I can't wait! This is the first time I've pre-ordered a game.

I'm playing Horizon Zero Dawn for the first time! Beautiful game and combat is good too.

I can't get excited for both sides making acquisitions. It's much better if studios like these stay independent. Same with everything under Activision/Blizzard.
At least they're wording it like everything Bungie does will stay multi platform, but I'm afraid that's just PR talk. We'll see

Gameplay over graphics always

It's unlikely, but you never know. If it would come, I wouldn't subscribe. I like to make my own collection. Gamepass feels too much like a glorified demo service to me. I might sub for a month to play some games that are otherwise unavailable.

It's difficult. MS have the money to drop their 1st party games on gamepass day 1 (without DLC and with Microtransactions though). Sony just can't do that with Spartacus without seriously lowering their studios' budget. So I'm afraid they won't be able to compete on a subscription level and definitely not on a acquisition level.
What they can compete with is their quality, which is far superior. So I think they should just keep doing what they're doing.

I don't like the whole timed exclusivity that they've been doing and I definitely don't like MS buying up publishers with established multiplatform IPs. But Sony might be forced to make some minor acquisitions themselves.

Amazon, Apple, Google, Microsoft... They're all the same. The people believing that Microsoft is somehow better than the others for the gaming industry..lmfao.

After the contract is up it will become Xbox exclusive. I don't mind it as much as I did with the Bethesda games, but this is just a bad situation for all. People applauding this move are only thinking short term.

The amount of money involved is just obscene. And the move itself is absolutely disgusting. But I'm sure Phil Spencer will twist this for the PR. Glad I'm not supporting their attempt at monopolizing the gaming world.

The way this article is written is like they are so much better of then us/EU, but they're getting the Godfall: crap edition just as well.

I had a lot of fun playing the CNT. There was lots of exploring to do and you really didn't have to travel far to find something interesting.
The open world dungeons were all relatively simple and straightforward, but this was just the starter area. I suspect they will increase in difficulty and complexity further on.
Combat felt good as always with FromSoft games.

So far I didn't notice many elements taken from Bloodborne. There was an open world dungeon that felt like a chalice dungeon. And there was a beast boss. Besides that it felt very much like Dark Souls (have played part of the 2nd, currently doing the 1st remastered).

I did like that flasks have a chance to refill if you defeat a group of enemies. But I prefer Bloodborne's Rally mechanic where you regain some health by hitting enemies.

Anyway, if you like Dark Souls, you'll probably like Elden Ring. If you were always interested in Dark Souls, but thought it was too difficult, you'll like the spirit summons in Elden Ring. They make it significantly easier. Co-op is also not restricted anymore like in previous games. You only need an easy to craft item to summon players for help.

FromSoft games are pretty special imo. I really hated Ludwig the Accursed, cause I kept dying over and over and over. It just seemed impossible. But in retrospect he's my favourite boss ever now.

I wouldn't mind at all. The exclusivity war that's going on at the moment isn't good for gamers.

Such a shame.. I always liked PES, but this didn't feel good at all. I uninstalled it after 7 minutes. They can say they're sorry for the state it's in, but why release it then.
Guess I'll go back to PES 2019 (can't be arsed to buy a football game every single year). EA will never get my money.

It was okay for me. I can't get excited for timed exclusive games. GoW doesn't really excite me. I played the previous one a few months ago since it's in the Plus collection, but I thought it was a nice looking, average game.
I'm not into Marvel games. So only thing that I'm looking forward to is Gran Turismo.
Was hoping for some new IPs.

I'd be interested in an expansion. Really liked Ghost, though it's a bit repetitive at times. Great story though.
I'm also hoping for a Bloodborne 2 announcement at the upcoming State of Play.

@Palleon I used to race (AC, F1) with a Thrustmaster Guillemot wheel (from the 90s), but when my computer was updated to win 10 it didn't work anymore. Now that I have a PS I started racing again with a controller. In F1 it really took some time before I got used to it. You just need to stick with it and you'll get the hang of it. Though you'll never be as fast as with a proper wheel and pedals.

Does it have crossplay?

Shame, it looked cool in the trailer.

It doesn't have full cross-play functionality. You can't form parties with friends from other platforms. And from what I've read, it won't be there at launch either.

Really big meh from me. A PS3 fighting game if I'm not mistaken? A star wars game again...didn't we have one about a year ago?

Such a shame. It's always bad news when a company like Microsoft just straight up buys studios like that.
Ah well, Bethesda games are better played on a PC with modding capability than on a console.

Nice, crossplay is a great feature in racing games. I hope they'll add it to F1 2021 as well.

I hope Xbox does the same. Would make cross platform communication so much easier.
