@Rich33 Yeah I feel like they setup a game with the Atreus, Thrud and Angrboda easily at the end and a follow up game like that would be a good setup for the next Big Mainline entry in the God of War Franchise.

I mean watching Thrud fight in Ragnarok and not being able to use those moves was like "Come on Man", same with Angrboda.

I mean as a guy that's not really into Metroidvania's but loves God of War, I am interested but curious how this game would do considering how awesome Lost Crown was but that game didn't sell well enough.

If it's a smaller budget game(which I assume it is) then sales won't probably matter as much but it should be fun.

I personally still want a spinoff game with Thrud, Angrboda and Atreus. Thrud getting her dad's hammer(on top of being awesome in Ragnarok), Angrboda having cool powers and Atreus just being Atreus, that game would be fun. Sony Santa Monica could probably do something fun there like a Miles Morales sized game.

Little Devil Inside update maybe, Ghost of Yotei for sure. I'm guessing just normal updates for games coming later this year.

Maybe the next Resident Evil reveal to end it, or that God of War spinoff(Thrud, Atreus and Angrboda) I wish because two of those three would be cool to play as(Thrud and Angrboda).

I would say Wolverine or a Ratchet surprise but I can wait on those. Let Insomniac cook.

I'm excited to try this new update. I need to get back into the game, I usually unlock the new characters and stuff but haven't gotten past Chapter 2/3 since I always end up playing something else. I know I'd enjoy the new changes.

I do wish the one free S Rank Agent wasn't one of the OG 6 and it was a new one. I have all of the OG S Rank except Nekomata and not many people have her ranked highly(even though she's cool). Let me get a newer one that I missed out on lol. Come on Mihoyo lol.

@Deadhunter I mean Premium to me has always seemed like a way for Sony to get extra money out of who will hope to play more classics. I've had Extra for years and have never picked up Premium because I know Sony won't make it worth it.

I love Extra because they add games to it that I want to play. Premium doesn't do anything to make it worth it.

@Deadhunter My point was people paying for Premium should not be surprised that Sony isn't putting a lot of classic Playstation games on it. I feel like everyone knew when they announced that Premium was going to have PS1/PS2/PSP games on it that Sony would do the bare minimum with those games.

Sony will never do 4-6 games every few months for Premium unless a major change happens. Them releasing 1-2 games every few months and them sometimes being random ass games is something that they would do since it's the Bare Minimum. They sometimes do a lot if it lines of with a new game in that series coming out or a remaster.

People complaining about Old games(and I love playing PS2 games here and there) not being playable on there PS5 probably doesn't really matter to Sony. They want you to play last gen/current gen.

I've wanted to play Sandland for a year or so but didn't want to pay for it so it's good that it's coming to Extra, same with Soul Hackers 2(even though it's on deep sale all the time) and Granblue Fantasy Versus Rising. The Extra games aren't that bad.

I still don't understand how people get mad about the Premium offers. When Sony announced they would add Playstation Classics on the Premium tier I always knew that they would do the bare minimum because I don't think they care if you play PS1/PS2 games on a PS5 unless it's a remaster of those games.

I only play a few PS2 games on my PS3/PS4 nowadays and I'm sure Sony think's most people don't bother to play old games on the PS5, that's probably why they half ass the classics.

I do wish they'd remaster some PS3 Classics though(Infamous and Resistance, Killzone too).

This game looks amazing and I can't wait to play it in August. Beat the first 3 and I'm definitely going to hit credits on this. Great series, except for Mafia 3 lol.

Tommy Angelo would be proud that it's a linear story. Mafia 3 being a open world made that game so tedious to beat, fun yet tedious at times.

@Oram77 yeah I remember hearing about that a few months ago. I'm sure Remedy want to keep there Independence for as long as possible but I feel like it's inevitable. If Sony purchased them they would probably let them keep making stuff multi-platform just like Bungie(with Remedy being a better studio).

I really need to sit down and finally play DS1. After I finish AC Shadows and Plague Tale Innocence. I've had the game for years but never have gotten into it but the previews for DS2 look/sound amazing. I know it takes a min to get into it but it should be fun.

@LogicStrikesAgain I agree with you about Sony acquiring them. I'm surprised it hasn't happened yet because it seems like it would work well for both parties.

With Alan Wake turning a profit(not as much as they hoped probably), Sony giving them a little extra money to fund their games could definitely help.

I mean we all knew this was going to happen so about time that Rockstar came out and confirmed it. GOTY this year should be fun.

