@Shepherd_Tallon Skyrim made me chunder after 2 minutes. This on the other hand is a thing of beauty. Intense definitely, but don’t be put off by the thought of motion sickness
Genuinely interested to see that I’m in the minority of not liking remasters. I’m glad other people enjoy them and I’m all for consumer choice, but personally I’d rather spend my money on a new game (I’d include complete remakes like SotC in that).
Often when I see news of another remaster, I can’t help but see them as cynical cash grabs or a lack of new ideas- but having read the comments here I’m happy to concede I’m probably not right to think this way.
Whilst this is undeniably cool, the fact it took 4 people from Media Molecule 52 hours to create it fills me with dread. I'm going to have neither the skill nor the patience to create anything! Still want it, though.
This definitely needs a demo or open beta (not sure if either are planned?). It could be loads of fun but I get the feeling people will pass on it (myself included) because the premise is so different to normal racing games. And it kinda looks really shallow.
@EVIL-C I’m not sure it’s a case of ignore it and move on. This seems to be a game about sleazing on women; given the current, justified, spotlight on such matters, I can’t blame Sony for not wanting to be a part of it- if indeed this is the reason they won’t release it. So far, nothing has been confirmed either way.
Thanks for the heads up. I’ve been toying with buying this today and was waiting for some reviews. Disappointing to hear it’s so shoddy but glad I resisted the temptation
Interesting to see how many 1st party Sony and Nintendo games are on the shortlists, and how few Microsoft. Not trying to fan any flames here, just can't help but think how glad I am that I didn't go Xbox this generation.
@Fight_Teza_Fight they're going to introduce yarn boxes to Unravel 2. You get a random length yarn that probably won't be long enough to complete the level. To proceed you need to grind over and over again or buy a pack of yarn cards which come with 3 randomly selected pieces. True story.
Bit miffed there's no VR game included, especially as they've just shifted loads of headsets over Black Friday. But Darksiders has been on my radar for a little while, so I'm happy to give that a whirl.
I've just bought a VR set so am hoping they keep with recent tradition and include one or two compatible games. Damn me for not downloading RIGS the other month.
PSVR has made me fall in love with gaming again. Better graphics, bigger open worlds, online connectivity etc- all these things have been great over the last few years but have never felt like the giant leap we've been waiting for, something to compare to that sense of wonder when 3D games like Mario 64 first came out. VR- for me at least- gives me that feeling and reminds me why I fell in love with gaming in the first place.
@get2sammyb as a recent convert to VR I'm loving the feature on this game, but as mentioned above it's a bit lacking. What do you think are the chances VR mode will get an update- perhaps even online racing? Wishful thinking?
We pathetic gamers should be grateful they don't increase the games by a dollar every leap year. That's some sweet free game time we're getting, folks.
I don't remember from the last gen version, but the audio in the remaster is all over the place- wildly different dialogue volumes and random ambient noises. I hope they patch it soon as I find it off putting with headphones on.
Still, really enjoying playing it again. Took a couple of hours to get back into it but I'm glad I picked it up.
@TheIronChimp I know how you feel. Just a heads up- you can get the same deal through very.co.uk and apply to have 12 months interest free credit. I did it last year to get a PS4 Pro and I'm about to do the same for VR.
"There’s a world not too far away from now where video games move from being a discrete, conscious experience to an indiscreet, subconscious experience"
I think he's referring to moving from consciously buying a copy of FIFA each year to a situation where EA indiscreetly shaft you by signing you up to a 4 year subscription without you even knowing.
I never really clicked with the original Destiny- so I'm not sure why I bought this day one- but I have to say I've enjoyed every moment with it so far. Completed the story last night and am looking forward to getting powerful enough to join a fire team and make use of my membership to the Push Square clan!
Special mention should go to Kronos Quartet on soundtrack duties. Those guys are amazing.

Re: Watch Far Cry 5 Video, Score 20% PSN Discount
@Ralizah hmm does seem to be North American only. Best I leave it for someone who can actually use it. Thanks anyway 👍
Re: Watch Far Cry 5 Video, Score 20% PSN Discount
@Ralizah I’ll take it... but is American only?

Re: Media Molecule Made This Cutesy Platformer in 52 Hours Using Dreams on PS4
@Octane Yeah I'm sure that's what I'll end up doing. Will be fascinating to see what people come up with.
Wouldn't it be cool if there was a share feature so you could collaborate with other people?

Re: Hands On: PSVR Platformer Moss Impresses in Opening 30 Minutes
Roll on Tuesday. Can’t wait. Plus I’ll be in week 2 of garden leave and I’m banking on this game to keep me out of trouble for a few days.

@VotesForCows I'd never heard of him before but I'd recommend a quick image search. He's actually a pretty cool looking monster!
Re: PSN Down for Many as Monster Hunter: World Launches
Just made up my mind to download monster hunter, so of course this happened.
Re: Guide: Monster Hunter: World Beginners Tips and Tricks - Everything You Need to Know
Great guide. Weirdly, this is making me more inclined to get the game than all the reviews I've read.
Re: First Vampyr Dev Diary Talks About Morality and Player Choice
@Quintumply Phew. I'll stop whittling this stake, then.
PS congrats on becoming senior staff writer!
Re: First Vampyr Dev Diary Talks About Morality and Player Choice
@Quintumply I'm curious, are you really as young as you look in your photo? And on a completely unrelated note, do you like garlic?
Re: The Raven Remastered Announced for PS4, Coming This March
Ok, can everyone stop with the remasters now, please.
Re: Sony Wheels Out New Commercial for The Inpatient on PSVR
Please be good, I need another meaty VR experience to get into. Though to be honest, unless this gets slammed in reviews, I'll be picking it up day 1.
Re: Ni no Kuni II Looks Great in New 25 Minute Gameplay Video

Or to answer you properly, no.

Re: Rainbow Six: Siege's PS4 Patch Is Busting Entire PS4 Consoles
How can a bug potentially wipe the hard drive? It almost seems malicious to me- like an unhappy worker adding some dodgy virus to the update.
