It's fair to say MultiVersus has been a big success for WB Games and developer Player First Games. The free-to-play platform fighter is in open beta right now, but even so, its popularity is undeniable — and it helps that it's genuinely great fun. The game's first proper Season was due to start on 9th August, but the team has decided to push that back.
In a string of tweets, the MultiVersus account confirms that both the start of Season 1 and the release of Morty, the next playable character, will be delayed:
No new date is given for Season 1 or Morty, but it's assumed both will arrive at the same time. Player First Games does say it'll be unveiling Season 1 "very soon", so we should get more details in the near future.
Additionally, the duration of the existing Preseason Battle Pass has been extended; it was due to end on 8th August, but will now remain active until 15th August, so you now have more time to nab those last few rewards if you haven't already.

Missinf Rick in the title

Rick is announced but has no release date, and is presumed to be arriving at some point during Season 1 This delay concerns Season 1 and Morty specifically.
I’ve already stopped playing. Very repetitive and progression is way too slow. It started to feel like a chore.
I don't know what Morty is doing here knowing that the last time Rick made him play a game it proved to be quite traumatizing.
No worries. I'm not into Rick and Morty much anyway. The game is very addictive. I now got a character I can use in each category!
Bruiser: Taz
Tank: Wonder Woman
Support: Velma
Assassin: Harley Quinn
Mage: Tom and Jerry
The characters all play so unique from each other that it keeps it fresh every time I play. Very impressive!
They should add a new tier with 2 extra skins on the Battle Pass

Bit disappointing as I'd been working to get the Battle Pass finished for the 8th and now there's no rush.
Goes to show how tough these service games are to maintain, though.

Should also add Jessica as a power-up
I've been enjoying it, especially using Jake a lot. Even though his specials might mirror Kirby a bit, his floaty aerial playstyle reminds of Mr. Game & Watch.

Eh, that's fine. I did get the last tier of the battle pass last night so maybe i'll finally take a break and play Xenoblade 3. This game is ridiculously fun though, I don't see myself putting it down for long.
Bugs Bunny is my spirit animal and I have a pocket Arya and Iron Giant as well at this point. Waiting for the right support and bruiser to join the game.

I didn't even know it was supposed to be fully launching yet I assumed it would be in beta for a out week & then get a release date later on
& I hate rick & Morty find them so annoying whens scooby doo joining doesn't feel right having shaggy without scooby
They can take their sweet time, still waiting for a story mode to be added.
