Re: Resident Evil 4 (PS5) - A True Masterpiece Made Even Better

LiamCroft

@caiol92 I played the whole game with the day one patch applied, which fixed the rain. I didn't really have any issues with it when actually playing the game.

As for the audio, the whole thing sounded fantastic to me; really atmospheric. I'm absolutely not an expert in this field, though, so it might be worth searching out more expert opinions on the audio if it's a big deal to you. I just used earphones plugged into the PS5 controller.

Re: Sony Wants to Make PlayStation the Best Place to Play Third-Party Games

LiamCroft

@themightyant I just like to know how long I played a game for, sort of like a diary in the same way Trophies can function. I know it ultimately a meaningless stat, but when I have one console that reliably tracks and another that doesn’t, I’ve decided to give my money to the one doing it accurately from now on.

I don’t have any grand reasoning for placing importance on playtime, I just really like to see the stat 😂 It bothers me when it’s inaccurate

That's never going to be the case for me until they fix the completely broken playtime tracker on PS5. I'd rather my expensive console accurately track time than add a bit of extra controller rumble.

I recently made the switch to buying third-party games on Xbox Series X because of this, where the user experience is much better. PS5 for exclusives and review games only henceforth.

Re: Dead Space (PS5) - Faithful Remake Brings Back a Classic

@themightyant I just found them disappointing in general, really. Compared to other native PS5 games, I don't think it stacks up all that well. It looks fine, completely passable. But when you're putting out a PS5-only remake, where one of the most important things is the visual upgrade, I think it could look quite a bit better.

Re: Hands On: PSVR2 Represents the Next Big Step for VR

@LN78 I already had one pre-ordered prior to this, but the demo has made me more excited for it to arrive! One of the best things I've played in VR.

@Jaz007 I found it a bit more engaging than that, but my full Horizon Call of the Mountain impressions will go live tomorrow.

@Bunchesopuppies I believe the cable is four to five metres long. It never got in my way.

@Muse2007 The haptic feedback and vibrations in the headset were really good! I could really feel them, especially when a machine was nearby.

@thefourfoldroot1 The demo took place at PlayStation's HQ in London, but it was the demo as the CES one.

1. I don't know on that one. It was all set up for me ready to go, logged into one PS5 profile.

2. I don't wear any glasses or contacts. The eye tracking took some getting used to, but it's pretty straightforward once you wrap your head around it.

3. I didn't notice any of that.

@NEStalgia Interesting you bring that up, actually. I completely forgot about that problem, but yes, I had a lot of issues with the PSVR fogging up when I was playing it. It was a real irritation of mine.

This didn't happen once during my time with PSVR2. No fogging, no smears. Nothing at all!

Re: Poll: How Would You Rate The Last of Us - Episode 2?

LiamCroft

@Slippship Then don't click on the article before you've watched it. There are no spoilers in the headline. There are no spoilers in the lead image. There are no spoilers in the body of text. Hell, these polls are pre-written before the episode even airs. I haven't even watched it yet!

The majority of our audience is based in the USA, and we must cater to that. This is simply a poll asking for people's general thoughts.
