Lots of sixes lately on this site. I personally don't have the time to entertain any game that gets a 6, or a 7 for that matter. To many GOOD titles out there to keep busy with instead of using my limited time playing games that are considered NOT BAD. lol, not bad...
Regardless of the cover, it seems as if they have put a lot of effort in this game. I have a feeling it will be great, in the same vein as the Wolfenstein reboot, and who knows, there may even be a little story thrown in there.
Noone is trying HellDivers?? Have to say I was pleasantly surprised with how good it is. Easy to turn on and play a few missions, with or without multiplayer. Certainly the best game given away on plus in a LONG time, maybe since Resogun.
Woooooo, niceeeee. Another pew, pew, bang, bang shooter! I need another one of these about as much as I need excessive bowel movements. Guaranteed to be top notch as well, what with only needing 100k to create the WHOLE damn thing. Another example of a kickstarter trap IMO. Buyer beware.
And this is what happens when you put your faith in a kickstarter program. I mean seriously, how many of these kickstarter have either fallen through all together, changed dramatically from what was advertised, or delayed and pushed back for so long that the original release dates were seemingly lies? Trash I tell you, utter trash.
Probably the first month where none of the offerings interest me. I understand that plus is for INDY games now, just wish Hyper Light Drifter were up there instead, lol.
Done, and done. Although I will say it was rather lengthy and mostly non sensical unless they planning on adding a ridiculous amount of advertising to this site. (Please dont). Anyways, did my good deed for the day!
They should have waited a little bit, re-optimized and made it a ps4 launch title like WarFrame. I guarantee it would have done MUCH better because at the time of launch there wasn't a lot to play and it could have got the user base it deserved. Just poor planning IMO.
Never once have I intentionally looked at a trophy list and went about trophy hunting in a game. That being said I do have some platinum to my name, but I honestly can't even remember which ones. I am not sure why the he'll it even matters, seems like extra fodder thrown in for the obsessed.
@ShogunRok Lol, it must be, because that sounds absolutely ridiculous! Just jk, I am sure there is some slang type sayings we westerners use that make little to sense to you guys. Also though I do find it very strange the British obsession with Taylor Slit, I mean Swift. Unless that is just a Sammy thing.
@Bad-MuthaAdebisi if u don't mind me asking, where did you find your gatling laser at? I have been searching, but no dice, and I never use the Internet guides lol.
Have to say my hype is SLOWLY starting to come back for this one, and maybe Square can lure me back into this heir clutches. (Once upon a time they were my favorite developer, now they are an afterthought) I still can't get myself to pre-order this heir his though, I will definitely need to see some review scores first, unless they drop more footage and demos that just absolutely blow me away. I hope entry think the general is even better now than what was shown in this video, as that came from an derived build. crosses fingers
Wow, looks like they could release it today with that amount of polish! Slowly my fears for this game are subsiding and the hype train is starting to warm up! Now I am sure it will be released on 12/31/16, take that 2016 release date!
Downloaded and ready to start on this. Love a good mind breaker every once and a while. This is a game that all 3 of us (wife, son, and myself) will play and work on together. Three heads are better than one! Neither of them generally like the shoot em up kill kill type of games, but this one is something we can all enjoy together, and we are excited to try it today! Thx for the opinions and reviews, you guys are always my go to on new ps4 games.
@tenderbeefcake I also think that the over saturation of the fantasy setting in gaming today has led to my overall apathy towards the Witcher. I once adored fantasy type games, and I may well again. Right now I have burned myself out on them and have found more fun in the Sci Fi setting.
@sub12 Had my fill of Journey back in the ps3 days, and quite enjoyed it. Even got the white outfit for infinite floating lol. I thought the moving and floating mechanics were quite fun in that game, giving it a good game play hook to go along with the somewhat convoluted story.
@tenderbeefcake Yes, it seems we are the minority for sure, lol. In all honesty it is just boring. I mean the story lines are good and all, but the meat of it, the combat, is severely lacking IMO. The magic is hovering near useless Alot of times, and the melee combat is clunky at best. I just can't get into it.