Yotei, Split Fiction, DS2, KCD2, Mafia(maybe), Clair Obscur and obviously some others in contention.

I am interested in Borderlands as usual, I just hope the Vault Hunters are actually cool in this game(and the Villain not be awful like the twins in BL3, they need a new Handsome Jack). They haven't made any that interest me more than Gaige from Borderlands 2(which is the best game by far).

Also I'm surprised Tiny Tina has never been playable. I mean she's a good yet annoying character and her game had a little emotional ending with the whole Roland thing, plus the game was good. We'll probably see her again.

Also this game getting a State of Play isn't that surprising since it will sell a lot like Borderlands tends to do and Sony is the marketing partner for the game. Whether you like Randy Pitchford or not(he's awful) the games are fun, yet mindless.

I am super excited about Ghost of Yotei. Ghost of Tsushima was one of my favorite first party games ever so I assume the sequel will follow suit.

I am happy they are depicting the Ainu people, which makes me want to catch up on the Anime Golden Kamuy(Great anime if anybody hasn't seen it).

I mean I love Killzone and I'd love to see them either remastered or a new game in the series, but the problem is will anybody buy the game. I'm sure Sony has been debating that with Killzone, Resistance and Infamous for years. I'd rather see Infamous make a comeback first and then Killzone.

I'm expecting either Killzone or Resistance, mainly Killzone which I think would sell better because Sony would have Helghan everywhere promotion wise. Although the Chimera from Resistance are cool.

Loved both series so I hope it's one of them.

I actually liked the State of Play. Almost every game in the show was something I'm actually interested in playing. Lost Soul Aside looked great, Saros looks like it's going be just as badass as Returnal. Tides of Annihilation looked awesome and is a new IP even though it's a third party game. Mindseye looked good starring Lincoln Clay from Mafia 3.

Onimusha looked great and it having the great Musashi Miyamoto as the main character is great.

I don't get the hate for the show at all. It's just people who always want to see First Party games every State of Play when those are made for showcases which happen once or so a year. You got one First Party game in this State of Play and other games I'm sure Sony has partnered up with to promote or have as Timed Exclusives.

So people just need to be patient and stop with the unnecessary hate. The show was good and had a variety of games.

Sony did say it's updates on games coming to PS5 this year(mainly) and that's what they showed, they didn't say first party at all. Good show all around and excited to play Lost Records next week on PS Plus Extra.

Should be a fun show that is news and updates of games coming to PS5. Doesn't mean first party games(yet) but I know people will have unreasonable expectations as they always do.

Just hoping to see some good updates/gameplay and maybe hear from some games we haven't seen in a while(Little Devil Inside, Pragmata etc).

I'm not expecting the game this year but I wouldn't be surprised if they release a trailer at the end of the year/at The Game Awards.

Insomniac has been making hit after hit so I have no problem waiting and letting them cook, especially after all the leaks in 2023. If you for some reason judge the game based off a extremely early build then you need to find something better to do with your time lol.

The game will be awesome, just let Insomniac take their time.
I do want another Ratchet and Rivet game though lol.

I'm glad the game has turned out well and will be playing it this weekend. I'm more or so interested in the next Samurai Warriors game then DW10 to be honest.

@AndyKazama I assume they might be in the sequel, since they probably won't do DLC for this. If anything you'll see the officer of Jin in the sequel under Wei.

I feel like the sequel will be up too WuZhang Plains which would basically be the end of The Three Kingdoms(before Jin vs Shu and barely Wu).

@AdamNovice yeah NCAA has been on people's wishlist in America for years. I got it when it came out(fell off it quick, but will get back too it one day). I am curious if the game next year will do better if it's the usual same ol same ol that EA usually does.

I do wonder if they'll eventually bring back NCAA Basketball too. That would sell too.

I'm not surprised that Burnice is the one people are complaining about lol. She does look amazing but if your complaining about not seeing her panties that's a bit much. Just look at someone cosplaying as her online.

I'm not surprised they changed her outfit a bit. When I first saw her I assumed that would be happening eventually, don't think Sony had anything to do with it. She is fun to use.

I did unlock Miyabi this morning so I'm excited to use her finally, and Harumasa.

I wouldn't be surprised if Playstation partnered with them again for their next game considering how big of a success Sifu was. That would be cool to see.

@breakneck that would be a good time. It depends on how far along the game is, also GTA VI which has everyone thinking about when they should release their games.

