I think Housemarque will be totally fine. Saros has been received well and it will hit it's sales targets just fine.
It's a niche game just like Returnal was and Returnal took a min to sell a decent amount of copies. I'm sure Saros will do the same.
I think Sony actually appreciates how unique Hoursemarque games are for their portfolio and doesn't expect Horizon or Ghost level sales. The game will do just fine and it probably gets the multiplayer DLC down the line like Returnal did.
I always like when the first party studios do these since they all look cool. My top two are Sucker Punch and Naughty Dog, with Insomniac right behind.
Atsu and Arjun would be a chill/dangerous pairing.
Ellie looks awesome.
Then Ratchet looks like he's having fun lol. Makes me want to see a Returnal/Saros Ratchet and Clank level which would be interesting.
I mean I get that people wanted to play Factions but they have to let it go. Naughty Dog is going to make Intergalactic and the game will probably be amazing/badass given there track record. I'm definitely excited to play it and it will probably be a GOTY contender next year if it hits 2027 like they want it too,
Then in a few years we get that first TLOU3 trailer that we all know is coming and it will be a amazing way to close out the series before they move onto another new IP along with Intergalactic(assuming that's going to be a series).
I'd rather Naughty Dog focus on top quality Single Player games and New IP then have to put a ton of resources into a Live Service game that might only hit for a few months and then be a waste and put more stress on the studio.
@UltimateOtaku91 Oh ok. Definitely sounds like a fun time, I can't wait to play it this weekend.
Definitely a good game to mix with Pragmata lol. Glad your enjoying it.
Also the gacha elements being generous is a good thing. I hope it stays that well. ZZZ is trying to better the gacha elements a bit so I hope this encourages them to do better.
@UltimateOtaku91 Glad to hear it plays well. I do love ZZZ but haven't played it consistently for a while(I still get the top characters for when I finally do).
I have NTE downloaded and ready to play this week so I'm excited to give it a try.
Competition between these two might be a good thing. As long as they don't do anything crazy money wise lol.
Are a lot of the activities you've done so far fun, and does the combat seem good?
Definitely one of my most anticipated games of the year and will probably be a GOTY contender since Insomniac always delivers.
Insomniac is probably working on other games like a new Ratchet and Clank and Rivet(which I can't wait for) and maybe a new IP but people have to realize that the Marvel games bring in a lot of money and Insomniac is amazing at them so far.
Spider Man 3/Miles Morales will be badass too whenever they reveal it, I'm still hoping for the Venom game but can totally understand if it doesn't happen given the sad passing of Tony Todd.
I get that people want them to do Resistance still but there is a reason why they stopped making those games, and I definitely enjoyed them. I'd rather Killzone come back because the Helghast are more iconic then the Chimera.
People having Superhero fatigue is just their preference but that doesn't mean Insomniac should stop making the Marvel games, especially if it's the most popular Marvel character which is Spider-Man(My favorite) and one of the most badass superhero's in Wolverine. I also think that they have another Marvel game in the pipeline with someone else as well.
I'd love a remake of the Ezio games. Brotherhood was one of the most fun AC Games I've played. Having your Assassin's help you out and fight with you was always fun.
Syndicate would be great too. Evie is probably one of the most badass protagonist in a AC game that people don't really talk about.
I do always find it funny how people say the game looks terrible from the one CGI trailer. Yes it did look generic as hell but I'd still wait to see a legit trailer of gameplay.
I do think the game will last like a few weeks and that's it though, and then Sony will be done really with the live service stuff outside of the Horizon game.
I love Naughty Dog and I was interested in Factions but I definitely think it was a good idea to move onto Intergalactic because if Factions wasn't a hit that could be devasting for the studio(as we've seen with several studios lately sadly).
Intergalactic will be amazing(probably) given ND's track record and then we get The Last Us 3 to put a great end to that series(potentially), then they move on to another New IP.
I feel like Sony will eventually fix the dynamic pricing and make it more even across most countries.
That's why every time I see a decent/good sale on PSN I always search to see if stores around me have a similar deal or better. It usually works as long as you always look elsewhere instead of just blindly buying off of PSN first chance you see it.
