@Orpheus79V official reviews are just as bad. many of them are borderline bribery. They don’t want to damage their relationships and they get free perks and flown out to events as compensation.

Won’t be surprised if they charge $70 for this game again. Sony is all about milking the same batch of hardcore fans over and over these days.

@Diowine @naruball What should I praise Sony for? They have literally released nothing this year. Spider-Man 2 is coming and that’s it. Where are the games? Where is the variety? Easily the worst year of PS5 first party thus far and nobody wants to speak up, they just accept mediocrity.

PS3 was starting to swim in first party exclusives after 3 years. Games like Killzone 2,Infamous,and Uncharted 2 were coming out.

@naruball barely. I pop in once in a while to see if Sony’s first party has announced anything interesting and unexpected but they never pull though. Night and day from what Nintendo is doing nowadays.

People overrate how popular Final Fantasy is. FF7 remake still hasn’t sold 10 million yet with insane hype off a classic game.

@Triumph741 A good chunk of the people who watched wrestling during the attitude era were not actually wrestling fans. They watched because it was trendy and once the trend ended, they left. (UFC became the new trend)

Remember how limp bizkit was the most popular band in the world at one point? Basically the same thing. people got off the bandwagon.

@Triumph741 ratings have declined but they have fluctuated and not gone straight down. They rose again in 2005-6, then started to decline again slowly in 2007.

More people stopped watching from 2000-2 then the rest of the entire decade combined. 2006 was their best rated year since 2002.

@Zisssou the sales will show how much this isn’t actually true. Most 20 somethings never even played no mercy, they grew up on the PS2 games.

@truerbluer Console gamers love being ripped off and exploited. Perfect example is the people defending the $70 price like Sony needs that money when they are making record profits,tv shows,pc ports,ps plus,etc

These corporations look at console players as piggybanks willing to buy anything and everything.

@ChrisDeku there were countless factors to those things, you can’t just look at sales and ignore everything else.

-The SNES competed with the genesis
N64 Competed with PS1
-3DS was expensive and had a mid gimmick(3D has never caught on)

• Wii U came out at a bad time and had a bad gimmick

If Nintendo makes a Switch 2 that is at least decent power wise it’s going to be a smash hit instantly. Especially if it can play games like Call of Duty and the likes.

@ChrisDeku Switch had a slow start at first. Then it was regularly beating PS4 at npd later on. It’s going to be worse this time because the switch was already a success coming off a high instead of low.

So Demon Souls is the only good PS5 exclusive game now lol. If you didn’t have a PS5 you really missed nothing tbh.

@Jamesblob I’m mentioning Nintendo because if you actually paid attention last time, once they released the Switch that started to eat into the PS4’s sales. And I expect it to happen again to PS5 with the next Nintendo device.

And yet the switch outsold PS4 despite a 4 year headstart…which is actually wild, and it still trades blows with PS5. Facts hurt I guess.

Such a bad show. Almost all these games are multiplats, they showed games people already saw and they barely showed anything AAA first party. For a 2 year wait? I had low expectations compared to the people expecting 10 AAA games too.

This is why I don’t trust what these corporations say…they manipulate things to go in line with what they want.

This is BS. Of course people will buy big established games, but nobody is buying these smaller titles for $70 other than whales.

@Andy22385 I expected way more actual exclusives that what we have gotten. The last game I actually needed a PS5 to play was ratchet, almost 2 years ago.

Sony wants people to double dip on virtually everything.

@NEStalgia It’s basically whales and fanboys mostly buying games at this point except the very biggest ones. Casuals and Regular people are not going to drop $70 on these smaller games.

I expect the bare minimum obvious with little surprises.

@IOI people paid far more than $600 for PS5’s from the scalpers already. This will sell on brand name alone.

I believe it too when they are selling that $200 edge controller and PS Premium still exists. And the pc prices and overall game prices. Milking as hard as possible.

@nomither6 Nothing in frontiers annoyed me as much as most of the treasure hunting stages in SA2 or the fishing in SA1. And Frontiers is not “boost to win at all”,the boost is not as fast in the cyberspace levels as in generations and the level design is not as narrow as generations.