@Grumblevolcano For Ghost that would be a great time but I think it depends on what they have for the fall. Horizon 3 isn't for a few more years. The next game is probably the MMO style one.

I'm also expecting something from Bluepoint hopefully so that could change things.

@ZeD I think Ghost will be in the fall. March right after AC Shadows would be interesting though.

@UltimateOtaku91 that actually seems accurate. Borderlands is the only one that might change because of the scale/this one has to hit better than 3.

I think Sony going all in on mainline Spider-Man, Spider-Man Noir and the perfect Spiderverse movies is a smart idea. Beyond the Spiderverse and Tom Hollands fourth movie should be great.

Spider-Man Noir should be good too. Nicholas Cage should be fun/serious in the role.

The demo was fun. I'm just worried about the allied AI being terrible like in the demo and if having to break every officers guard/stamina bar down every battle will get tiring.

The game does look fun so I'll be playing it in January regardless but I do have my reservations.

I definitely need to finish this game. Evie Frye hands down for me is one the coolest/badass main protagonists in a AC game. Her combat in this game is so much better than Jacob.

I am interested in the Pro but I'm not going to buy a better TV on top of paying for the Pro to see the differences in the game.

I'm happy people are enjoying it but I'm fine with my Base PS5.

I am excited for the PS6 though.

I'm actually excited about playing this. I got into the Beta but didn't know because the emails went to my Junk Email lol, which I just found out this morning. So I'm ready to give it a shot, between this and ZZZ that will fill my free game quota for the winter.

I'd actually be interested in a Monster Hunter style Horizon game. That works perfectly with this series.

If they launch it in the summer or later in the year(Give it space away from Monster Hunter) Sony could have a hit on their hands. I don't think Sony will miss up one of their tentpole series so they are probably keeping close eyes on how the Multi-player game is being developed.

I am excited for Horizon 3 and can wait for it. I do hope we get chances to play as other people in it for short bits maybe. Seyka, Varl, Erend, Talanah with unique movesets/weapons would be cool, unless their in the Multi-player game.

Also their not really milking the series too much, especially if these spin off games aren't directly developed by Guerrilla.

A Multi-player game doesn't hurt Horizon at all, I mean hunting a Thunderjaw with friends would he awesome if it's done in a fun way.

I hope people don't overreact to this. Creative Differences happen. I hope Brian Does well over their with the Perfect Dark team(He's been super chill everytime I've seen him in a interview), and I have full belief that Marcus Smith can make a great game as he did with Miles and Rift Apart.

Mike Daly should do a good job too. I think everyone is excited for this game so Insomniac should take their time.

I love Death Note(One of my favorite anime's of all time) but that game is definitely something. I'm just glad that anything Death Note related is coming out.

Ghostwire is ok even though it's been on Extra for months.

Hot Wheels I've seen nothing but good things about, even though I'm not a racing game fan I might have to give it a try.

You have to think that the other heads at Sony/Playstation are only going to finish the Live Service games they have in the pipeline and then that's it. They can't(and probably won't) let Herman make another huge mistake like Concord.

Herman has done good things for Playstation but he has to own up to this mistake and not repeat it or he'll hurt the brand and his reputation even more.

Fairgames, Marathon and the Horizon Game should be it. 2 out of those 3 will probably be good if done right.

I think having a concise team in charge of helping the developers/teams that are making live service games makes total sense. I don't see the anger towards Sony trying to make sure another Concord doesn't happen.

Sony making a few live service games isn't a bad thing. I'm sure after Concord they are actually going to look at the games they have in the pipeline(Fairgames, Marathon, Horizon Monster Hunter game) and make sure they actually are in a good shape.

Them having a legit structure to help those teams and watch over them doesn't mean they'll make more, which some people seem to be thinking. I'm sure the other Heads at Playstation are going to make sure Herman doesn't make another mistake like Concord.

I am honestly excited to play this game and I love the Horizon series in general. I don't get the hate for the Horizon series besides people not liking Aloy but playing through Forbidden West right now and she starts to change for the better(character wise) compared to Zero Dawn. Also she's a badass.

Also the story and characters get better in Forbidden West compared to Zero Dawn. I know people complain about the story/writing.

The Lego game should be fun and I'm excited to eventually(years from now) play Horizon 3 especially if they let you play as some other people here and their(Cough Seyka Cough).

Also Props to Ashly Burch for the fun take on Aloy in this game. Whether it's Tiny Tina(Love her or hate her) or any other character she does, she always does great.