It's crazy how some people have already given up on this show after one pic lol. The cast is good so far and with people who are directing and producing the show it will probably turn out good.
Just have to give them the time to work on it and I assume the trailer might be at the VGA's this year or dropped at some point early next year before the first season.
Ronald Moore and Roy Lee together working on this is one hell of a combination, also Cory Barlog working on it too is awesome.
I definitely believe they are working on another Uncharted game. Whether it's Cassie as the lead(which would be a refreshing and cool take) or Chole(who is a badass) I think Sony has a Studio working on it and we will probably see it revealed in the next year or so.
Have it announced before we see info about the New movie. Just makes way too much sense. Nathan's story is over but his daughter can start her own thing or Chloe can have another cool adventure.
It's crazy how people can say a show is going to be completely awful by one pic lol.
Give Amazon time. I mean this show is probably a year plus away, and they do make good shows. Plus some of the people directing and running the show are top tier.
Ronald D. Moore (Battlestar Galactica, Outlander) serves as showrunner, executive producer, and writer of God of War. Additional executive producers include Maril Davis, Cory Barlog, Naren Shankar, Matthew Graham, Asad Qizilbash, Jeff Ketcham, Hermen Hulst, Roy Lee, and Brad Van Arragon. Emmy Award-winning director Frederick E.O. Toye (Shōgun, Fallout) will direct the series’ first two episodes.
So I think the show will be fine. Also Callum Vinson did comment on the post saying he will bring honor to the role of Atreus so give the kid a chance.
This trailer definitely makes me want to read the series that the game is based on. The first novel doesn't come out in English until June and I am definitely thinking about picking it up.
Also the game looks like it will be a fun and crazy time.
Probably his next game he's working on with Playstation Physint.
Sony and Kojima are like best buds at this point. I do feel like he'd be cool to hangout with for a week and watch his process. Some of the pundits I watch that cover games say he's awesome.
@UltimateOtaku91 I totally agree. Most people that game on Playstation don't know what or who Bluepoint is and don't know who Herman Hulst is at least.
Bluepoint getting shut down is awful but people are overreacting wayyy too much.
@AdamNovice yeah and at least Sony will try to keep some of them in the company. This does suck but you have to look at what Bluepoint was going to do after that game got canceled and if it was going to be worth the wait.
@AdamNovice You have to wonder if that's the issue. The game got canceled last January so I'm sure they were working with Bluepoint on another idea for a game. Maybe trying to make them a studio with their own IP vs just a remake studio.
I do wonder if they were going to have them do a remake and they weren't willing to wait 3-4 more years and bleed money waiting for them to make another game.
Or Bluepoint didn't want to do remakes anymore and that could have led to this as well.
This is a shock but the liveservice push is what killed Bluepoint. That God of War multiplayer game getting canceled and then Bluepoint being mainly remake/remaster studio kind of put them in a bind.
I kind of wish they just put them on Bloodborne or something else. I hope the whole team lands of their feet somewhere else.
This is all Herman's fault though and I'm sure that Nishino won't make a mistake like that
I'm definitely interested in playing Avowed but this review and from what I saw when it came out originally makes me want to wait for a sale, which should be during the summer lol.
That was easily the best State of Play ever. Start with Kena and end with the two God of War announcements. Good form start to finish.
Also that new Jrpg by Konami looked pretty good, sleeper hit in the State of Play. Also the game from Krafton with the chicken warrior looked badass.
Tokon looked awesome(Magick looked badass and so did Wolverine), Control looked cool, Saros looked awesome and Ghost of Yotei Legends. Also shoutout to Darwin Paradox, that game looks fun.
@Nakatomi_Uk yeah I had the same issue. Also the problem with Sons was the ending was so obvious after the first episode/first few episodes, they just dragged it out wayyyyy too long.
Ryan Hurst is a great choice for Kratos. He can play the big tough guy while also showing emotion during softer moments.
Just watch him as Opie in Sons of Anarchy. He was one of the best parts of that show which is considered one of the best biker/action crime shows of the mid 2000's. Charlie Hunnam was the lead in the show as well.
