@Americansamurai1 I remember people expecting a showcase all last year and nothing. You have to expect the bare minimum from Sony these days,wouldn’t surprise me if Spider-Man is the only first party game this whole year.

@RonnieL There are still tons of people who damaged controlled and and made excuses for it though. There are people who literally support Sony like they are their parents and not a billion dollar corporation,and it’s embarrassing and does damage to gaming as whole.

Greed has been Sonys motto this whole generation. I bet if they raise game prices again on console another 10 dollars fanboys would say nothing

I know scalpers who have sold hundreds to thousands of these on eBay from 700-1000 dollars. They got their money already a long time ago. People thinking they have lost anything are delusional.

@djlard the older you get the harder that is, everything is doing their own thing. Some move, some have kids, some work too much etc.

Playing online is 10x more convenient.

@4kgk2 someone satisfied with 2 games, one of which is not even from Sony’s first party sounds like a casual to me. That’s literally nothing compared to the PS3 or PS2 era, that’s bare minimum.

Go back and look what was released for PS2 in 2003. Like 50 games.

@KaijuKaiser and what exactly are you playing on PlayStation right now? Guarantee it’s either a multiplat or an old game, because Sony has released basically nothing this year worth playing.

They have nothing but Spider-Man and FF16 which is a third party game, and will be on PC in no time. This is another lackluster year, and anyone actually paying attention sees that.

@MayaMousavi ok, and how many actual copies are the games selling? They don’t actually reveal numbers. Back in the day in the PS3/360 era they used to say REAL NUMBERS.

@KaijuKaiser Japanese games went from being a focus of PlayStation to a complete afterthought. What did you expect, everyone to be silent and just accept whatever Sony does? Since you care about sales the most I’m sure you’ll love their live service games.

@AdamNovice Sackboy was a run of the mill platformer inferior to LBP, Astro was a pack in tech demo and Destruction all stars was mid. This is how low the bar is now, it doesn’t even remotely compare to their PS3 output yet alone PS2 or PS1. NEW IP’s like crazy, not just endless sequels from the previous generation like now.

I would love to actually see real numbers of how many copies these games are selling. How do we not know a game can sell like 5K copies and chart? It’s all trickery and manipulation tbh.

When they are putting out $200 dollar controllers, $600 headset, ps premium, and charged $70 for a remake and all PS5 games regardless of scope I absolutely believe it. Sony has been all about milking their fans for everything and a lot of blind consumers will buy it.

@jrt87 Selling it wouldn’t change the fact they were purposely deceptive with their marketing in many ways. They sold their console based on “ exclusives” which they know have pc ports in development. Maybe you are fine being lied to, but I will hold them accountable. My PS5 is just a glorified PS4 archive.

I bought every single console since 2000 except series x because it has no exclusives. And it’s not a coincidence it’s dead last every month and people are selling it below retail price.

This whole generation was a waste of time and a giant cash grab.

PS5 was a giant marketing scam and nothing else. Worst console I ever bought, even Xbox One had more exclusives.

@NEStalgia and that’s just one reason of many reasons consoles are a shell of what they used to be along with everything being put on pc. Modern consoles are essentially cod and madden machines for kids and people who have no understanding of technology at all.

Any yet everyone swears PS5 is the best console ever,completely blinded by hype.

@thefourfoldroot1 releasing vr doesn’t change the fact that they have relied mainly on sequels, third party deals, and remakes this generation. This generation is nothing more than an extension of the last generation really. Returnal was the only good new ip this whole generation thus far and PS5 doesn’t even have 5 non cross gen exclusives worth playing yet.

I hope the deal goes through. This industry is stale and Sony is complacent for the most part.

People been talking about a showcase for the whole 2022. I was told they weren’t doing one because of god of war. Corporate Slaves will always move the goalpost for Sony and give them a pass for basically anything. This company in my eyes is completely costing off of the PS4.

@ChrisDeku Hi Fi Rush didn’t have Sony’s branding on it. This was toted as THE ps5 game for years and put on all the lists for “best exclusives”

@KaijuKaiser The sales don’t back up what you said. The last number given in sales was 560K and Sony has been silent ever since. 30 million PS5 owners now and doubt it even sold a million still. Most PS5 owners don’t even think it’s worth it, yet alone yet alone PC players with massive steam libraries and emulation.

I would have never bothered to buy this console had I known the list of actual exclusives would be paper thin and would all be ported to pc.

At least Microsoft was upfront, Sony is trying to pretend they are still doing the same thing they did from PS1-PS4 with real exclusives like scumbags to drive sales. They’ve been saying false truths this whole gen honestly

@KaijuKaiser the value for this game isn’t there. It was bad at $70, it’s still bad at $60. This game didn’t have anywhere near the budget as something like Horzion yet they expect people to pay for what exactly?

The fact that hi fi rush sold well proves people do want different games, but nobody wants to get ripped off buying them.
