I'm at the end of my tether with VR. Too often I'm left fed-up after being hoodwinked into adding to my collection. I wait with bated breath to see how good this one is.

@dark_knightmare2 I don't doubt that for one second. I read the article and you're right, the way the freakers behave sounds great. My point was that the human AI looks bad- like in the video where Deacon shoots one guy and a dude to his right literally stands there pointing a shotgun in Deacon's face but doesn't fire and just waits to be battered with a melee hit.

@WrightStuff yeah it really did. Anyway, I'm still hopeful it'll be a good game overall

I really want to love this, but the video has kind of put me off. The shooting looks off and the human AI is more dumb than the freakers.

This is going to bomb, which is a shame because I like the setting and the idea behind it. Were I not knee-pads deep in the division 2 I'd be quite up for getting this.

Strong Ys vibes with this, which is no bad thing. Combat looks a little sluggish, though.

This is why I love Push Square- well written, thoughtful reviews about quirky games that would otherwise fly under my radar. Will I play this game as a result, probably not; but did I smile at the use of 'ombré', most definitely.

@clvr Lombardo and Bozzio have both played in Fantomas, who are nuts and well worth checking out if you don't know them.

As for TMV album- Deloused in the Comatorium without a doubt. Pretty much a perfect album and I have fond (and very hazy) memories of seeing them perform it live after it first came out

The thought of using a walkthrough from start to finish is madness. If you’re that keen on experiencing the game but blindly follow a guide why not save yourself considerable money and just watch a walkthrough on YouTube or whatever.

I’ll use a guide if I’m totally stuck where to go and need a pointer, then I’ll put it away. Can’t remember what game it was, but I remember using a guide once and realised I’d started checking it every 5 minutes when I was even a tiny bit unsure what to do. It was ruining the game for me.

I might not have aged well but my ID reminds me of those lost years and I'm happy to keep it.

Incidentally, it's the same as my name here, so if anyone wants to hit me up for some online gaming feel free. I'm usually on FIFA 19, Battlefield 1, Rocket League, and Overwatch. And I'm spectacularly bad at all of them.

@MightyDemon82 yeah the score is amazing. Beautiful, melancholy and atmospheric, and suits the game perfectly.

The blurb makes me question whether the video is legit. It's so poorly written there's no way a marketing team would publish it- in it's current state, at least.

It is testament to how much I want VR to succeed and this game to be good that I actually breathed a huge sigh of relief after reading that first paragraph!

All these free updates are great but I had to delete the game as the space it took on my hard drive was getting ridiculous. What’s the total install size sitting at now?