The second Fairy Tail this year I think isn't so much of a Turn Based game as the original. The Fairy Tail game's should have been musou style in my opinion because it just fits Fairy Tail.

I have been meaning to give Eden's Zero a watch but I've heard a whole lot of takes of it's good/it's not that good. Have to see for myself, hope the game is good though.

I'm glad Astro is doing well and can't wait to see what Team Asobi does next.

Also I can't wait to see the next Ratchet & Clank & Rivet game. I loved Rift Apart. I know it will take Insomniac a while but I think it will be worth the wait.

I'm actually interested to see how a Horizon Multi-player game would play. I assume like Monster Hunter, and if so then that would be fun.

I wouldn't be surprised if in Horizon 3 your able to play as some of Aloy's friends. Varl, Erend and especially Seyka for certain parts. I feel like her having companions in a lot of missions in Forbidden West kind of sets that up. You play as a friend of Aloy's while Aloy helps you out during the mission. Would be a fun time and change stuff up here and their.

The funny thing about Synduality Noir is that the Anime is actually pretty good. I need to finish the second part but the anime and character designs are cool.

The game is kind of a bit underwhelming. If it were following the anime it might actually be a bit better, but I know it's a cross media thing so their are probably reasons for it.

I do recommend the anime to people that like mechs, cool characters and a bit of romance on the side.

I do hope we get to see Sara in the game. Probably the best character for me(and always my romance option in Inquisition).

Kind of a shame it's only 3 decisions that carry over but hopefully the story for this is good. Cautiously Optimistic.

I am hoping that we see Cassandra, Leliana, Commander Cullen, Iron Bull and Dorian at least. Maybe one of them is a DLC character because knowing Bioware, this game will have a few expansions and maybe a character like 2 of the 3 games have had.

@Yousef- As long as it's not the hold R1 and press Square, Triangle, X or O type of system and it flows better. Just make the flow combat system flow better(had to say it).

I'm excited for the game. The fact that it doesn't cover the whole period is interesting because I'm guessing this is a stopgap to DW10.

I'm more or so excited for SW6 whenever they announce it. Which hopefully is next year.

I'm personally excited about the new protagonist and her new fighting styles it seems. Also it takes place during my favorite era in history(Sengoku Era) so I'm curious what the story will be and what Historical Figures we might see.

Having a "Girlboss" isn't a bad thing at all(If they actually develop the character). Eve in Stellar Blade was a badass and I assume that the woman in this game will be a badass too. I trust Sucker Punch.

Some people just need to go outside instead of hating.

@Yousef- After playing so much of DW9 and dealing with the bad English Voice Acting I was hoping they'd improve it. The game looks better than 9, I'm just hoping the combat is better or is it still the same flow system.

Hoping the Voice acting gets better as you play.

That State of Play was amazing. I'd literally play every game in the show if time allows(would even give some of the older games a chance down the line). Soul Reaver looked cool, although I think it should have been a remake.

Astro was pleasant to see. Stellar Blade getting anything new is great. Hell is Us was badass. The game from the creators of Lost in Random looked crazy.

The Ps Plus games were good too. 3 games I don't own but have wanted to play. Also adding the Last of Us to extra and Dino Crisis to the service is awesome.

Dynasty Warriors Origins looks great. The voice acting is still kind of bad it seems like in DW9 but I hope it gets better as you play lol.

The Horizon upgrade for $10 is awesome, and Lego Horizon looks fun.

Ghost of Yotei looked perfect and I can't wait to see what the Sucker Punch has done with the sequel to Ghost. The story looks like it's going to be crazy, plus you get a Wolf companion which is great.

I'd say 10/10. That probably the best State of Play they had in a while.

Also Dragon Age looked great(Day One for me) and Monster Hunter Wilds looked amazing as it has since it debuted. The VR games looked good too if your into VR. Metro looked awesome as Metro usually does.

I'm curious what their showing for DW Origins. I hope it's a release date because I am cautiously optimistic about it. They'll also be showing it at TGS in the Playstation stream which is nice.

This is actually a pretty decent show. It's updates on games we know about and maybe some new games.

I don't know why people thought it would be big games for next year. It's a State of Play. We might get one or two announcements like that today which would be nice.

People should always temper their expectations for a State of Play instead of overreact.

Still pretty excited for this show, and I'm fine being patient for info about the first party games. Let the studios cook and I can cleanup my backlog(Like a lot of people do in the fall and winter).
