Seeing Xenoblade 3 at the top was nice while it lasted

This game is legit, and I expect it’ll be here to stay for a while yet.

Feels like the first true rival to Smash Bros in the platform fighter genre.

Only F2P game I give a crap about, and I gotta admit, i'm hooked. I do hope Morty and the first season come sooner than later and the Discovery WB merger isn't...ruining what seems to be the first true challenger to Smash in the platform fighter genre, but can only hope to see if EVO clarifies things.

Eh, that's fine. I did get the last tier of the battle pass last night so maybe i'll finally take a break and play Xenoblade 3. This game is ridiculously fun though, I don't see myself putting it down for long.

Bugs Bunny is my spirit animal and I have a pocket Arya and Iron Giant as well at this point. Waiting for the right support and bruiser to join the game.

Honestly disgusted with how low Digital Devil Saga was, but I know I shouldn’t expect much from modern ‘ATLUS’ (Persona only) fans.

I remember back in the PS2 days when not only were Atlus games budget priced, half the time you’d get something neat like a plushie, soundtrack CD or art book just for buying the game.

What a different time.

One of my favorite games of the last decade.

Ichiban fixing his hair...I have mixed feelings, I liked how the frizzy hair is kind of like 'JRPG/anime hero hair' but applied to being a real life bad hair day situation, which fits with Ichiban and his worship of the heroes from Dragon Quest.

I hope it doesn't stay neat, i'll say that.

Still bummed there’s no Smash Bros on MainStage EVO.

I get why, but damn is its absence felt.

@Netret0120 I’m sure God of War will actually be the better game, by quite a large margin too, but it isn’t beating Pokemon in sales. Especially with the crazies that buy both versions.

Game Freak could and has sold half finished games that break sales charts, which is sad but proves the powerful pull of the pocket monsters.

5th is very good considering it’s a remaster of two niche games. Really hoping it does well enough for Bandai Namco to do more with Klonoa.

I’ll stick with One Piece Odyssey for my pirate game of choice this year.

The score is fair, but I do think the review sells the stories of the games short. In my estimation both the first and second games have some pretty good emotional gut punches, especially for games being targeted at kids.

Then again, I played these games as a kid so that could be nostalgia talking too.

Well duh. Inflation is rough and I’ve certainly cut down on my game spending. Just Xenoblade 3 and the Klonoa collection for actual purchases for the foreseeable future.

Gamepass has basically got me covered on other stuff.

I blew through it in about 2 hours. Was a blast but yeah, a bit short. Understandable though with the meticulous and tremendous amount of work and animation they packed into these things. The final boss of this expansion especially had some damn impressive animation.

Well the Xbox showcase had Silksong and every other game is going to pale in comparison to that in my eyes.

Lowkey one of my most anticipated games this year.

They completely butchered Ice Cap Zone’s music…

Dragon's Dogma 2 potentially being a thing is a bigger deal to me than anything modern Final Fantasy could do.

@PoopScoop I say I don’t like a lot of Sony’s cinematic games and I said the reaction to the Persona on Xbox news Sunday was pathetic. I stand by it. But I also don’t make assumptions about an entire player base, or about the circumstances that could lead someone to prefer one plastic box over another. Everyone has their own reasons but he constantly tries to logic his way to conclusions that fit his perception of things and how that must be how it is.

@UltimateOtaku91 Well you’d wager wrong, at least for me, but you’re constantly moaning about this and that with Xbox while making these big claims about the Xbox player base that reeks of Sony fanboyism.

@__jamiie I’ve also noticed that. NintendoLife or PureXbox will usually mention other systems a game is coming to at least once in their articles while PushSquare doesn’t.

@I_Go_by_Many_Names I agree. Phil isn’t perfect, and he is definitely guilty of corporate double speak often enough, but when you see what Mattrick did with almost burying Xbox entirely and the moves Phil made to save the brand, I understand why he’s well liked. Helps that he’s largely the one that made the moves that brought me back to Xbox with the legacy content stuff.

Doesn’t make this 48 hour embargo move any less weird and crappy on team Green’s part though.

@Rafie You were right. I don’t know how this makes sense though. Through and through this is a stupid thing to do.

As someone that likes Xbox and rolls my eyes at some of the users hyperbolic comments here…this was a crappy move that just stirred up drama more than we needed. They should’ve let the companies put out a multiplat statement on Sunday after the Xbox show.

Hopefully smoke and mirrors crap like this doesn’t become a new norm.

Until Dawn was better, but 5/10? I heavily disagree, this was something like an 8 for me.

Said it before and I’ll say it again, I’ll trust the people that have played the game and spoke positively on it over the peanut gallery comments sections that always paint Sonic in broad strokes and comment on how bad the games are without having ever tried them for themselves.

Ah yes, the usual comments of ‘why do devs bother with Xbox, no one buys games there’ when digital sales aren’t accounted for in these and the Xbox player base has by and large embraced digital purchases.

@DonJorginho The way Microsoft handles their legacy content vs how Sony handled it was one of the first things to annoy me about the direction Sony is heading. It’s telling how they’re playing catch up with that now and even then can’t do right by their PS3 legacy games.

@ThatMusicFan We can agree to disagree in terms of quality then, different strokes, because I doubt minds will be changed on this. I get more out of Gamepass than I see Sony giving me in terms of stuff I would want exclusive to their ecosystem. But putting Sony games on a pedestal as inherently better rubs me the wrong way.

@awp69 I agree that calling those games ‘lesser’ seems fanboyish or at the very least pretentious. I’d play 10 games like Death’s Door or Hades before considering a game like Horizon.

@ThatMusicFan Physical game sales don’t lie, but they also only tell a fraction of the truth. I do agree on Nintendo outdoing Xbox on output, but they’re also running laps around Sony in my book too.

Also gotta love being modded for calling Sony’s AAA output bland (which aside from Spider-Man I maintain that opinion) when far worse comments get made.

@UltimateOtaku91 Yet Yakuza remains a big draw to gamepass and has a lot of overlap with Persona fans.

Saying with certainty the Xbox player base will bounce off of these games comes across as copium.
