@Rich33 It's definitely not a locked 60fps on base PS5, but I found it to be a mostly smooth experience for the most part. Nothing has been said about a PS5 Pro just yet.
As I said in the review, I usually really like the story-focused Supermassive games, but this one just didn't land for me whatsoever. Maybe you'll enjoy it more than me, though! Feel free to copy me in for any questions.
@Leon_93 @jrt87 Yes, it is typical, which is why it's quite strange to use that opening section as a vertical slice of the game for me to write about. As I said in the article, Metaphor: ReFantazio is shaping up to be one of the best games of the year, but if you want to demonstrate that, you don't give someone the very first hour full of tutorials and on-screen pop-ups, do you?
@Sequel Yes it is, Charles spoke of how his wife gave them the original recordings and they're being resorted in a better fashion for the Reforged version.
@Jettstyles Most of the open world interactions and events I saw were discovered naturally, so it was based on me simply seeing something out that looked interesting and investigating it. Once I got there, it was usually marked on my map after the fact. I think a lot of it was scripted, but it's going to feel like a more natural occurrence in the moment than you simply highlighting a marker and going there in the knowledge something is there.
As for the wanted system, I only had it once and it was from a failed dialogue choice. I'm not sure how the whole system operates I'm afraid.
Hey everyone, if you have any questions about what I played, feel free to copy me in. I was already excited about Star Wars Outlaws, but this preview session made me confident it's going to be a great game.
@Diowine An 8/10 on our review scale is “Great”. I also gave Elden Ring, the base game, a 9/10. I think we’re fans of FromSoftware! Not everything is a 10/10.
@Gremio108 @Bydlak While you can access it earlier, I really feel the DLC is pretty much end-game content. We were given level 150 characters to play with at the preview event and it was difficult.
@CJD87 Thanks! Yes, all the new items and weapons will be usable in the base game too. The only thing that won’t carry back is the new levelling mechanic, which is exclusive to the DLC area.
I can’t say for sure how it would affect matchmaking, but since everyone is still connecting to the same server, I would assume the game will act the same and let you matchmake with non-DLC owners, and vice versa.
@KundaliniRising333 FromSoftware has said the play space of the DLC is about the same size as Limgrave.
As for side dungeons, I can only speak for the opening area, but there was one location that was just a staircase down into a cave that housed an immediate boss fight. It looked just like some of those underground dungeons you'd see in the early base game.
@Darude84 I'd strongly recommend leaving a fully levelled character at the end of the game and not jumping into New Game+. The characters we could choose from were all level 150 and the DLC was difficult.
If you want to play more of the game, I'd create a second character and mess around with it for a bit. Then you have your main character ready and waiting for the DLC.
Hey everyone, I can only speak to what I saw in the three hours of the preview session, but if you have any questions, feel free to copy me in and I'll try to answer them the best I can.
@thefourfoldroot1 We don't really have the full details surrounding Infinity yet, but the purchases will have to exist on the PS Store also. I don't think Sony will be cut out of anything.
The initial reaction to the PSN requirement from gamers was embarrassing, but Sony's really gone and stuck its foot in it now with this move. Such a bad decision.
Sigh. This is just really, really crap. How much money do you really save by closing a small but excellent developer in Roll7? Especially when you own the GTA series. Crap.
@atthegates Check your PS5 download of Fallout 4. Are you able click on it and open up a list containing the DLCs? That's where all my downloads are currently housed and I had to delete the PS4 downloads.
@Anke That's really strange, you should be offered the free upgrade. You own the exact same content as me, except I bought the base game and then season pass afterwards, and I'm being offered the free upgrade. Hopefully this issue is sorted out promptly.
@KundaliniRising333 Unfortunately not, but 60fps and a 4K resolution are assumed. The only official info out of Bethesda has come from the single blog post.

Re: Silent Hill 2 (PS5) - The Horror Great Remains So in This Excellent Remake
@BolkaRover I’d just play this straight away, the PS5 version is that original game plus quite a bit more.

@Gravytrain I reviewed the game over the course of three days, every time playing roughly one to two hours, just so you know.

@TomasVrboda There wasn't any voice acting full stop in the demo I played. It was just text on the screen.

Re: Preview: Star Wars Outlaws Thrives in Its Rewarding Open World
@Vorflynn The PC stream was way below what we'll be playing on PS5. It'll look a lot better running natively.
