@Fill3rup_ There is a tutorial, but we skipped it for the preview. The campaign is you working through these planets, selected from a big war table. It's kind of one big encompassing thing I believe, a campaign you can play with friends.
@ReadySlayerOne I don't know what the resolution was, but it felt like a smooth 60fps while I was playing.
@Weebleman Revives are still very much a thing. You get to control the capsule for a few seconds before it lands so you probably could squash another teammate with it
@naruball I think the difference is it's not really trying to be PT. The Short Message is completely linear in its structure and there's no room for secrets, and it isn't scary. Like, there's no possible way this thing is hiding a secret game announcement or anything like that. There's not enough to it.
@themightyant I had fun in fits and starts, sure. There's still potential here; I haven't written the game off entirely yet. It's more the cutscenes themselves than the actual story they're telling — they're really high quality and have a lot of good writing in them. I like them a lot.
@Titntin It's not a review; they're first impressions. The article states this.
@HenryMcI Each character has their own melee attack and skill trees, but from what I've seen so far, they don't really differentiate them from the others. The main difference is definitely the traversal.
I kind of just blurted all my thoughts out at once in this article, so it's probably not quite as structured as usual. If you have any questions based on the first few hours, feel free to copy me in.
@Ooccoo_Jr Thanks! I wouldn’t recommend it as your first game in the series, it’s building off Yakuza: Like a Dragon story-wise. That would be the best place to start.
@johncalmc Errm I wouldn’t call it incomplete, but I can understand why someone might not be entirely satisfied by it.
Hey everyone, I've played close to 70 hours of Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth these past few weeks. So, if you have any questions, feel free to copy me in.
@pharos_haven It sounds like they've committed to supporting the game with new content and updates after launch for one year, and then they'll assess any further efforts based on the success of the game.
Yep, that story beat was publicly revealed in a trailer previously. It seems to be the main arc of Kiryu’s campaign so it’s necessary to mention as that’s what I played during the preview event.
@UltimateOtaku91 We all submit a top five games, which is what you see in the personal articles. Editors have 10, 8, 6, 4, and 2 points awarded to their top five games, freelancers 5, 4, 3, 2, and 1. The community vote is given the freelancer voting points. The games with the most points form our top 10.
@UltimateOtaku91 The community results holds the same weight as a single freelancer’s votes. I’ll say a lot of people are going to have egg on their face when they see the poll results from the community vote 🤣
Please Note: This category was decided before the Final Fantasy XVI and God of War Ragnarok expansions had even been announced. Therefore, they weren't considered for this GOTY award. You can vote for them in the poll, though!
Watching this trailer just makes me wish there was even a chance of a Fallout 5 game releasing in the next five years. I think it nails the tone and setting.
@Foxhound The sort of audience these adverts are designed to target don’t care about something like that. It’s for the casual market, not hardcore people.
@ImmaWario I feel this type of game has evolved from when Firewatch launched, to the point where this structure feels a bit old. For example, What Remains of Edith Finch really changes up its gameplay pretty dramatically all the time. The Invincible doesn't.
@themightyant MGS1 requires a minimum of two playthroughs, and all three games ask you to get a Fox / Big Boss rank. Those are really hard requirements and will potentially take multiple attempts.
@Ravix @Quintumply I played the whole game through with my normal earphones and can't say I noticed anything particularly special to do with the sound. I'm not really clued up on audio, though, so you may need to go to a better source for this. As just a standard person, I didn't pick up on anything special.

Re: Preview: Helldivers 2 Utterly Revels in Its Chaotic Bug Battles
@WanderingBullet I don't know for certain, but I'd expect that extra content will be bundled together as a DLC you could buy separately at launch.

This is really sad and disappointing to see. Hoping all those affected land on their feet elsewhere.
Re: Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth (PS5) - The Best Yakuza Game Ever Made
@Ryne-Gaia To get through the final story battles comfortably, try to get both parties to at least 50.
Re: Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth (PS5) - The Best Yakuza Game Ever Made
@MeerkatSimples I’m afraid not, they’re purely for stat boosts.
@Elodin The story will definitely be a lot harder to follow, but the gameplay itself and standalone stories are incredibly enjoyable.

@Athrum How have you come to that conclusion based on a Foamstars release date?