Ryan can definitely handle Kratos and this might be his breakout performance to be honest. He's also in the Odyssey(which has everyone in it lol).
It's kind of funny that people are just now complaining about this game. This studio has made now 3 games in the Ebola series(maybe 4). They've been around for years.
The game is obviously a ripoff of Resident Evil but some people like how it's old school Resi and janky. Even the scores on Steam are decent. It definitely is old school survival horror.
Should be interesting down the line. Netflix did say that they'll keep HBO MAX as it's own service and WB Movies will be in theaters for a few years(WB had a deal with theaters until 2029 anyways).
The real question is if the government allows the deal to go through(if they don't then Netlfix has to pay WB 5.8 Billion). I know the entertainment and movie industry is afraid of what will happen with this deal and rightfully so because if all the movies come to streaming only eventually that would be bad.
I'm curious what they do with the games side of WB or do they let them keep running as they have been or will they take a bit of direct oversight to make sure games like Suicide Squad don't happen again.
Got Metaphor Refantazio on Amazon for $32.99. I'm tempted to get Dragon Ball Sparking Zero for $30 and Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 for $30 off Amazon too. Question is will I play KCD2, I'm interested but that's such a time sink.
I would love a Scarlett Nexus 2 announcement. Really enjoyed the first one. If this State of Play is mostly just talking and some gameplay that will be fine with me, at least Sony is showcasing some Japanese games/Asian Country games that are coming to the PS5. Give the studios some time to talk/promote their games.
So I wonder if this game will make Microsoft Money outside of Playstation sales especially if it's on Gamepass on Xbox. I get people might sign up just to play this but I doubt it will be that big a difference.
I mean I saw a article the other day about the game selling 1.6 million copies in the first few days. Recouping the cost of the game and turning a profit already, so the game is a hit for Sucker Punch and Sony as it should be.
Probably my GOTY this year and I've only beaten two of the Yotei Six, working on Number 3. Props to Sucker Punch and Erika Ishii who played Atsu as well.
This game looks amazing. The violence and the gruffness of Wolverine are shown in the trailer. This is easily going to be a GOTY contender, I am super excited for this.
Let them cook for a year more and fine tune it and it will be amazing.
I mean the game is getting good reviews, medium reviews and a few bad reviews. It seems to be a fun yet difficult time and the humor is hit or miss. If you like this type of game you should give it a try, and if you don't it definitely won't change your mind.
A Unique/Divisive game that can be a fun or bad time lol.
Also Mike on Kinda Funny did a good live review of it on Kinda Funny Games Daily talking about it if people want to check that out.
Excited to see Saros, and Wolverine(if it's in the show hopefully). I'm expecting Tokon, maybe Intergalactic and I wouldn't be surprised if Insomniac drops a Venom trailer as well.
God of war too but I'm not as hyped for the 2.5D game until I see a trailer for it.
Probably going to be my game of the year. All of the trailers showing off the new weapons make sense because they will make the combat look different.
Personally I don't see where all hate or disinterest that people have for this game is coming from. If it's a better improved version of Ghost of Tsushima that has better combat, story and mission's/mechanics that's a huge win. Also I assume it will do very well for Sucker Punch and their next game might be another Ghost game or something new.
Think this will easily be a GOTY contender and get 8.5/9 out of 10s or even higher. I think a lot of doubters will be proved wrong about it being to samey too Tsushima.
Sword of the Sea was probably one of the most beautiful games I've seen this year and also a chill time. The ending fight was awesome and the following ending was somber yet a good ending.
I wouldn't be surprised if Sony buys Giant Squid because if they are having issues like this it might make sense. They make niche games but almost every game they make is a good time too.
Would love to see Sony get/partner with Vanillaware as well.
Actually a pretty decent month. Might finally play a new WWE game after all these years even though they are so different from what I'm used too back in the day now.
I still don't see how people are surprised Sony isn't doing much for the Premium part of the subscription. I have always thought they just do the classic games just because enough people have wanted/complained about not being able to play them on Modern Consoles but they still don't care enough about releasing a lot of them because they want people to play current/recent games and not old ones.
