Xbox's Next Round of PS5 Games Are Available to Pre-Order Physically

Sooo how many Mbs are on each discs? asking for physical collector.

Xbox Series X/S is performing abysmally, and at the same time Microsoft is saving this generation.

@Oram77 Not sure whether it's more or less than what the average Nintendo Switch 2 game-key card actually holds--much less those things' total memory maps...and that's assuming they do bother with a disc...

That Outer Worlds 2 price 😂, how is that costing more than Ninja Gaiden.

I wasn't aware Microsoft was publishing ninja gaiden 4.
I guess they do have one game that interests me. Will wait for a sale though.

For me the main advantage of physical is being able to sell the game when I'm finished with it, doesn't really matter how much data is on the disc....

Gears of war will come with 2 discs so that first disc triggers downloading single player content and the second disc triggers a multiplayer content download.

After the disaster of Tainted Grail, I just can’t buy games at launch anymore prior to reviews and tech takedowns. So makes little difference to me, but I’m sure there won’t be much data on disc either way.

I'm getting Gears since it has a reasonable price tag. I'll wait on The Outer Worlds.

I’ll be interested to see which are actually on disc and thus worth considering buying. Of course, not everyone is capable of forming their own opinion as to what business practices they prefer and what is unacceptable. Believe it or not, some users are so infantile they need their corporate overlords to tell them it isn’t a problem to have their ownership rights removed, and are incompetent enough to believe it. Apparently ‘more choice is best’ doesn’t always apply. Happens more often on the sister site, but I’ve seen the foolish idea floated now and again here as well.

Will wait and see what happens when they release, but at the end of the day they can still be sold at more competitive prices between different retailers and resold so it doesn't make the physical release redundant, even if its problematic for preservation.

That's always been the key difference for me and why i keep buying physical. I could buy for 70 quid on the store, or get games significantly cheaper both at launch or on sale at a later date, and if I don't like it or have had my fill, I have the option to sell it on in the future.

If these are simply Download Keys, I’ll 100% pass on owning any of these physically. There is simply no excuse to release these games without that actual game on the discs..

Ninja gaiden is probably the only one on disk

Only interested with NG 4 but i'm not pre-order. Gonna wait and see if it a repeat of Indiana Jones and Doom TDA shenanigans. If yes then the only NG game i will grab this year is Ragebound.

@Max_the_German how so , if they didnt pay billions for these games they would still come to ps5 , xbox would be on its arse if it wasnt for playstation owners buying their games,they know game pass isn't sustainable,its only a matter of time before these games are available on switch 2 that'll be where the real money is.

@lazarus11 should have been more specific, I mean the ps5 version. Even on pro it’s horrific performance wise. Being a PlayStation fan site I forget that everyone reads here, not just PlayStation players. The game itself is amazing but holy hell, the ps5 version is broken still. It’s a cyberpunk situation, but obviously that’s platform specific unless Xbox also has the same issues.

I'm not too worried about the specifics. If I can get something that lets me play the game, looks nice on my shelf, and can be sold or traded, that's a good deal.

I don't believe it. It seems all of these games are digital only on Series X. What a wrong world this is now.
But at least, I got my Gears of War Reloaded for free.

At some point I was worried that MS would eventually publish a game that I was interested in and would be tempted to pause my boycott of their products. Fortunately they continue to shoot themselves in the foot with these stupid practices. Thank you for making this boycott really easy!

At that price I will be getting Gears even if it isn't all on the disc, I would have done the same for Doom and still will when it gets there on a sale!
