Re: Round Up: What Was Announced in Sony's State of Play Livestream for February 2026?

@LogicStrikesAgain There is the rare occasion where we'll be told ahead of time, but generally, we find out the same time as you in terms of shadow drops. We didn't know about today's new God of War game outside of the public rumours, and we don't have a copy yet.

Of course, we want to get a review out in good time, but in these situations, we just try to get them published in a timely manner. We've all got real lives outside of the job!

@JAMes-BroWWWn I had done maybe 30% of the side quests by the time I rolled credits, but they're all incredibly basic missions. You could probably get the main story done on its own in 35-40 hours, but you need the currency from them to be able to level up comfortably.

@Uromastryx @MrStark I really don't understand what either of you are expecting from these lower entries in the top 10 list; these positions are always going to come down to more personal taste of the staff. You're both acting like there's some widely agreed upon best seventh and eighth game of 2025 haha

@rjejr @PuppetMaster There are 5 difficulty options available from the start; there's not an unlockable harder mode after completion. There's an easy mode and then a casual mode below it.

I haven't tested the hardest mode, but the AI poses a fair challenge on medium, which is what I used for the review. I imagine the hardest mode is really quite challenging!

@KundaliniRising333 You have to flick coins at other coins without them falling off the table or colliding with another to score points. It's simple but I really enjoyed it.

@Rich33 You create your own map markers by identifying landmarks through the spyglass. You have to be very close to something if you stumble upon it completely naturally for it to be marked on your map.
