that makes you keep playing. Definitely worth a try at that price.
@Futureshark fist of the North star is great ,its basically like the yakuza games but more mental, and as others have stated nnk2 is good just not as good as the first.
Tempted with 13 Sentinels. I have plenty of games for now, though. Maybe if it was just a little cheaper. 😄
@Th3solution discounted PSN credit from shopto takes it down to £22...not that I'm encouraging you to add to your backlog or anything 😃
I bought odin sphere. Brand new on ebay.i play it on ps3 now will play it on ps4.i didn't beat ir on ps3 but it was a amazing game.graphics is amazing.one of the best looking games i ever play.story is good also.ni no kuni is amazing also.both games.word up son
Ace Combat £7 no brainer....now then Captain Tsubasa: Rise of New Champions or DORAEMON STORY OF SEASONS.
@Futureshark Thanks for the info.
I went for Kingdom Hearts - All in One for £22 ish or whatever it was, insanely good deal!
Can my backlog handle it?...
Let's just say I'll probably just let the wife play that one
Gonna snap up Ace Combat 7 at that price ready for a rainy day.
@ShiningStar Thank you! You've just given me the justification not to spend 7 quid! Pretty skint at the moment, so this is a good thing.
I recently bought Sakura Wars on PS4 for the same price and have Persona 5 Strikers preordered on Switch, so I think I'll be waiting on Aegis Rim. It'll hit $19.99 eventually, and I'll be there when it does.
Might be difficult resisting generations worth of Kingdom Hearts games for $25, though.
Sakura Wars is tempting. I definitely recommend 13 Sentinels, just finished it some weeks ago. Amazing game.
@naruball Yeah the VO was my biggest issue too. It felt like the team just ran out of budget, and i found it really jarring jumping between voiced sections and text, almost at a whim. Id have preferred one or the other ultimately.
@Ralizah if it helps, e.g. if you're not going to play it right now but don't want to miss the deal, it's very unlikely that KH: All in One won't be discounted again soon. It's been reduced down to around the £25-£30 mark (insert alternative currency here) 6 times since Jan 2020 (not including this time). This is the first time it's gone quite this low, but not necessarily the last
@Rob_230 yup. My thoughts exactly the entire time I was playing it.
No Persona 5 Royal sale?
Just FYI, 13 Sentinels plays quite well on your phone using the PS RemotePlay app. You don’t even need to use a DS4. The screen controls work just fine.
@Futureshark
Unless I’m missing something, I don’t see any mention of the remaster on the store description. I’ve seen it mentioned elsewhere as a pre-order bonus. Was it added as free content at a later point?
Sales like this always remind me I'm really not into Japanese games.. Even Metal Gear Solid was too 'japanese' for my taste. to each his own I guess.
@Vacuumator
Yep it was a pre-order bonus.
But apparently it's still available, just not advertised.
If you buy the Deluxe version then Ace Combat 5 remaster (renamed to The Unsung War) appears in your library ready to download.
Attack on Titan is huge right now international and you all didn’t put it out for sale... like come on man I literally been tryna avoid paying full price for tha game but you put titles that’s normally always on sale like wtf dude.
Fire Pro Wrestling World Deluxe for 20 squid (from 75) yay or nay?!
@Futureshark
Is Ace Combat 5 also included in the separate season pass purchase, or is it tied to the Deluxe Edition only?
Danganronpa is such a great franchise, dumb for 3 to get so meta at the end, I know why I'm playing these games, now stfu and make more
@Vacuumator
Well this is what happened to me, I hoovered up the season pass in the hope that it would upgrade me to the deluxe edition and therefore unlock Ace Combat 5.
But no, you can only get Ace Combat 5 when you buy the Deluxe edition, the season pass doesn't upgrade standard edition.
It seems that in the deluxe edition you also get 8 special emblems that can't be got separately, which separates it from having standard and season pass.
Here's a link to psnprofiles where they are discussing it.
https://forum.psnprofiles.com/topic/74352-game-is-still-available-through-deluxe-edition/
@Vacuumator you can always buy the season pass later, but it's better to wait for the edition with the season to go cheap since season pass are always expensive (sometimes they are even more expensive or the same price as the edition of the game that includes the season pass lmao)