I do like playing classic games here and there(Rogue Galaxy, Kessen III and Battlefront 2 which are some of my favorite games ever and I play on PS3/PS5) but the Classic part of PS Plus has always just seemed like a add on they will never support enough to make it worth it.
I don't get what the issue is with the Popcorn bucket since it's a partnership with a movie theater dealing with classic Samurai movies that helped influence Ghost?
Also Alamo Drafthouses are awesome so this isn't much of a story.
Ghost of Yotei will be a GOTY contender and I'm sure Sucker Punch will show more of the story later on, I mean they have little over 2 months until the game comes out. I'm pretty sure the story is going to be a big improvement on Ghost(I did like the story in the first one). Story and Gameplay can form a good mix, having a big game with a terrible story is never a fun time.
I love the Infamous series and would really like a remaster of the first two games on PS5. Loved Second Son and First Light(Fetch was one of the best characters in the series in general).
I do hope Sony lets one of their teams remaster the first two games and maybe update Second Son/First Light. Then if they do well they could make a new Infamous, or just make a new Infamous in general.
The series deserves to come back with some updates/quality of life upgrades, also please add the Origami powers to Second Son lol.
I'm excited for whatever Cory is working on, just let him cook and show a trailer(or teaser) whenever the game is ready. The guy definitely deserves all the time needed, he's definitely earned it.
Plus the guy always seems super chill unless when he got stressed out during God of War which is understandable.
I'm happy he's going back to just focusing on the games after working on the show for 2 seasons. I wasn't much a fan of Season 2(Loved Isabella Merced, and Jessie) but I'm sure season 3 will be fine.
The man gets way too much hate for no reason nowadays. Intergalactic will be badass and whatever the second game he's working on will be great too. Just let Naughty Dog cook.

Re: Ghost of Yotei Gets Yet Another Trailer, This Time Showcasing PS5 Features
Probably going to be my game of the year. All of the trailers showing off the new weapons make sense because they will make the combat look different.
Personally I don't see where all hate or disinterest that people have for this game is coming from. If it's a better improved version of Ghost of Tsushima that has better combat, story and mission's/mechanics that's a huge win. Also I assume it will do very well for Sucker Punch and their next game might be another Ghost game or something new.
Re: Latest Ghost of Yotei Trailer Is a Quick Hit Before PS5 Launch
Think this will easily be a GOTY contender and get 8.5/9 out of 10s or even higher. I think a lot of doubters will be proved wrong about it being to samey too Tsushima.

Re: 'It Saved the Game': Sword of the Sea Dev Praises Sony, Explains PS Plus Deal
Re: 8 PS Plus Extra, Premium Games for September 2025 Announced
Re: Official Ghost of Yotei Popcorn Bucket Triggers Tedious Takes on PS5 Exclusives
People really can complain about everything lol.
Re: Sucker Punch Would 'Love' an inFAMOUS Trilogy on PS5
I love the Infamous series and would really like a remaster of the first two games on PS5. Loved Second Son and First Light(Fetch was one of the best characters in the series in general).
I do hope Sony lets one of their teams remaster the first two games and maybe update Second Son/First Light. Then if they do well they could make a new Infamous, or just make a new Infamous in general.
The series deserves to come back with some updates/quality of life upgrades, also please add the Origami powers to Second Son lol.
Re: Cory Barlog Busy on Sony Santa Monica's 'Next Big Thing'
I'm excited for whatever Cory is working on, just let him cook and show a trailer(or teaser) whenever the game is ready. The guy definitely deserves all the time needed, he's definitely earned it.
Plus the guy always seems super chill unless when he got stressed out during God of War which is understandable.
Re: PS5, PS4 Finally Gets More Picross, with a Hatsune Miku Flavour
Here I am still hoping for another Hatsune Miku music game on PS5. Love those games.
Re: Neil Druckmann Focused on Naughty Dog Games, Steps Away from The Last of Us TV Show
I'm happy he's going back to just focusing on the games after working on the show for 2 seasons.
Re: Legendary's Live Action Street Fighter Cast Is Crazy, By the Way
@AhmadSumadi Yeah I can't either. I already though this was going to be a fun type movie so he could just be a over the top evil Bison.