I also think that to much emphasis is placed on Story these days. I do believe a good, original story is important, but I believe fun and addictive game play that keeps bringing me back is more important. IMHO Fallout is superior because of how it "feels" while I am playing it, and I could never seem to get that feeling from Witcher. All opinion of course.
@sub12 I still personally believe that Witcher 3 won said critical acclaim because of the way CDPR represented themselves. The big deal made about the DLC, the discussions on non DRM, and their general openness to media when it came to game development etc. I think they garnered quite a bit of good will for themselves, mostly rightly so, and the gaming media in general just lapped it right up like thirsty dogs. Was the game great? Sure it was. Was it a one of kind masterpiece and greatest game of this and last gen like many proclaim? Not even close. The loot system alone drove me crazy, among a multitude of other things. Look, it is an awesome game, but I wouldn't put it on any top ten greatest lists and I think in a few years many more will agree with my sentiment.
Fallout ftw. On the second play through and have found literally dozens of new quests, locations and things to do. Also figured out how to tag materials so it highlights in the junk. Really think Bethesda did an amazing job with this one, can't wait for the dlc and ps4 mod support.
@Mega-Gazz It's not just you bud. I tried to love this game, and it was probably the first game of this gen I was really really waiting for. Alas, I just couldn't force myself to finish it. Something felt off about it and I still can't figure out what that is. Anyways, I found Fallout to be MUCH MORE enjoyable, and at least with Fallout I am given a reason to amass so much junk!
Oh ye of little faith. The psvr will do just fine. It was never intended to sell 50 million units, it's purpose is to further the appeal of the ps4, and add more gamers to the mix. Sony is good with hardware and the psvr is by far the most consumer friendly, I could see them selling 1 to 2 million units in the first year alone, and plenty more after that.
It won't be an rpg, or open world for that matter. They brought her in to make a Star Wars Uncharted game. Pure action with cheesy comedy sprinkled in, cut scenes galore and 3rd person cover shooting with some force powers and lightsaber duels thrown in for good measure. As long as EA has the rights to Star Wars I don't think we will get an rpg version, to similar to mass effect and they want something as mainstream as possible.
Anyone mind telling me their impressions of the game once they get into the Beta? Really interested once I heard about the RPG elements this game has, but UBI still worries me in general. Thx guys
I think the trailer they showed was a true depiction, and I also think Sony jumped in to increase the production of this game when they realized how promising it could be as an exclusive. That being said, I have still been worried about this title and really really want it to hit a home run upon release. Just looks awsome.
I wonder if the download size of the AAA games this gen has anything to do with their availability on plus? I mean a 50gb game like Killzone offered for free to ALL plus members would have to put a strain on the network. Maybe I am completely off base with this but it makes sense to me anyways, lol.
Honestly, I like that we get indies and smaller titles on ps+. It is almost always games I would never buy but enticed to play because they are free. Also, there have been some real gems, rocket league for one. The big AAA games I want I almost always get the week they come out, because I have already researched them and read reviews and know if it is worth my money or not. I never even buy Indies anymore because I know plus has me covered on that front. Although, when hyper light drifter comes out I will probably buy that one, just to cool!
Definitely give this a shot. Always enjoy a good mind bender and this one seems to be in the upper echelon of mind melting madness! Never played Braid so I am going in as a Blow Virgin. Woah, something didn't sound quite right about that...
Doing a play thru now where I am collecting all the bobble heads before I do any of the main quest. Pretty awesome and pretty hard, and still finding new things even after so many hours logged.
I honestly have experienced next to no bugs, and I have several hundred hours and multiple play through some logged into this game. It crashed on me twice, but both times when I reloaded it brought me right back to where I was when it crashed. I would love that cell shade graphics mod that the pc version has and would also like a vehicle mod, that would be cool.

@get2sammyb 100% agree, the man is a legend, and this is his personal pet project. I trust his instinct if he says this isn't the end of the story.
